Clastogenic ROS and biophotonics in precancerous diagnosis

BACKGROUND： Cancer is the leading cause of death worldwide. The application of biophotonics for diagnosing precancerous lesions is a major breakthrough in oncology and is associated with the expression of clastogenic bio-markers, such as reactive oxygen species （ROS）, namely, superoxide anion radicals, hydrogen peroxide, hydroxyl radicals, and lipid peroxidation products. These ROS are the major sources of ultra-weak biophotons emission; in addition, biophotons are emitted from other biomolecules, which are not associated with ROS. The precancerous phase is diagnosed on the basis ofbiophoton emission from biomarkers. The type of biophotons emitted depends on the structure of the clastogenic ROS. METHODS： ROS-based emission of ultra-weak photons can be detected using charge coupled device （CCD） cameras and photomultiplier tubes. Furthermore, spectroscopic and microscopic analysis can yield more advanced and definite results. RESULTS： The frequency and intensity of biophoton emission associated with each ROS provides information regarding the precancerous phase. Previous have attempted to show an association between precancerous growth and biophoton emission; however, their results were not conclusive. In this review, we have addressed multiple aspects of the molecular environment, especially light- matter interactions, to derive a successful theoretical relationship which may have the ability to diaganose the tumor at precancerous stage and to give the solutions of previous failures. This can be a major quantum leap toward precancerous diagnosis therapy. CONCLUSION： Biophotonics provides an advanced framework, for easily diagnosing cancer at its preliminary stage. The relationship between biophotons, clastogenic factors, and biochemical reactions in the cellular microenvironment can be understood successfully. Effect of dark energy models on the energy content of charged and rotating black holes

The energy content of the charged-Kerr(CK)spacetime surrounded by dark energy(DE)is investigated using approximate Lie symmetry methods for the differential *** this,we consider three different DE scenarios:cosmological constant with an equation of state parameter$ω_(q)=-2/3,quintessence DE with an equation of state parameterω_(c)=-1,and a frustrated network of cosmic strings with an equation of state parameterω_(n)=-1/*** study the gravitational energy of the CK black hole surrounded by the DE,we explore the symmetries of the 2nd-order perturbed geodesic *** is noticed,for all the values ofω,the exact symmetries are recovered as 2nd-order approximate trivial *** trivial approximate symmetries give the rescaling of arc length parameter s in this spacetime which indicates that the energy in the underlying spacetime has to be rescaled by a factor that depends on the black hole parameters and the DE *** rescaling factor is compared with the factor of the CK spacetime found in[Hussain et ***.(2009)]and the effects of the DE on it are *** is observed that for all the three values of the equation of state parameterω,the effect of DE results in decreased energy content of the black hole spacetime,regardless of values of the charge Q,spin a and the DE parameterα.This reduction in the energy content due to the involvement of the DE favours the idea of mass reduction of black holes by accretion of DE given by[Babichev et ***.(2004)].

Design and optimization of CSP power plants for Pakistan:a comparative study

Despite having very high solar irradiance,Pakistan still does not have any installed concentrated solar power(CSP)*** studies have shown that multiple locations within the country are suitable for CSP plants,but there is limited availability of comprehensive comparative ***,this article presents a comparative analysis of different CSP technologies in Pakistan,focusing on their potential to address the country’s energy *** study evaluates the pros and cons of different CSP technologies at various locations through site assessment,modelling,optimization and economic analysis using the System Advisor *** and Nawabshah were selected as the locations for modelling multiple scenarios of 100-MW plants,using central receiver systems,parabolic trough collectors and linear Fresnel *** plants were integrated with thermal energy storage and the storage capacity was optimized using parametric *** results showed that a central receiver system for the location of Quetta was the most favourable option,with an annual energy yield of 622 GWh at 7.44 cents/kWh,followed by a central receiver system for Nawabshah(608 GWh,9.03 cents/kWh).This study is the first to show that switching between line-concentrated and point-concentrated CSP technologies can open new opportunities for sites in Pakistan with relatively high solar resources,resulting in a 21.3%reduction in the levelized cost.

In liaqat and Hussain(2022)it was proved that the effect of dark energy with w_(n)=1/3 causes a reduction in the energy content of the quintessential charged-Kerr *** result needs correction as it is observed that the contribution of dark energy first decreases the total energy of the underlying spacetime for smaller values of radial coordinate r and then increases the energy for comparatively larger values of r.

