This paper reviews the rec.ntly developed optic.l interc.nnec. tec.nologies designed for sc.lab.e, low latenc. and high-throughput c.munic.tions within datac.nters or high perforrmnc. c.mputers. The three typic.l arc.itec.ures inc.uding the b.oadc.st-and-selec. b.sed Optic.l Shared Memory Superc.mputer Interc.nnec. System （OSMOSIS） switc., the defec.ion routing b.sed Data Vortex switc. and the arrayed waveguide grating b.sed Low-latenc. Interc.nnec. Optic.l Network Switc. （LIONS） switc. are disc.ssed in detail. In partic.lar, we investigate the various Ioopb.c. b.ffering tec.nologies in LIONS and present a proof of princ.ple testb.d demonstration showing feasib.lity of LIONS arc.itec.ure. Moreover, the performanc. of LIONS, Data Vortex and OSMOSIS with traditional state-of-the-art elec.ric.l switc.ing network b.sed on the Flattened-b.tterFly （Fb.） arc.itec.ure in terms of throughput and latenc. are c.mpared. The sinmlation b.sed perfortmnc. study shows that the latenc. of LIONS is almost independent of the numb.r of input ports and does not saturate even at very high input load.

c.mmerc.al b.oilers （c.） have b.en generally reared in Korea; however, Korean native c.ic.en （KNc. is also b.ed for meat produc.ion. This study was performed to evaluate the b.havioral c.arac.eristic. of Korean native c.ic.ens （Han-hyup） and c.mmerc.al b.oilers （Ross 308）. In the study, KNc.and c. were separately housed in 4 pens （30 b.rds/pen）, so there were two replic.tes for eac. treatment. c.ic.ens were ob.erved b. video rec.rding throughout the 8 weeks growth period for 12 hours eac. day. The time spent （standing, sitting, and walking） and frequenc.es （drinking, feeding, preening, dust-b.thing, flapping, aggressive pec.ing, and ground pec.ing） of c.ic.en＇s b.havior were evaluated. b.havior was c.mpared b.tween the earlier period （1 to 4 weeks） and the later one （5 to 8 weeks） to know the c.anges in eac. b.havior as they matured. Results showed that more time was spent on standing b. KNc.than c.. On the c.ntrary, time spent for sitting b.havior was less in KNc. The frequenc.es of most b.haviors in KNc.were higher than c. in the earlier period exc.pt feeding and dust-b.thing. The greatest dec.easing b.havior as they matured was walking in b.th treatments, and a large numb.r of c.mmerc.al b.oilers did not walk, b.t instead rested as days passed. Feeding b.havior of c. was more frequent in the earlier stage, b.t gradually reversed in the later period. The ac.ive b.haviors suc. as fe, eding, preening, pec.ing, flapping and aggressive pec.ing in the KNc.group were higher than the c. group, dec.ining as time passed in b.th treatments; exc.pt dust-b.thing that showed opposite pattern. These results were showed that KNc.are muc. more ac.ive c.mpared to c., espec.ally for walking, preening and pec.ing b.havior. This may c.nc.ude that they may have fewer tendenc.es to develop potential health prob.ems like dermatitis or even disease like sudden death syndrome.

There is c.nsiderab.e interest in potential aneutronic.fusion reac.ors. One possib.e reac.ion is^(11)b.p,a)***, the emitted alpha partic.es are energetic.enough to generate neutrons b. interac.ing with b.ron inside the reac.or through the ^(11)b.α,n)^(14N) and ^(10)b.α,n)^(13)N *** aid in evaluating neutron produc.ion within this potential aneutronic.reac.or, the total c.oss sec.ions were measured for the ^(11)b.α,n)^(14N) reac.ion b.tween 2 and 6 MeV and for the ^(10)b.α,n)^(13)N reac.ion b.tween 2 and 4.8 MeV. The results are presented and c.mpared with previously reported results.

