Introduction: Retroplacental haematoma (RPH) is a very serious complication of preg.ancy, with life-threatening.consequences for both the mother and foetus. The aim of this study is to determine the incidence and epidemiolog.cal characteristics of patients with retroplacental haematoma (RPH) and describe the maternal-foetal complications at Bouaké University Hospital. Methods: This was a cross-sectional prospective, descriptive and analytical study carried out at Bouaké University Hospital over a period of 3 years, from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2021. All parturients with RPH whose delivery took place at the hospital were included in the study. Data were entered and analysed using.EPI INFO software version 7.***.2.6. Results: We recorded 2,0959 deliveries, including.202 cases of RPH, representing.an incidence of 0.96%. The 21 to 35 ag. g.oup accounted for 64.4%, multig.stas and larg. multig.stas accounted for 58.5% and multiparas accounted for 41.6%. The main sig.s on clinical examination were metrorrhag.a (100%), arterial hypertension (84.6%) and cervical cerclag. (79.7%). Preeclampsia accounted for 50% of per-g.stational patholog.es. Maternal mortality was 12.9%. Morbidity was dominated by anaemia in 64.1%, followed by disseminated intravascular coag.lation (DIC) in 21.8%, and the factors associated with this maternal prog.osis were multiple g.stations, multiparity, Sher g.ade IIIb and the occurrence of complications such as DIC, shock, renal complications and HELLP syndrome. Neonatal mortality was 79.2%, and the factors associated with these fetal prog.oses were cup size ≥ 5 cm and hematoma weig.t ≥ 500 g. Conclusion: Better screening.of at-risk populations, early diag.osis and treatment in an org.nised and equipped medical and surg.cal facility would improve prog.osis.

A defensive k-alliance in a g.aph is a set S of vertices with the property that every vertex in S has at least k more neig.bors in S than it has outside of S. A defensive k-alliance S is called g.obal if it forms a dominating.Set. In this paper we study the problem of partitioning.the vertex set of a g.aph into （g.obal） defensive k-alliances. The （g.obal） defensive k-alliance partition number of a g.aph Г = （V, E）, ψkg.（F）） ψkd（F）, is defined to be the maximum number of sets in a partition of V such that each set is a （g.obal） defensive k-alliance. We obtain tig.t bounds on ψkd（F） and ψkg.（F） in terms of several parameters of the g.aph including.the order, size, maximum and minimum deg.ee, the alg.braic connectivity and the isoperimetric number. Moreover, we study the close relationships that exist among.partitions of F1 × F2 into （g.obal） defensive （kl ＋ k2）-alliances and partitions of Fi into （g.obal） defensive ki-alliances, i ∈ {1, 2}.

Air pollution has become a critical issue in urban areas,so a broad understanding.of its spatiotemporal characteristics is important to develop public *** study analyzes the spatiotemporal variation of atmospheric particulate matter(PM_(10) and PM_(2.5))and ozone(O_(3))in Barranquilla,Colombia from March 2018 to June 2019 in three monitoring.*** averag. concentrations observed for the Móvil,Policía,and Tres Avemarías stations,respectively,for PM_(10):46.4,51.4,and 39.7μg.m^(3);for PM_(2.5):16.1,18.1,and 15.1μg.m^(3) and for O_(3):35.0,26.6,and 33.6μg.m^(3).The results indicated spatial and temporal variations between the stations and the pollutants *** hig.est PM concentrations were observed in the southern part of the city,while for ozone,hig.er concentrations were observed in the *** variations are mainly associated with the influence of local sources in the environment of each site evaluated as well as the meteorolog.cal conditions and transport patterns of the study *** study also verified the existence of differences in the concentrations of the studied pollutants between the dry and rainy seasons and the contribution of local sources as biomass burning. from the Isla Salamanca Natural Park and long.rang. transport of dust particles from the Sahara *** study provides a scientific baseline for understanding.air quality in the city,which enables policy makers to adopt efficient measures that jointly prevent and control pollution.

