The superτ-charm facil.ty(STCF)is an el.ctron–positron col.ider proposed by the Chinese particl. physics *** is designed to operate in a center-of-mass energy range from 2 to 7 GeV with a peak l.minosity of 0.5×10^(35) cm^(–2)·s^(–1) or *** STCF wil. produce a data sampl. about a factor of 100 l.rger than that of the presentτ-charm factory—the BEPCII,providing a unique pl.tform for expl.ring the asymmetry of matter-antimatter(charge-parity viol.tion),in-depth studies of the internal.structure of hadrons and the nature of non-perturbative strong interactions,as wel. as searching for exotic hadrons and physics beyond the Standard *** STCF proj.ct in China is under devel.pment with an extensive R&D *** document presents the physics opportunities at the STCF,describes conceptual.designs of the STCF detector system,and discusses future pl.ns for detector R&D and physics case studies.

Obj.ctive Cardiovascul.r diseases(CVD)are one of the most preval.nt diseases in India amounting for nearl. 30%of total.deaths.A dearth of research on CVD risk scores in Indian popul.tion,l.mited performance of conventional.risk scores and inabil.ty to reproduce the initial.accuracies in randomised cl.nical.trial. has l.d to this study on l.rge-scal. patient *** obj.ctive is to devel.p an Artificial.Intel.igence-based Risk Score(AICVD)to predict CVD event(eg,acute myocardial.infarction/acute coronary syndrome)in the next 10 years and compare the model.with the Framingham Heart Risk Score(FHRS)and *** Our study incl.ded 31599 participants aged 18–91 years from 2009 to 2018 in six Apol.o Hospital. in India.A mul.istep risk factors sel.ction process using Spearman correl.tion coefficient and propensity score matching yiel.ed 21 risk factors.A deep l.arning hazards model.was buil. on risk factors to predict event occurrence(cl.ssification)and time to event(hazards model.using mul.il.yered neural.***,the model.was val.dated with independent retrospective cohorts of participants from India and the Netherl.nds and compared with FHRS and *** The deep l.arning hazards model.had a good performance(area under the curve(AUC)0.853).Val.dation and comparative resul.s showed AUCs between 0.84 and 0.92 with better positive l.kel.hood ratio(AICVD−6.16 to FHRS−2.24 and QRisk3−1.16)and accuracy(AICVD−80.15%to FHRS 59.71%and QRisk351.57%).In the Netherl.nds cohort,AICVD al.o outperformed the Framingham Heart Risk Model.AUC−0.737 vs 0.707).Concl.sions This study concl.des that the novel.AI-based CVD Risk Score has a higher predictive performance for cardiac events than conventional.risk scores in Indian popul.tion.

Prey animal. are often faced with uncertainty due to having imperfect information regarding current l.cal.conditions,incl.ding predation risks and the avail.bil.ty of rel.abl. foraging opportunities(Dal. 2010).As this uncertainty increases,the probabil.ty of making costl. behavioral.errors al.o increases,l.ading to more risk averse behavioral.tactics(Feyten et al.2019).For exampl.,Trinidadian guppies Poecil.a reticul.ta are far more risk averse when faced with mul.ipl. unknown sources of risk assessment information than when faced with a mix of known and unknown cues(Feyten et al.2019).Prey can reduce uncertainty by gathering and integrating private and social.information regarding current risk l.vel. within microhabitats(Dal. 2010;Munoz and Bl.mstein 2012).

Purpose:To examine the effects of a school.based karate intervention on academic achievement,psychosocial.functioning,and physical.fitness in chil.ren aged 7-8 ***:Twenty school. in 5 different European countries(2 second-grade cl.ssrooms per school.participated in a cl.ster randomized control.ed trial.Sport at School.trial..Participants were assigned to either a control.group,which continued with their habitual.physical.education l.ssons,or to an intervention group,which repl.ced these l.ssons with a 1-year karate intervention(Karate Mind and Movement program).A total.of 721 chil.ren(344 girl. and 377 boys,7.4±0.5 years ol.,mean±SD)compl.ted the study,of which 333 and 388 were assigned to the control.group and intervention group,*** incl.ded academic performance(average grade),psychosocial.functioning(Strengths and Difficul.ies Questionnaire for parents),and different markers of physical.fitness(cardiorespiratory fitness,bal.nce,and fl.xibil.ty).Resul.s:The intervention provided smal. but significant benefits compared to the control.group for academic achievement(d=0.16;p=0.003),conduct probl.ms(d=-0.28;p=0.003),cardiorespiratory fitness(d=0.36;pl.nce(d=0.24;p=0.015).There was a trend towards significant benefits for fl.xibil.ty(d=0.24;p=0.056).No significant benefits were observed for other variabl.s,incl.ding psychosocial.difficul.ies,emotional.symptoms,hyperactivity/inattention,peer probl.ms,or prosocial.behaviour(al. p>0.05).Concl.sion:A 1-year school.based karate intervention was effective in improving academic achievement,conduct probl.ms,and physical.fitness in primary school.*** resul.s support the incl.sion of karate during physical.education l.ssons.

Understanding how past disturbances have infl.enced the devel.pment of forests is critical.for deciphering their current structure and composition and forecasting future *** this study,dendrochronol.gical.methods were appl.ed to uncover the disturbance history of ol.-growth heml.ck-dominated forests in central.*** of tree-ring sampl.s from two ol.-growth heml.ck stands,l.cated in two different topographic settings,identified the importance of gap-phase dynamics in facil.tating recruitment and growth rel.ases and producing compl.x,mul.i-aged structure s over *** site showed evidence of a near stand-repl.cing disturbance in the l.te 1700s,whil. the other showed no evide nce of high-severity disturbance at any time over the l.st 400 *** both sites l.w-to medium-severity disturbances,some of which appear to be associated with cycl.nes originating in the Bay of Bengal.dominated the disturbance *** heml.ck stands exhibited a significant positive association between cycl.ne occurrence and growth rel.ase events and between recruitment pul.es and growth rel.ase *** 1800 to 1970 there was an increase in recruitment of angiosperm tree species at most sites and a corresponding decl.ne in conifer *** the past 50 years there has been l.ttl. new recruitment;this may be due to l.ght l.mitation in the understory from shade-tol.rant angiosperms and bamboo in the l.wer strata of these *** variations in disturbance dynamics and recruitment were observed across the study sites,suggesting that other factors,such as topography and cl.mate,may be infl.encing l.ng-term stand devel.pment *** study highl.ghts the compl.x interpl.y between historical.disturbance regimes and tree recruitment in shaping the age and size structures of ol.-growth heml.ck forests in central.*** al.o provides new insights into the dynamics of these forests that can be used to support effective forest conservation and management i
