Eclogite was firstly discovered at the Da Qaidam region (Yang,et al., 1998), and then in the Xitieshan and Dulan regions in 1999, constituting an over 350km long high\|pressure metamorphic belt in the northeastern Qinghai—Tibet plateau. Eclogites occur as pods in the garnet\|muscovite gneiss of the Dakendaban Group (or called Shaliuhe Group in Dulan) of Upper Proterozoic age. In general, the pods of eclogite vary in size; most of them are less than 20m×10m, some large ones up to about 100m×50m. The eclogite\|hosted gneiss is pale\|gray in color, consisting mainly plagioclase and quartz, and minor muscovite (5%～10% in vol.) and garnet (1%～2%). Some of the country rocks of eclogite are mica\|quartz\|(feldspar) schist, quartzite, and ultramafic rocks, the latter also occur in *** 50 pods were found in a belt of 10km×3km in the Da Qaidam region (No.1 location). Only a few pods of eclogite were found in the Xitieshan region in 1999 field expedition (No.2 location). Eclogite in Dulan occurs in the Proterozoic strata of Shaliuhe Group (same as the Dakendaban Group but with a different name). The eclogites in the Dulan region (No.3 location) expose about 10km wide in SN and an unknown length in EW, and can be subdivided into two belts, the North Eclogite Belt of Dulan (NEBD) and the South Eclogite Belt of Dulan (SEBD).

Land subsidence is a severe hazard threatening Tanggu,a flat lowland area,and evidences of land subsidence can be seen throughout the city.A new reasonable GPS network was set up in this area from 2008 to *** monitoring data show that land subsidence was serious and two main subsidence cones were obviously formed In the *** emerged at Hujiayuan,with the maximum rate reaching 60 mm/a,and the influence region enlarged prominently from 2005 to *** other one occurred at Kaifaqu,which became obvious only after 2005,and it showed a decreasing tendency with *** analyze the causes of ground settlement,a correlation between groundwater withdrawal and land subsidence was firstly *** results confirmed that over-exploitation of groundwater was the major cause for the severe settlement In ***,the subsidence of Kaifaqu was also related to groundwater withdrawal before ***,the relationship became unconspicuous after *** find the cause of this abnormity,a three-dimensional finite element numerical model,coupled with groundwater flow and subsidence,was *** simulation results indicate that the subsidence Induced by high-rise buildings is serious,but the affected range is limited and it also shows a decreasing trend with time,corresponding to the subsidence characteristics at ***,more attention should be paid to this hazard induced by engineering construction besides groundwater withdrawal,as more high-rise buildings are under construction in Tanggu.

Preliminary basic research and clinical findings have demonstrated that electroacupuncture ther- apy exhibits positive effects in ameliorating depression. However, most studies of the underlying mechanism are at the single gene level; there are few reports regarding the mechanism at the whole-genome level. Using a rat genomic gene-chip, we profiled hippocampal gene expression changes in rats after electroacupuncture therapy. Electroacupuncture therapy alleviated depres- sion-related manifestations in the model rats. Using gene-chip analysis, we demonstrated that electroacupuncture at Baihui （DU20） and Yintang （EX-HN3） regulates the expression of 21 genes. Real-time PCR showed that the genes Vgf, lgf2, Trnp32, Loc500373, Hifla, Folrl, Nrnb, and Rtn were upregulated or downregulated in depression and that their expression tended to nor- malize after electroacupuncture therapy. These results indicate that electroacupuncture at Baihui and Yintang modulates depression by regulating the expression of particular genes.