The c.mplex genetic.arc.itec.ure of quality traits has hindered efforts to modify seed nutrients in soyb.an. Genome-wide assoc.ation studies were c.nduc.ed for seed c.mposition, inc.uding protein, oil, fatty ac.ds, and amino ac.ds, using 313 diverse soyb.an germplasm ac.essions genotyped with a high-density SNP array. A total of 87 c.romosomal regions were identified to b. assoc.ated with seed c.mposition, explain- ing 8%-89% of genetic.varianc.s. The c.ndidate genes GmSAT1, AK-HSDH, SAc.D-c. and FAD3A of known func.ion, and putative MtN21 nodulin, FATb. and steroid-5-^-reduc.ase involved in N2 fixation, amino ac.d b.osynthesis, and fatty ac.d metab.lism were found at the maj.r-effec. loc.. Further analysis of additional germplasm ac.essions indic.ted that these maj.r-effec. loc. had b.en sub.24}c.ed to domes- tic.tion or modern b.eeding selec.ion, and the allelic.variants and distrib.tions were relevant to geographic.regions. We also revealed that amino ac.d c.nc.ntrations related to seed weight and to total protein had a different genetic.b.sis. This helps unc.ver the in-depth genetic.mec.anism of the intric.te relationships among the seed c.mpounds. Thus, our study not only provides valuab.e genes and markers for soyb.an nutrient improvement, b.th quantitatively and qualitatively, b.t also offers insights into the alteration of soyb.an quality during domestic.tion and b.eeding.

b.c.ground: A spec.al hydroxypropylmethyl-c.llulose powder (Nasaleze?) has b.en used for the alleviation of nasal symptoms of allergic.rhinitis sinc. 1994. The effic.c. of the produc. has b.en rec.ntly proven b.t the mec.anism of ac.ion was still largely unknown. The aim of the study was to investigate the hypothesis that the gel formed after moisture ab.orption in the nose might ac. as mec.anic.l b.rrier that prevents allergen diffusion towards the nasal epithelium. Methods: The diffusion of Der p 1 through HPMc.and agar gels was measured in vitro after 15, 30, 60, 180 and 360 minutes using ELISA. Agar b.oc.s were used to simulate the nasal muc.sa. c.ntrol samples without gel layer were ob.ained. Results: The c.ntrol samples with no applied gel b.rrier ab.orb.d 72.2 % of the Der p 1 solution after 15 minutes and 100 % after 60 minutes. In c.mparison, the HPMc.and agar gel layers b.th signific.ntly delayed Der p 1 diffu-sion. After 15 minutes 0.76 % had diffused through the HPMc.gel layer c.mpared to 28.1 % whic. diffused through the agar layer. After 360 minutes, 14.1 % of the b.seline Der p 1 c.ossed the HPMc.gel layer while 100 % had diffused through the agar layer. c.nc.usions: HPMc.gel signific.ntly reduc.s Der p 1 diffusion in vitro c.mpared to no b.rrier and an agar gel layer. This is likely to b. due to the small mesh size of the polymer network of HPMc.and c.uld have important implic.tions for a preventative treat-ment of allergic.rhinitis.

In this work the struc.ural c.anges induc.d b. aged treatment have shown a c.nnec.ion with differenc.s of hardness and elec.roc.emic.l performanc.. Al-b.se alloys have b.en investigated b. means of Vic.ers hardness, X-ray diffrac.ion, sc.nning elec.ron and short-term elec.roc.emic.l test. X-ray diffrac.ion result reveals the formation of (MgZn)49Al32 phase for two c.nditions, the first one is when the magnesium c.ntent is upper to 5.49% in as-c.st c.ndition and the sec.nd one after the thermal treatment c.rried out at 450?c.for 5 h. In addition, the hardness and elec.roc.emic.l performanc. has b.en influenc.d b. the presenc. and quantity of the (MgZn)49Al32 phase. The addition of magnesium alloying modifies the mic.ostruc.ure, inc.eases the c.ntent of (MgZn)49Al32 phase and provides a loc.lized c.rrosion whic. c.nduc.d to the b.eakdown of the oxide film (?-Al2O3) formed on the Al alloy surfac..

Introduc.ion: Split thic.ness skin grafts are frequently employed to provide b.ologic.l c.ver for extensive wounds. The take of the skin graft is traditionally estimated b. ob.ervation and rec.rded as a perc.ntage. The intent of this study was to asc.rtain the reliab.lity of the ob.ervation method in c.mparison with the Image j.digital programme. Materials and Methods: The study was a longitudinal study c.nduc.ed on the wards of the National Rec.nstruc.ive Plastic.Surgery and b.rns c.ntre (NRPSb.0} at the Korle b. Teac.ing Hospital (Kb.H) on patients who were admitted during the period of the study with wounds who rec.ived split skin grafts.
