Using a stif.ness matrix method, we in- vestigate the propagation behaviors of.elastic waves in one-dimensional （1D） piezoelectric/piezomagnetic （PE/PM） phononic crystals （PCs） with line def.cts by calculating energy ref.ection/transmittion coef.icients of.quasi-pressure and quasi-shear waves. Line def.cts are created by the re- placement of.PE or PM constituent layer. The def.ct modes existing in the f.rst gap are considered and the inf.uences on def.ct modes of.the material properties and volume f.action of.the def.ct layers, the type of.incident waves, the location of.def.ct layer and the number of.structural layers are discussed in detail. Numerical results indicate that def.ct modes are the most obvious when the def.ct layers are inserted in the middle of.the perf.ct PCs; the types of.incidence wave and material properties of.the def.ct layers have important ef.ects on the numbers, the location of.f.equencies and the peaks of.def.ct modes, and the def.ct modes are strongly de- pendent on volume f.action of.the def.ct layers. We hope this paper will be f.und usef.l f.r the design of.PE/PM acoustic f.lters or acoustic transducer with PCs structures.

We introduce the Dirac equation in f.ur-dimensional gravity which is a generally covariant f.rm. We choose the suitable variable and solve the corresponding equation. To solve such equation and to obtain the corresponding bispinor, we employ the f.ctorization method which introduces the associated Laguerre polynomial. The asso- ciated Laguerre polynomials help us to write the Dirac equation of.f.ur-dimensional gravity in the f.rm of.the shape invariance equation. Thus we write the shape invariance condition with respect to the secondary quantum number. f.nally, we obtain the spinor wave f.nction and achieve the corresponding stability of.condition f.r the f.ur-dimensional gravity system.

One-neutron stripping process between^(6)Li and^(209)Bi was studied at 28,30,and 34 MeV using the in-beamγ-ray spectroscopy ***γ-γcoincident analysis clearly identif.ed twoγ-rays f.eding the ground and long-lived isomeric states,which were employed to determine the cross *** one-neutron stripping cross sections were similar to the cross sections of.complete f.sion in the^(6)Li+^(209)Bi system,but the one-neutron stripping cross sections decreased more gradually at the sub-barrier region.A coupled-reaction-channel calculation was perf.rmed to study the detailed reaction mechanism of.the one-neutron stripping process in^(6)*** calculations indicated that the f.rst excited state of.5 Li is critical in the actual one-neutron transf.r mechanism,and the valence proton of.209Bi can be excited to the low-lying excited state in(^(6)Li,^(5)Li)reaction,unlike in the(d,p)reaction.

Based on technical processing of.high-resolution SPOT images and aerophotos, detailed mapping of.of.set landf.rms in combination with f.eld examination and displacement measurement, and dating of.of.set geomorphic surf.ces by using carbon f.urteen (14C), cos- mogenic nuclides (10Be+26Al) and thermoluminescence (TL) methods, the Holocene sinistral slip rates on dif.erent segments of.the Altyn Tagh f.ult (ATf. are obtained. The slip rates reach 17.5 ±2 mm/a on the central and western segments west of.Aksay Town, 11±3.5 mm/a on the Subei-Shibaocheng segment, 4.8±1.0 mm/a on the Sulehe segment and only 2.2±0.2 mm/a on the Kuantanshan segment, an easternmost segment of.the ATf. The sudden change points f.r loss of.sinistral slip rates are located at the Subei, Shibaocheng and Shulehe triple j.nctions where NW-trending active thrust f.ults splay f.om the ATf.and propagate southeastward. Slip vector analyses indicate that the loss of.the sinistral slip rates f.om west to east across a triple j.nction has structurally transf.rmed into local crustal shortening perpendicular to the active thrust f.ults and strong uplif.ing of.the thrust sheets to f.rm the NW-trending Danghe Nanshan, Daxueshan and Qilianshan Ranges. Theref.re, the eastward extrusion of.the northern Qing- hai-Tibetan Plateau is limited and this is in accord with “the imbricated thrusting transf.rma- tion-limited extrusion model”.

Numerical computation of.the f.owf.eld inside a pump is herein used as a numerical laboratory, subj.ct to the limitations of.modeling assumptions and to experimental verif.cation. A numerical computation of.the f.ow inside a real industrial centrif.gal pump is perf.rmed that includes a very sophisticated geometry. Conversely to other computations, in this test case no simplif.cation of.the geometry was introduced. Numerical computations are obtained using Spalart-Allmaras turbulence model. A detailed analysis of.the turbulent f.owstructure is perf.rmed f.r the design point and two of. design conditions. Additional computations were perf.rmed in order to compare the numerical and experimental pump characteristics; these were obtained under normalized testing conditions. f.rther computations are presented f.r the pump working in reverse turbine mode (PAT). Detailed analyses of.the f.ow allow a comparison of.the internal f.ow losses when the pump is operating in direct and reverse mode. This is also usef.l to help in the selection of.an adequate pump geometry that can work in both modes with best ef.iciency.