Particulate matter(PM_(2.5))samples were collected in the vicinity of an industrial chemical pole and analysed for org.nic and elemental carbon(OC and EC),47 trace elements and around 150 org.nic *** averag.,OC and EC accounted for 25.2% and 11.4% of the PM_(2.5) mass,*** compounds comprised polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs),alkylated PAHs,anhydrosug.rs,phenolics,aromatic ketones,g.ycerol derivatives,aliphatic alcohols,sterols,and carboxyl g.oups,including.aromatic,carboxylic and dicarboxylic *** factors>100 were obtained for Pb,Cd,Zn,Cu,Sn,B,Se,Bi,Sb and Mo,showing.the contribution of industrial emissions and nearby major *** component analysis revealed that vehicle,industrial and biomass burning.emissions accounted for 66%,11% and 9%,respectively,of the total PM_(2.5)-bound *** of the detected org.nic constituents are likely associated with plasticiser ing.edients and thermal stabilisers used in the manufacture of PVC and other plastics in the industrial *** products of both anthropog.nic(e.g.,toluene)and biog.nic(e.g.,isoprene and pinenes)precursors were also *** was estimated that biomass burning.accounted for 13.8%of the PM_(2.5) concentrations and that secondary OC represented 37.6% of the total *** lifetime cancer risk from inhalation exposure to PM_(2.5)-bound PAHs was found to be neg.ig.ble,but it exceeded the threshold of 10−6 for metal(loi)s,mainly due to Cr and As.

Black carbon(BC)is one of the short-lived air pollutants that contributes sig.ificantly to aerosol radiative forcing.and g.obal climate *** is emitted by the incomplete combustion of fossil fuels,biofuels,and *** environments are quite complex and thus,the use of mobile jointly with fixed monitoring.provides a better understanding.of the dynamics of BC distribution in such *** present study addresses the measurement of BC concentration using.real-time mobile and ambient monitoring.in Barranquilla,an industrialized urban area of the Colombian Caribbean.A microaethalometer(MA200)and an aethalometer(AE33)were used for measuring.the BC *** absorption Ång.tröm exponent(AAE)values were determined for the study area,for identifying.the BC emission *** results of the ambient sampling.show that vehicle traffic emissions prevail;however,the influence of biomass burning.was also *** mean ambient BC concentration was found to be 1.04±1.03μg.m^(3) and varied between 0.5 and 4.0μg.m^(3).From the mobile measurements obtained in real traffic conditions on the road,a much hig.er averag. value of 16.1±16.5μg.m^(3) was *** parts of the city showed BC concentrations hig.er than 20μg.m^(3).The spatial distribution of BC concentration shows that vehicle emissions and traffic jams,a consequence of road and transport infrastructure,are the factors that most affect the BC concentration.A comparison of results obtained from two aethalometers indicates that the concentrations measured by MA200 are 9%lower than those measured by *** AAE obtained was found to vary between 1.1 and 1.6,indicating.vehicular emissions as the most crucial *** addition,it was observed that the BC concentration on working.days was 2.5 times hig.er than on the weekends in the case of mobile monitoring.and 1.5 times hig.er in the case of ambient monitoring.

Deterioration of air quality due to the increase in atmospheric emissions from biomass burning.BB)is one of the major environmental problems *** this study,we estimated the contributions of BB to PM_(2.5) concentrations in the municipalities of Soledad and Malambo located in the Colombian *** evaluation period rang.d from February 24 to March 30,2018,a period with a hig. number of BB events recorded in the surrounding. of the evaluated *** contribution of BB to the two sampling.sites was estimated using.the Hybrid Sing.e-Particle Lag.ang.an Integ.ated Trajectory(HYSPLIT)dispersion model with forwarding.trajectories from each of the burning.points identified by satellite imag.s(n=1089).The PM_(2.5) emissions were determined using.the fire radiative power(FRP),obtained by remote-sensing.data,and corresponded to the radiant energ. released per time unit by burning.*** averag. PM_(2.5) concentrations during.the evaluation period were 19.91μg.m^(3) for Soledad and 22.44μg.m^(3) for *** averag. contribution of BB to these municipalities was 22.8%and 28.8%,*** methodolog. used in this study allowed to estimate the contribution of this important source without knowledg. of a previous tracer of BB,thereby increasing.the use of the proposed procedure *** information would enable the implementation of effective mitig.tion,thereby diminishing.the adverse impact of PM_(2.5) on the health of the population.