A review of recent advancements in finite element formulation for sandwich plates

Use of composite structures is exponentially growing in different fields due to their higher strength-to-weight ratio. This application trend requires that accurate theoretical explanations and their finite element models be developed for analyzing sandwich plates before finalizing the designs. This paper reviews the recent research trends of finite element formulations developed for analyzing sandwich plates. This paper reviews the finite element models developed after the year 2000. Initially, the finite element formulations based on first order shear deformation theory, higher order shear deformation theories, mixed solid-shell elements, zig-zag theories and global–local theories are presented. Then, some finite element formulations developed to analyze a very new class of structures called piezoelectric structures are presented. At the end, some formulations to analyze a very critical phenomenon called buckling are presented.

Natural Propulsion with Lorentz Force and Nanoparticles in a Bioinspired Lopsided Ciliated Channel

The transportation of biological and industrial nanofluids by natural propulsion like cilia movement and self-generated contraction-relaxation of flexible walls has tremendous applications in various fields. Inspired by multidisciplinary invention in this direction, a fuid mechanical model is proposed to study the Magneto-hydrodynamics （MHD） and heat transfer for nanofluids fabricated by the dispersion of nanoparticles in water as base fluid. The steady flow is induced by metachronal wave propulsion due to beating cilia. The flow regime is asymmetric channel. The flow is restricted under the low Reynolds number and long wavelength approximations. Cilia boundary conditions for velocity components are employed to find the exact solutions. The impacts of pertinent physical parameters on temperature profile, velocity profile, pressure, and stream lines are computed numerically. It is observed that velocity is inversely proportional to magnetic Reynolds number, Reynolds number, Strommer＇s number and velocity is directly proportional to flow rate. It is analyzed that temperature is inversely proportional to Strommer＇s number and magnetic Reynolds number and directly proportional to Brinkmann number and flow rate. The temperature is maximum at the center of the channel and it starts decreasing towards the boundary walls.

Arabic Bank Check Processing: State of the Art

In this paper, we present a general model for Arabic bank check processing indicating the major phases of a check processing system. We then survey the available databases for Arabic bank check processing research. The state of the art in the different phases of Arabic bank check processing is surveyed （i.e., pre-processing, check analysis and segmentation, features extraction, and legal and courtesy amounts recognition）. The open issues for future research are stated and areas that need improvements are presented. To the best of our knowledge, it is the first survey of Arabic bank check processing.

该研究旨在评估条锈菌(Puccinia striiformis)对小麦生产的损失。利用三个小麦品种铭贤169、小偃6号和西科麦18号进行小麦条锈病造成的产量损失测定,三个小麦品种随机区组播种,实验设两个处理,一个处理喷药控制小麦条锈病,另一个不喷药,每个处理播种3个重复,对两个处理进行产量比较。研究表明,不同品种的小麦具有不同的抗性水平,品种西科麦18对条锈病表现高抗(IT 0),叶片上没有任何坏死条斑,西科麦18的产量损失最低,为6.45%;其次是小偃6号,对条锈病表现中抗(IT 5),叶片有短的坏死条纹,产量损失为15.11%;铭贤169是最易感病的小麦品种(IT 9),最高产量损失却达到了18.08%。通过对抗病性的和产量损失评估表明,处理间,产量与受条锈病影响的病害严重程度显著负相关。西科麦18和小偃6对小麦条锈病造成的产量损失较感病品种铭贤169低。因此,建议生产上推广和种植抗病类似西科麦18的品种以减少因条锈病导致的产量损失。

Evaluation of the adsorption potential of titanium dioxide nanoparticles for arsenic removal

The adsorption potential of titanium dioxide （TiO2） nanoparticles for removing arsenic from drinking water was evaluated. Pure and iron-doped TiO2 particles are synthesized via sol-gel method. The synthesized TiO2 nanoparticles were then immobilized on ordinary sand for adsorption studies. Adsorption isotherms were conducted on the synthesized nanoparticles as well as the sand coated with TiO2 nanoparticles under varying conditions of air and light, namely, the air-sunlight （A-SL）, air-light （AL）, air-dark （AD） and nitrogen-dark （ND）. X-ray diffraction （XRD） analysis showed that the pure and iron-doped TiO2 nanoparticles were in 100% anatase crystalline phase with crystai sizes of 108 and 65 nm, respectively. Adsorption of arsenic on the three adsorbents was non-linear that could be described by the Freundlich and Langmuir adsorption models. Iron doping enhanced the adsorption capacity of TiO2 nanoparticles by arresting the grain growth and making it visible light responsive resulting in a higher affinity for arsenic. Similarly, the arsenic removal by adsorption on the sand coated with TiO2 nanoparticles was the highest among the three types of sand used. In all cases, As（V） was adsorbed more compared with As（Ⅲ）. The solution pH appeared to be the most important factor in controlling the amount of arsenic adsorbed.
