A dust sediment layer was found on the outer tube wall when the ESCP （electrostatic centrifugal precipitator） trapped diesel particulates or ganister sand. The Compton back scatter method was used to measure the sediment thickness during the experiment. The effect of the inlet gas velocity on the dust sediment layer was investigated. PIV （Particle Image Velocimetry） was used to measure the velocity field between the inner barb tube wall and the outer tube wail. Experiments showed that the thickness of the sediment increased with time, and the sediment layer at the lower end was much thicker than that at the upper end. The agglomeration on the outer tube wall could be removed when the inlet gas velocity was increased to a certain value.

COVID-19 (Coronavirus disease of 2019) is caused by SArS-CoV2(Severe Acute respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2) and it was first diagnosedin December 2019 in China. As of 25th Aug 2021, there are 165 million con-firmed COVID-19 positive cases and 4.4 million deaths globally. As of today,though there are approved COVID-19 vaccine candidates only 4 billion doseshave been administered. Until 100% of the population is safe, no one is safe. Eventhough these vaccines can provide protection against getting seriously ill anddying from the disease, it does not provide 100% protection from getting infectedand passing it on to others. The more the virus spreads;it has more opportunity tomutate. So, it is mandatory to follow all precautions like maintaining social distance, wearing mask, washing hands frequently irrespective of whether a person isvaccinated or not. To prevent spread of the virus, contact tracing based on socialdistance also becomes equally important. The work proposes a solution that canhelp with contact tracing/identification, knowing the infected persons recent travelhistory (even within the city) for few days before being assessed positive. Whilethe person would be able to give the known contacts with whom he/she has interacted with, he/she will not be aware of who all were in proximity if he/she hadbeen in public places. The proposed solution is to get the CCTV (Closed-CircuitTelevision) video clips from those public places for the specific date and time andidentify the people who were in proximity—i.e., not followed the safe distance tothe infected person. The approach uses YOLO V3 (You Only Look Once) whichuses darknet framework for people detection. Once the infected person is locatedfrom the video frames, the distance from that person to the other people in theframe is found, to check if there is a violation of social distance guideline. Injury of the periodontium followed by inflammatory response often leads to mot resorption. resorption is accomplished by osteoclasts and their generation may depend on an interaction with the cells in direct contact with the root, the cementoblasts. Our study aimed to investigate the role of human cementoblasts in the formation of osteoclasts and the effect of interleukin （IL）- 1β hereupon. Extracted teeth from healthy volunteers were subjected to sequential digestion by type I collagenase and trypsin. The effect of enzymatic digestion on the presence of cells on the root surface was analyzed by histology. Gene expression of primary human cementoblasts （pHCB） was compared with a human cementoblast cell line （HCEM）. The pHCBs were analyzed for their expression of IL-1 receptors as well as of receptor activator of nuclear factor kappa-B ligand （rAnKL） and osteoprotegerin （OPG）. In a co-culture system consisting of osteoclast precursors （blood monocytes） and pHCBs, the formation of osteoclasts and their resorptive activity was assessed by osteo-assay and ivory slices. The cells obtained after a 120 min enzyme digestion expressed the highest level of bone sialoprotein, similar to that of HCEM. This fraction of isolated cells also shared a similar expression pattern of IL-1 receptors （ILl-r1 and ILl-r2）. Treatment with IL-11~ potently upregulated rAnKL expression but not of OPG. pHCBs were shown to induce the formation of functional osteoclasts. This capacity was significantly stimulated by pretreating the pHCBs with IL-1β prior to their co-culture with human blood monocytes. Our study demonstrated that cementoblasts have the capacity to induce osteoclastogenesis, a capacity strongly promoted by IL-1β. These results may explain why osteoclasts can be formed next to the root of teeth.

In this editorial,we comment on pancreatic cancer(PC),one of the most aggressive and lethal *** minimal improvements in survival rates have been achieved over recent *** chemotherapeutic regimens have little impact,and surgical resection remains the only reliable curative *** address current treatment options for these patients,focusing on the usefulness of breast cancer(BrCA)gene mutation as a prognostic biomarker and predictor of response to *** survival outcomes have been reported in patients with PC and mutant BrCA gene treated with first-line platinum-based ***,it appears appropriate to include BrCA gene status among clinical criteria used to select the chemotherapy *** addition,maintenance treatment with poly(ADP-ribose)polymerase inhibitors has been found to improve progression-free survival in patients with PC and mutated BrCA whose disease does not progress after first-line platinum-based *** combination has therefore been proposed as the optimal treatment regimen for these patients.

Fatigue strength,crack initiation and propagation behavior of rolled AZ31B magnesium alloy plate were investigated. Axial tension-compression fatigue tests were carried out with cylindrical smooth *** types of specimens were machined with the loading axis parallel(L-specimen)and perpendicular(T-specimen)to rolling *** compressive 0.2%proof stress,tensile strength and tensile elongation were similar for both *** the other hand,monotonic tensile 0.2%proof stress of the L-specimen was slightly higher than that of the ***,monotonic compressive 0.2%proof stresses were lower than tensile ones for both *** fatigue strengths of 107cycles of the L-and T-specimens were 95 and 85 MPa,respectively. Compared with the monotonic compressive 0.2%proof stresses,the fatigue strengths were higher for both *** other words, the fatigue crack did not initiate and propagate even though deformation twins were formed in compressive stress under the cyclic tension-compression *** fatigue crack initiated at early stage of the fatigue life in low cycle regime regardless of specimen *** crack growth rate of the L-specimen was slightly lower than of the ***,the fatigue lives of the L-specimen were longer than those of the T-specimen in low cycle regime.

Background: The aim of the present study was to evaluate the neuroprotective effect of allantoin in cisplatin‐induced toxicity in rats. Methods: Adult male Wistar rats weighing 160‐200 g were used. neuropathy was induced by injecting cisplatin (2 mg/kg, ip, twice a week for 6 weeks) and the rats were concurrently treated with allantoin (200 and 400 mg/kg, po) for 8 weeks. At the end of the study, body weight and hemogram were measured. Behavioural tests were performed, including tests for cold and hot hyperalgesia, motor co‐ordination, locomotor activity, mechano‐tactile allodynia and mechanical hyperalgesia. The rats were then sacrificed and sciatic nerve conduction velocity was determined. The antioxidant enzyme and nitric oxide levels in sciatic nerve homogenates were measured. results: In this study, allantoin restored the motor nerve conduction velocity deficits induced by cisplatin, and the allantoin‐treated rats showed improvement in cold and thermal hyperalgesia, mechano‐tactile allodynia, and mechanical hyperalgesia. Allantoin treatment also improved the rats’ hematological status, increasing haemoglobin, platelet and rBC counts compared to the cisplatin‐treated group. Allantoin treatment also mitigated the functional abnormalities seen in the cisplatin neuropathy group, protecting neurons from the neurotoxic effects of cisplatin. Conclusion: Allantoin shows promise for use as an adjuvant drug in cancer treatment to protect against cisplatin‐induced neuropathy.

Metastatic colorectal cancer to the liver is associated with a uniform poor prognosis without treatment. Advances in therapy over the past decades have now allowed surgical resections of the liver to occur with a low morbidity and mortality. Improvements in chemotherapy regimes have paralleled technical improvements and now allow a new group of patients to become eligible for surgical resection. This chapter will review the recent advances in surgical and chemotherapeutic regimes in metastatic colorectal cancer to the liver.
