A Knowledge Graph-Based Deep Learning Framework for Efficient Content Similarity Search of Sustainable Development Goals Data

Sustainable development denotes the enhancement ofliving standards in the present without compromising future generations'*** Development Goals(SDGs)quantify the accomplishment of sustainable development and pave the way for a world worth living in for future *** can contribute to the achievement of the SDGs by guiding the actions of practitioners based on the analysis of SDG data,as intended by this *** propose a framework of algorithms based on dimensionality reduction methods with the use of Hilbert Space Filling Curves(HSFCs)in order to semantically cluster new uncategorised SDG data and novel indicators,and efficiently place them in the environment of a distributed knowledge graph ***,a framework of algorithms for insertion of new indicators and projection on the HSFC curve based on their transformer-based similarity assessment,for retrieval of indicators and loadbalancing along with an approach for data classification of entrant-indicators is ***,a thorough case study in a distributed knowledge graph environment experimentally evaluates our *** results are presented and discussed in light of theory along with the actual impact that can have for practitioners analysing SDG data,including intergovernmental organizations,government agencies and social welfare *** approach empowers SDG knowledge graphs for causal analysis,inference,and manifold interpretations of the societal implications of SDG-related actions,as data are accessed in reduced retrieval *** facilitates quicker measurement of influence of users and communities on specific goals and serves for faster distributed knowledge matching,as semantic cohesion of data is preserved.

Derailment risk and dynamics of railway vehicles in curved tracks： Analysis of the effect of failed fasteners

The effect of the fastener＇s failure in a railway track on the dynamic forces produced in the wheel-rail contact is studied using the simulation software VAMPIRE to assess the derailment risk of two different vehicles in two curves with distinct characteristics. First, a 3D-FEM model of a real track is constructed, paying special attention to fasteners, and calibrated with displacement data obtained experimentally during a train passage. This numerical model is subsequently used to determine the track vertical and lateral stiffness. This study evidences that although the track can practically lose its lateral stiffness as a consequence of the failure of 7 consecutive fasteners, the vehicle stability would not be necessarily compromised in the flawed zone. Moreover, the results reveal that the uncompensated acceleration and the distance along which the fasteners are failed play an important role in the dynamic behavior of the vehicle-track system, influencing strongly the risk of derailment.

Development of a vehicle-track interaction model to predict the vibratory benefits of rail grinding in the time domain

Imperfections in the wheel-rail contact are one of the main sources of generation of railway vibrations. Consequently, it is essential to take expensive corrective maintenance measures, the results of which may be unknown. In order to assess the effectiveness of these measures, this paper develops a vehicle-track interaction model in the time domain of a curved track with presence of rail corrugation on the inner rail. To characterize the behavior of the track, a numerical finite element model is developed using ANSYS software, while the behavior of the vehicle is characterized by a unidirectional model of two masses developed with VAMPIRE PRO software. The overloads obtained with the dynamic model are applied to the numerical model and then, the vibrational response of the track is obtained. Results are validated with real data and used to assess the effectiveness of rail grinding in the reduction of wheel-rail forces and the vibration generation phenomenon.

Efavirenz is an antiretroviral drug(arV)used for the treatment of Human Immunodeficiency Virus(HIV/AIDS)*** effects efavirenz may have on mammals is known,however,little is known about the effects on non-target aquatic organisms,especially on growth and development of *** Oreochromis mossambicus were bred to produce newly fertilised *** eggs were exposed to efavirenz using two concentrations(10.3 ng/L and 20.6 ng/L)over 60 days growth *** growing juveniles were kept in a static renewal system under controlled laboratory conditions(27±1℃;day:night photoperiod of 14:10)to simulate an optimal growth environment similar to *** endpoints included changes in growth,growth rates and morphological development based on exposure to *** morphological analyses were done at(i)1-day post hatching,(ii)approximately two weeks post hatching,(iii)30 days post hatching and(iv)60 days post hatching abnormalities were *** had no noticeable effect on length and weight,or growth parameters of the juveniles at all *** however,influenced the morphological development of the juveniles by causing physical abnormalities(p>0.05).Abnormalities included spinal deformities and alterations to the shape of the jaws.

Data augmentation and machine learning techniques for control strategy development in bio-polymerization process

Machine learning has been increasingly used in ***,in organic chemistry and other experiment-based fields,data collected from real experiments are inadequate and the current coronavirus disease(COVID-19)pandemic has made the situation even *** limited data resources may result in the low performance of modeling and affect the proper development of a control *** paper proposes a feasible machine learning solution to the problem of small sample size in the biopolymerization *** avoid overfitting,the variational auto-encoder and generative adversarial network algorithms are used for data *** random forest and artificial neural network algorithms are implemented in the modeling *** results prove that data augmentation techniques effectively improve the performance of the regression *** machine learning models were compared and the experimental results show that the random forest model with data augmentation by the generative adversarial network technique achieved the best performance in predicting the molecular weight on the training set(with an R^(2) of 0.94)and on the test set(with an R^(2) of 0.74),and the coefficient of determination of this model was 0.74.

Restrictive measures adopted worldwide against COVID19(e.g.,wearing masks,frequent hand washing,and social distancing)produced not only a decrease in SarS-CoV-2 difusion but also a drastic reduction in respiratory diseases caused by other pathogens,as reported by many authors[1,2].The spread of respiratory viruses,particularly respiratory syncytial virus(RSV),has been completely changed during the winter of 2020–2021[3,4],but an unusual resurgence of RSV infection has been recently reported in diferent countries[3-7].