中西治学方式的差异主要表现在三方面 :一是在处理“学” (基础理论研究 )与“术” (应用研究 )关系时有所不同。西方的“学”与“术”是两种不同的层次 ,两者分工明确 ,而且紧密结合。而中国则“学”、“术”不分或有“术”无“学”。二是在对待“博”与“专”的关系时有差异。西方学者大多“先专后博” ,即先进入某一个领域 ,进行深入、细致的研究 ,做出成果后再扩大知识面。中国传统的学者多为“先博后专” ,即先打好扎实的基础 ,掌握广博的知识 ,然后再进入某一个专业领域进行研究。三是研究的注重点不同 ,即“点”与“面”的差异。所谓“点” ,即研究的视角集中在社会或文化的某一要素或某一主题 ;所谓“面” ,即研究的视角大多是一个专题或一个领域。西方学术注重“点” ,而中国学术强调“面”。

A high-resolutio n terrestrial mollusk record from the Loess Plateau of china has been studied to characteriz eclimate variability during the Last Glacial Maximum(LGM).The rapid successions in mollusk taxa in the Weinan loess sequence reveal that climate changes occurred at least four times in this *** the loess region,millennia-scale climate fluctuations existed,as documented in the grain size and weathering intensity *** results show such millennia-scal efl uctuations refl ecting changes in both temperature and precipitation,rather than a simple cold and warm *** in temperature and precipitation were not in phase during the LGM. Temperature varied earlier than precipitation,which could have been the effect of winter and summer monsoon *** data also reveal that the East Asian summer monsoons could reach the southeast part of the Loess Plateau during the whole of the *** *** of winter monsoons during the LGM led to short duration of summer monsoons annually impacting on the Loess Plateau,but the intrinsic intensity of summer monsoons would not have changed signi. cantly,thus providing the thermohydrologica 1 conditions for temperate-humidiphilou s mollusks to persistently grow and develop in the glacial age.

Myostatin (GDF8, MSTN) is a member of the transforming growth factor beta su- perfamily that is essential for proper regulation of skeletal muscle mass. In order to study its ex- pression and regulatory mechanism deeply, we have presented a comparative analysis of about 170-kb pig BAC sequence containing the myostatin gene among pig, human and mouse. The genomic region is characterized by high interspersed repeats and low G+C content. As for the myostatin gene, a higher sequence similarity is found between human and pig than between these species and the mouse. One striking feature is that the structure of two TATA-boxes in the nearby downstream of CCAAT-box is identified in the promoter. Further analysis reveals that the TATA-box1 is responsible for the transcription in pig and human, but the TATA-box2 acts on the transcription in mouse. The other interesting feature is that two polyadenylation signal sequences (AATAAA) exist in 3′UTR of the pig myostatin gene. Moreover, a large number of potential tran- scription factor-binding sites are also identified in evolutionary conserved regions (ECRs), which may be associated with the regulation of myostatin. Many putative transcription factors play an important role in the muscle development, and the complex interaction between myostatin and these factors may be required for proper muscle development.

Complex geologic structures generally consist of irregular subregions with piecewise constant *** different boundary-element method(BEM)plus Born-series schemes have been formulated for wave-propagation simulation in such piecewise homogeneous media by incorporating a Born series and boundary integral *** schemes decompose the resulting boundary integral equation matrix into two parts:(1) the self-interaction operator,handled with a fully implicit BEM, and(2)the extrapolation operator,approximated by a Born series. The first scheme associates the self-interaction operator with each boundary itself and interprets the extrapolation operator as cross-interactions between different boundaries in a subregion. The second scheme relates the self-interaction operator to each subregion itself and expresses the extrapolation operator as cross-interactions between different subregions in a whole model. In the second scheme,the matrix dimension of the resulting boundary integral equation is reduced by eliminating the traction *** numerical schemes have been validated by dimen-sionless frequency responses to a semicircular alluvial valley, compared with the full-waveform BEM numerical *** then extended these schemes to a complex fault model by calculating synthetic seismograms to evaluate approximation accuracies. Numerical experiments indicate that the BEM + Born series modeling schemes significantly improve computational efficiency, especially for high frequencies and with multisource seismic *** tests also confirmed that the second modeling scheme has a faster convergence but may cause more noise in higher-order iterations than the first scheme.
