We demon.trate an.ultrafast fiber laser based on.tran.ition.metal dichalcogen.de materials which are tun.sten.disulfide (WS2) an. molybden.m disulfide (MoS2) as saturable absorber (SA). These materials are fabricated via a simple drop-castin. method. By employin. WS2, we obtain.a stable harmon.c mode-lockin. at the threshold pump power of 184 mW, an. the gen.rated soliton.pulse has 3.48 MHz of repetition.rate. At the maximum pump power of 250 mW, we also obtain.a small value of pulse duration. 2.43 ps with sign.l-to-n.ise ratio (Sn.) of 57 dB. For MoS2 SA, the pulse is gen.rated at 105 mW pump power with repetition.rate of 1.16 MHz. However, the pulse duration.can.ot be detected by the autocorrelator device as the pulse duration.recorded is 468 n., with the Sn. value of 35 dB.

The Hill cipher algorithm is on. of the symmetric key algorithms that have several advan.ages in.data en.ryption. However, a main.drawback of this algorithm is that it en.rypts iden.ical plain.ext blocks to iden.ical ciphertext blocks an. can.ot en.rypt images that con.ain.large areas of a sin.le color. Thus, it does n.t hide all features of the image which reveals pattern. in.the plain.ext. Moreover, it can.be easily broken.with a kn.wn.plain.ext attack revealin. weak security. This paper presen.s a varian. of the Hill cipher that overcomes these disadvan.ages. The proposed techn.que adjusts the en.ryption.key to form a dif- feren. key for each block en.ryption. In.this study, the activity con.en.ration. of ^(226)Ra,^(232)Th,^(222)Rn. an. ^(40)K, eman.tion.fraction.(P),equilibrium equivalen. con.en.ration.EEC), an. mass exhalation.rates(E_m) of radon.released from buildin. materials used in.Malaysia were studied usin. gamma-ray spectrometer with HPGe detector. Radiological parameters[activity con.en.ration.in.ex(ACI), in.oor air-absorbed dose rate(D_(in.), an.ual effective dose(AED_(in.) from extern.l an. in.ern.l(E_(Rn.), soft tissues(H_(ST)) an. lun.(H_L), an. effective dose equivalen.(H_(eff))] were estimated to evaluate radiological hazards due to the use of these buildin. materials: san., cemen., gravel, bricks, tiles, fly ash, white cemen., an. ceramic raw materials. The measured P, EEC,an. E_m vary from 10 to 30%, 0.9 to 22 Bq m^(-3), an. 33 to 674 mBq h^(-1) kg^(-1), respectively, while the calculated ACI an. AED_(in. vary from 0.1 ± 0.01 to 2.1 ± 0.1 an. 0.1 ± 0.01 to 2.4 ± 0.6 mSv y^(-1), respectively. On.the other han., the in.ern.l an.ual effective dose ran.es from 0.1 to 1.4 mSv y^(-1). The estimated radiological risk parameters were below the recommen.ed maximum values, an. radiological hazards associated with buildin. materials un.er in.estigation.are therefore n.gligible.

Super-resolution.techn.ques are used to recon.truct an.image with a high resolution.from on. or more low-resolution.image(s).In.this paper,we proposed a sin.le image super-resolution.*** uses the n.n.ocal mean.filter as a prior step to produce a den.ised *** proposed algorithm is based on.curvelet *** con.erts the den.ised image in.o low an. high frequen.ies(sub-ban.s).Then.we applied a multi-dimen.ion.l in.erpolation.called Lan.ozos in.erpolation.over both *** parallel,we applied sparse represen.ation.with over complete diction.ry for the den.ised *** proposed algorithm then.combin.s the diction.ry learn.n. in.the sparse represen.ation.an. the in.erpolated sub-ban.s usin. in.erse curvelet tran.form to have an.image with a higher *** experimen.al results of the proposed super-resolution.algorithm show superior performan.e an. obviously better-recoverin. images with en.an.ed *** comparison.study shows that the proposed super-resolution.algorithm outperforms the *** mean.absolute error is 0.021±0.008 an. the structural similarity in.ex measure is 0.89±0.08.
