The Effect of Ultra Low Concentrations of Some Biologically Activ. Substances on the Aerobic Respiration

For today it is known, that primary and secondary disorders of the aerobic respiration, which are based on mitochondrial deficiency, lead to a wide spectrum of clinical manifestations and diseases. Therefore, the question about effectiv. correction of v.rious types of energy exchange disorders remains topical. Thus, the aim of our work was the study effect of the complex of biologically activ. substances (BAS) in ultra low concentrations on the activ.ty of key enzymes of aerobic energy metabolism succinate dehydrogenase (EC 1.***.99.1) (SQR) and mitochondrial glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (EC 1.***.99.5) (GPD2). The human lymphocytes assays were tested in v.tro (22 donors). In negativ. control lymphocytes, cell culture normal saline solution was added. Normal saline solution with NaN3 was added in positiv. control lymphocytes cell culture. Experimental cell culture contained NaN3 and BAS. Our inv.stigations had been rev.aled increase SQR activ.ty in the experimental cell culture as compared with positiv. control culture throughout the time of experiment (measurements were carried out at 4, 24, 48, 72 h of incubation). The SQR activ.ty of experimental cell culture and negativ. control lymphocytes cell culture was equal up to 24 h of experiment. It showed neutralization of NaN3 inhibitory effect (during 24 h) due to BAS influence. Activ.ty of base glycerophosphate shunt ferment GPD2 of experimental lymphocyte cell culture was not different from GPD2 index in the negativ. control, but was lower than GPD2 activ.ty in the positiv. control. It also indicated neutralization NaN3 inhibitory effect due to BAS influence. So we had found that extremely low concentrations of selected BAS with their complex impact on human lymphocytes in v.tro could effectiv.ly neutralize the inhibitory effect of NaN3 on processes of aerobic energy metabolism link.

The Darwin instability effect in the binary systems(di-planets, di-stars, and di-galaxies) is analyzed within the model based on the Regge-like laws. All possible binary stars are found satisfying the Darwin instability condition that requires to search for other mechanism triggering the merger of the contact binary objects. New analytical formulas are obtained for the orbital rotation period and the relativ. distance between components of the binary system. The decreasing and increasing periods as functions of mass asymmetry are related, respectiv.ly, with the non-ov.rlapping and ov.rlapping stage of the binary object ev.lution.

Quasiparticle structure of superheav. nuclei in α-decay chains of -(285)Fl and -(291,293)Lv

Two mean-field potentials, Woods-Saxon and Skyrme based potentials, are used to calculate the energies of low-lying one-quasiparticle states. The spectra of the low-lying states and the α-decay spectra of nuclei belonging to the α-decay chains of ^285Fl and ^291,293Lv.are calculated and compared with the av.ilable experimental data. Dependence of the splitting of the pseudospin doublets and of the energies of the unique parity neutron one-quasiparticle states on the mean field potential are discussed. As shown, the α-decay spectra could be different in the α-decay chain and at the direct production of the nucleus in a fusion reaction.

To solv. the problem of energy efficiency of modern enterprise it is necessary to reduce energy *** of the possible ways is proposed in this research.A multi-lev.l hierarchical system for energy efficiency management of the enterprise is designed,it is based on the modular principle prov.ding rapid *** nov.lty of the work is the dev.lopment of new and improv.ment of the existing methods and models,in particular:1)models for dynamic analysis of IT tools for data acquisition and processing(DAAP)in multilev.l energy management systems,which are based on Petri nets;2)method of synthesis of DAAP tools in energy efficiency management information systems(EEMIS)of the enterprise which prov.des a reduction in hardware and time costs from 10%to 40%;3)method of conflict-free data exchange determining the minimum memory speed for the synthesis of realtime exchanges,it reduces the cost and energy consumption;4)method of calculating the signal of postsynaptic excitation of neural elements decreases the processing time of technological data two or more *** proposed methods,models and tools hav. been tested while implementing the EEMIS of the intelligent mini-greenhouse,as a result,energy efficiency has increased by 12%-25%(depending on season and peculiarities of growing plants).

Functional Activ.ty of Circulating Phagocytes as Potential Pretreatment Marker of Tumor Drug Resistance

The aim of this work was a study of the functional activ.ty of neutrophils and peripheral blood monocytes in rats with the transplanted Walker carcinosarcoma as potential predictors of the sensitiv.ty of this tumor to doxorubicin treatment. This study prov.des an ev.dence that such indices of the functional activ.ty of circulating phagocytes of the tumor-bearing rats as the quantity and the phagocytosis intensity of monocytes, as well as the intensity of ROS production by monocytes and neutrophils, may reflect the degree of sensitiv.ty of the tumor to doxorubicin. So it was shown that the growth of the resistant tumor caused a significant increase of the number of circulating phagocytic cells and the intensity of phagocytosis by more than 100% (p v.riant of the tumor. The ability of blood mono-cytes and neutrophils of rats with a resistant tumor to produce ROS was also significantly different from that in intact rats and animals with the parental carcinosarcoma v.riant. The predictiv. v.lue of these indices is especially important in the dynamic monitoring of the dev.lopment of tumor drug resistance during long-term cancer chemotherapy. Considering the standard 2 - 3 week interv.l between the courses of cancer therapy and the short lifetime of circulating phagocytes, an assessment of the indices of their functional activ.ty before each subsequent course can be considered as a pretreatment assessment. Meanwhile, further studies are needed to determine the spectrum of malignant neoplasms for which the degree of tumor drug resistance correlates with the functional activ.ty of circulating phagocytes.

Spin-Dependent Transport in Carbon Nanotubes with Chromium Atoms

Method is dev.loped for self-consistent calculation of the energy spectrum of free energy and electrical disordered crystals. Processes of electron scattering on the ionic core potential of different sort, fluctuations of charge, spin density and lattice v.brations are taken into account. Electronic states of the system are described using tight binding multiband model. The nature of the spin-dependent electron transport of carbon nanotubes with chromium atoms adsorbed on the surface is explained. The v.lue of the spin polarization of electron transport is determined by the difference of the partial densities of states of electrons with opposite spin projection at the Fermi lev.l and the difference between the relaxation times of electron states. The v.lue of the spin polarization of the electric current increases with increasing of Cr atoms concentration and magnitude of the external magnetic field.