Maize(Zea mays)endosperm is an important f.od source f.r humans and *** addition,it is considered an excellent model f.r research on seed development because of.its relatively large size f.r both embryo and endosperm compared to those of.other crop species,such as rice(Oryza sativa)and wheat(Triticum aestivum).Af.er double f.rtilization,early maize endosperm development includes three stages:(i)a multinucleate coenocyte stage;(i)a cellularization stage,in which the cellular endosperm is f.rmed;and(ii)a stage of.dif.erentiation into distinct *** early dif.erentiation,f.ur maj.r cell types with specif.c f.nctions dif.erentiate within the endosperm:starchy endosperm,aleurone layer,basal endosperm transf.r layer(BETL),and embryo surrounding *** subaleurone,conducting zone,basal intermediate zone,and endosperm adj.cent to scutellum arise in late dif.erentiation(Sabelli and Larkins 2009).Af.er the main cell types are established,maize endosperm undergoes intensive cell prolif.ration,which marks the transition to the endosperm-f.lling *** the endosperm-f.ling stage,the maternal sucrose products are transported to seeds through the BETL region,where they will act as the main carbon substrate f.r storage products such as starch and proteins(Chen et al.,2023).In f.ct,the endosperm of.maize seeds accounts f.r approximately 90%of.the total grain weight,serving as an important nutrient reservoir(f.int-garcia et al.,2009).

The sessile drop method was applied to the experimental investigation of.the wetting and spreading behaviors of.liquid Mg drops on pure Ni *** comparison,the experiments were perf.rmed in two variants:(1)using the Capillary Purif.cation(CP)procedure,which allows the non-contact heating and squeezing of.a pure oxide-f.ee Mg drop;(2)by classical Contact Heating(CH)*** high-temperature tests were perf.rmed under isothermal conditions(CP:760℃f.r 30 s;CH:715℃f.r 300 s)using Ar+5 wt%H_(2) *** the sessile drop tests,images of.the Mg/Ni couples were recorded by CCD cameras(57 f.s),which were then applied to calculate the contact angles of.metal/substrate *** and transmission electron microscopy analyses,both coupled with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy,were used f.r detailed structural characterization of.the solidif.ed *** was f.und that an oxide-f.ee Mg drop obtained by the CP procedure showed a wetting phenomenon on the Ni substrate(an average contact angleθf.llowed by f.st spreading and good wetting over the Ni substrate(θ_((CP))~20°in 5 s)to f.rm a f.nal contact angle of._(f.CP))~18°.In contrast,a dif.erent wetting behavior was observed f.r the CH procedure,where the unavoidable primary oxide f.lm on the Mg surf.ce blocked the spreading of.liquid Mg showing apparently non-wetting behavior af.er 300 s contact at the test ***,in both cases,the deep craters f.rmed in the Ni substrates under the Mg drops and signif.cant change in the structure of.initially pure Mg drops to Mg-Ni alloys suggest a strong dissolution of.Ni in liquid Mg and apparent values of.the f.nal contact angles measured f.r the Mg/Ni system.

Advances in the neurobiology of.growth f.ctors, neural development, and prevention of.cell death have resulted in a heightened clinical interest f.r the development of.protective and regenerative neuromodulatory strategies f.r the cavernous nerves （CNs）, as therapies f.r prostate cancer and other pelvic malignancies of.en result in neuronal damage and debilitating loss of.sexual f.nction. Nitric oxide released f.om the axonal end plates of.these nerves within the corpora cavernosa causes relaxation of.smooth muscle, initiating the haemodynamic changes of.penile erection as well as contributing to maintained tumescence; the loss of.CN f.nction is primarily responsible f.r the development of.erectile dysf.nction （ED） af.er pelvic surgery and serves as the primary target f.r potential neuroprotective or regenerative strategies. Evidence f.om pre-clinical studies f.r select neuromodulatory approaches is reviewed, including neurotrophins, glial cell line-derived neurotrophic f.ctors （GDNf., bone morphogenic proteins, immunophilin ligands, erythropoetin （EPO）, and stem cells.

Predator odors can elicit f.ar responses in prey and predator odor recognition is generally associated with physiological responses. Prey species are of.en more likely to respond to the odor of.f.miliar ra- ther than alien predators. However, predator na＇ivety in an introduced prey species has rarely been investigated. We examined the physiological response, as shown by changes in ventilatory vari- ables, of.an introduced terrestrial herbivore, the European rabbit Oryctolagus cuniculus, in Australia, to the odor of.potential predators and to control odors （distilled water and horse）, to explore if.res- ponses were limited to historical （cat and f.x） predators, or extended to historically novel predators （snake and quoll）. All odors except distilled water elicited a response, with rabbits showing long- term higher respiratory f.equencies and lower tidal volumes af.er introduction of.the odors, indi- cating an increase in alertness. However, the intensity of.the rabbits＇ reaction could not be directly linked to any pattern of.response with respect to the history of.predator-prey relationships. Rabbits exhibited signif.cantly stronger reactions in response to both cat and quoll odors than they did to dis- tilled water, but responses to horse, f.x, and snake odor were similar to that of.water. Our results show that the introduced rabbit can respond to both historical and novel predators in Australia, and suggest that shared evolutionary history is not necessarily a prerequisite to predator odor recognition.

Coal washing plants are usually f.d f.om various sources. Coals include dif.erent combinations which should be considered f.r increasing the plant prof.ciency. Thus dif.erent methods have been used to enrich various coal types. In this study, Alborz-Sharghi coal washing plant was investigated which is f.d f.om f.ve coalmines. The optimum recovery was achieved f.r all coal types individually through experimental design. The controllable operation parameters in the experiments were collector dosage,f.other dosage, solid percent content and particle size. The other parameters such as impeller speed,pH, conditioning time and f.otation time were kept constant f.r all experiments. The optimum combination of.coals was also specif.ed. The results show that the optimum recovery f.r coal blends is 91.2%which shows much improvement relative to the plant conditions.
