Turner-Kieser syndrome is a rare genetic disorder, autosomal dominant, which is related to variable gene expression and high penetrance, due to mutations in the LMX1B gene that affects connective tissue. The clinic has characteristics with alterations in nails, knees, elbows, and presence of iliac horns that makes the anesthetic difficult. However, data in the literature needs more research on this area. The present report is a cesarean section under general intravenous anesthesia performed on a 32-week pregnant woman due to the maternal risk of full-term evolution and aims to contribute to the anesthetic management of patients with this syndrome as there are few descriptions in the literature regarding the anesthetic management in Turner-Kieser syndrome. Even being a case report, the syndrome is rare and it is important to be reported to all anesthesiologists becoming aware of its management and to choose the best technique and anticipate possible complications. During general anesthesia, the technique chosen for the case reported here, we emphasize the risks of possible difficulty in intubating and positioning the patient, as well as renal impairment caused by changes in the cardiovascular autonomic response due to the choice of some drugs. Therefore, in the present report, our option was intravenous general anesthesia because of maternal complications, where fast acting drugs without renal metabolism or excretion were selected, resulting in an uneventful anesthetic procedure.

Incubation assay in trays was performed with two soils with different application histories of glyphosate: no application, and previous application. The soils used were Typic Argiudolls of Pergamino, province of Buenos Aires, and the treatments were: control (no application), and 20, 200 and 2000 mg of active ingredient per kg of soil. Sampling was performed at the beginning (T0) and 45 days after (T45). Catabolic response profiles (CRP), catabolic richness and catabolic uniformity were determined according to the methodology based on measuring the differences in respiration induced by substrate in a short time (4 hours). The substrates used in this study were 20, namely, two amines, 5 aminoacids, two carbohydrates, and 11 carboxylic acids. The objective of this work was to compare soils with different histories of application of glyphosate, measuring its effect on catabolic response profiles, catabolic uniformity and catabolic richness. In this study, no differences were observed between catabolic richness among the different sampling times and doses of glyphosate applied. Glyphosate application affected the structure of the soil microbial communities. At the end of the test, soils with all doses of previous herbicide application showed greater catabolic uniformity than soils without previous application.

The advanced infrared(IR) and microwave(MW) sounding systems have been providing atmospheric sounding information critical for nowcasting and improving weather forecasts through data assimilation in numerical weather prediction. In recent years, advanced IR and MW sounder systems are being proposed to be onboard CubeSats that are much more cost efficient than traditional satellite systems. An impact study using a regional Observing System Simulation Experiment on a local severe storm(LSS) was carried out to evaluate the alternative of using advanced MW and IR sounders for high-impact weather forecasting in mitigating the potential data gap of the Advanced Technology Microwave Sounder(ATMS) and the Cross-track Infrared Sounder(CrIS) on the Suomi-NPP(SNPP) or Joint Polar Satellite System(JPSS). It was found that either MicroMAS-2 or the CubeSat Infrared Atmospheric Sounder(CIRAS) on a single CubeSat was able to provide a positive impact on the LSS forecast, and more CubeSats with increased data coverage yielded larger positive ***-2 has the potential to mitigate the loss of ATMS, and CIRAS the loss of CrIS, on SNPP or JPSS, especially when multiple CubeSats are launched. There are several approximations and limitations to the present study, but these represent efficiencies appropriate to the principal goal of the study — gauging the relative values of these sensors.

AIM:To determine the outcome of the management of iatrogenic gastrointestinal tract perforations treated by over-the-scope clip(OTSC)***:We retrospectively enrolled 20 patients(13 female and 7 male;mean age:70.6±9.8 years)in eight high-volume tertiary referral centers with upper or lower iatrogenic gastrointestinal tract perforation treated by OTSC *** tract perforation could be with oval-shape or with *** perforations were closed by OTSC only by suction and the round-shape by the"twin-grasper"plus ***:Main perforation diameter was 10.1±4.3 mm(range 3-18 mm).The technical success rate was 100%(20/20 patients)and the clinical success rate was 90%(18/20 patients).Two patients(10%)who did not have complete sealing of the defect underwent *** upon our observations we propose two types of perforation:Round-shape"type-1 perforation"and oval-shape"type-2 perforation".Eight(40%)out of the 20 patients had a type-1 perforation and 12 patients a type-2(60%).CONCLUSION:OTSC placement should be attempted after perforation occurring during diagnostic or therapeutic endoscopy.A failed closure attempt does not impair subsequent surgical treatment.

Autoimmune pancreatitis(AIP) is a recently discovered form of pancreatitis and represents one of the diseases of the pancreas which can be cured and healed medically. International consensus diagnostic criteria have been developed, and the clinical phenotypes associated with the histopathologic patterns of lymphoplasmacytic sclerosing pancreatitis and idiopathic duct-centric pancreatitis should be referred to as type 1 and type 2AIP, respectively. Most importantly, in type 1 AIP, the pancreatic manifestations are associated with other extrapancreatic disorders, resembling an immunoglobulin G4(IgG4)-related disease. In addition, the pancreas o a patient with AIP is often infiltrated by various types of immune cells; the cluster of differentiation(CD) 4or CD8 T lymphocytes and IgG4-bearing plasma cells have been found in the pancreatic parenchyma and other involved organs in AIP and factors regulating T-cell function may influence the development of AIP From a genetic point of view, it has also been reported that DRB1*0405 and DQB1*0401 mutations are significantly more frequent in patients with AIP when compared to those with chronic calcifying pancreatitis, and that only DQB1*0302 had a significant association with the relapse of AIP. Finally, it has been found that thepolymorphic genes encoding cytotoxic T lymphocyteassociated antigen 4, a key negative regulator of the T-cell immune response, are associated with AIP in a Chinese population. Even if these data are not concordant, it is possible that physiological IgG4 responses are induced by prolonged antigen exposure and controlled by type 2 helper T cells. We reviewed the current concepts regarding the pathophysiology of this intriguing disease, focusing on the importance of the humoral and cellular immune responses.
