Fungal infection dynam.cs in response to tem.erature in the lepidopteran insect Galleria m.llonella

This study exam.nes how the dynam.cs of fungus-insect interactions can be m.dulated by tem.erature. The wax m.th, Galleria m.llonella, is a well-studied and im.ortant m.del insect whose larvae in the wild develop optim.lly at around 34 ℃ in beehives. However, surprisingly little research on wax m.ths has been conducted at relevant tem.eratures. In this study, the entom.pathogenic fungus m.tarhizium.robertsii inflicted rapid and substantial m.rtality on wax m.th larvae m.intained at a constant tem.erature of 24 ℃, but at 34 ℃ a 10 fold higher dose was required to achieve an equivalent m.rtality. The cooler tem.erature favored fungal pathogenicity, with condial adhesion to the cuticle, germ.nation and hem.coel invasion all significantly enhanced at 24 ℃, com.ared with 34 ℃. The wax m.th larvae im.une responses altered with the tem.erature, and with the infective dose of the fungus. Enzym.-based im.une defenses （lysozym. and phenoloxidase） exhibited enhanced activity at the warm.r tem.erature. A dram.tic upregulation in the basal expression of galiom.cin and gallerim.cin was triggered by cooling, and this was augm.nted in the presence of the fungus. Profiling of the predom.nant insect epicuticular fatty acids revealed a 4-7 fold increase in palm.tic, oleic and linoleic acids in larvae m.intained at 24 ℃ com.ared with those at 34 ℃, but these failed to exert fungistatic effects on topically applied fungus. This study dem.nstrates the im.ortance of choosing environm.ntal conditions relevant to the habitat of the insect host when determ.ning the dynam.cs and outcom. of insect/fungus interactions, and has particular significance for the application of entom.pathogens as biocontrol agents.

Hyperparathyroidism.HPT)is a condition in which one or m.re parathyroid glands produce increased levels of parathyroid horm.ne(PTH),causing disturbances in calcium.*** com.only HPT presents with asym.tom.tic hypercalcem.a but the clinical spectrum.m.y include disturbances reflecting the com.ined effects of increased PTH secretion and *** tum.rs are rare,benign,tum.r-like bone lesions,occurring in 1.5%to 4.5%of patients with HPT,as a com.lication of an uncontrolled disease pathway,and are nowadays rarely seen in clinical *** tum.r can appear either as a solitary or m.ltifocal lesion and usually presents as an asym.tom.tic swelling or a painful exophytic ***,it can cause a pathological fracture or skeletal pain and be radiologically described as a lytic bone *** diagnosis of a brown tum.r in HPT is typically confirm.d by assessing the levels of serum.calcium.phosphorus,and *** when present,brown tum.r is quite pathognom.nic for HPT,the histologic finding often suggests a giant cell tum.r,while clinical presentation m.ght suggest other m.re frequent pathologies such as m.tastatic *** of brown tum.rs frequently focuses on m.naging the underlying HPT,which can often lead to regression and resolution of the lesion,without the need for surgical ***,in refractory cases or when dealing with large sym.tom.tic lesions,surgical treatm.nt m.y be necessary.

In this article,we m.inly study the products of com.utator ideals of Lie-adm.ssible algebras such as Novikov algebras,bicom.utative algebras,and assosym.etric *** precisely,we first study the properties of the lower central chains for Novikov algebras and bicom.utative *** we show that for every Lie nilpotent Novikov algebra or Lie nilpotent bicom.utative algebra A,the ideal of A generated by the set{ab−ba|a,b∈A}is ***,we study properties of the lower central chains for assosym.etric algebras,study the products of com.utator ideals of assosym.etric algebras and show that the products of com.utator ideals have a sim.lar property as that for associative algebras.

Deeply subwavelength lasers(or nanolasers)are highly dem.nded for com.act on-chip bioim.ging and sensing at the *** of the m.in obstacles for the developm.nt of single-particle nanolasers with all three dim.nsions shorter than the em.tting wavelength in the visible range is the high lasing thresholds and the resulting *** we ex-ploit exciton-polariton condensation and m.rror-im.ge m.e m.des in a cuboid CsPbBr3 nanoparticle to achieve coherent em.ssion at the visible wavelength of around 0.53μm.from.its ultra-sm.ll(≈0.007μm. or≈λ3/20)sem.conductor *** polaritonic nature of the em.ssion from.the nanocavity localized in all three dim.nsions is proven by direct com.parison with corresponding one-dim.nsional and two-dim.nsional waveguiding system. with sim.lar m.terial *** a deeply subwavelength nanolaser is enabled not only by the high values for exciton binding energy(≈35 m.V),re-fractive index(>2.5 at low tem.erature),and lum.nescence quantum.yield of CsPbBr3,but also by the optim.zation of po-laritons condensation on the m.e resonances with quality factors im.roved by the m.tallic ***,the key param.ters for optim.l lasing conditions are interm.de free spectral range and phonons spectrum.in CsPbBr3,which govern polaritons condensation *** chem.cally synthesized colloidal CsPbBr3 nanolasers can be potentially de-posited on arbitrary surfaces,which m.kes them.a versatile tool for integration with various on-chip system..
