In the Huanghe (Yellow) River basin,soil erosion is a serious problem,while runoff and sediment yield simulation has not been extensively studied on the basis of GIS (geographic Information System) and distributed hydrological model. GIS-based SWAT (Soil and Water Assessment Tool) model was used to simulate runoff and sediment in the Huanghe River basin. The objective of this paper is to examine the applicability of SWAT model in a large river basin with high sediment runoff modulus,which could reach 770t/(km2·a). A two-stage "Brute Force" optimization procedure was used to calibrate the parameters with the observed monthly flow and sediment data from 1992 to 1997,and with input parameters set during the calibration process without any change the model was validated with 1998-1999’s observed data. Coefficient of examination (R2) and Nash-Suttcliffe simulation efficiency (Ens) were used to evaluate model prediction. The evaluation coefficients for simulated flow and sediment,and observed flow and sediment were all above 0.7,which shows that SWAT model could be a useful tool for water resources and soil conservation planning in the Huanghe River basin.

Comparison of the Sesquiterpene Ester Profiles of Different Specialized Armillariella mellea Mycelia Using HPLC-DAD Chromatography

Sesquiterpene profiles in methanolic extracts of crustose aerial hyphae, rhizomorphs and fruit bodies of Armillariella mellea grown on semi-solid wort medium, and of fungal mycelium grown in submerged culture on liquid wort medium, were compared using High Performance Liquid Chromatography-Diode Array Detector (HPLC-DAD). The sesquiterpene ester components of mycelium grown in submerged culture were distinct from the sesquiterpene esters detected in rhizomorphs, crustose aerial hyphae and fruit bodies. The sesquiterpene ester profile of rhizomorphs was similar to that of crustose aerial hyphae, but was considerably different to the profiles of fungal mycelium grown in submerged culture and fruit bodies.

A new 2D (two-dimensional) coordination polymer, [Fe(μ4-bta)o.5(phen)(OH)]n (1), has been hydrothermally synthesized with FeCl3 6H2, Na4bta (h4bta = 1,2,4,5-benzentetracarboxylic acid), 1,10-phen (1,10-phenanthroline) and H2O as raw materials. The crystals of the compound belong to monoclinic P21/n space group, a = 1.0129(2) nm, b = 0.9265(2) nm, c = 1.5696(3) nm, β=91.37(3)°V=1.4721(5) nm3,Z=3, final R1=0.0292, wR 2=0.0798 for 2572 [/>2σ(/)] observed reflections. The result of structure determination shows that in the compound each bta ligand is connected with four Fe3, forming a new μ4-coordination mode. Four deprotonated carboxylic groups of bta link to Fe3 ions alternatively through monodentate and bidentate coordination fashion, constructing 2D layer network. The measurement of variable temperature magnetic susceptibility indicates that there exist antiferromagnetic interactions between Fe3 ions in the compound. The TGA spectrum displays relatively fine thermal stability of the compound. In addition, IR and UV-Vis spectra of compound 1 have also been measured.

This present paper investigates synchronization dynamics of a general model of complex delayed dynamical networks with intermittent *** simple yet generic criteria for global synchronization of such intermittent coupled dynamical networks are derived *** turns out that the coupled delayed dynamical networks can always achieve synchronization even there are connections among the nodes only at some discrete ***,the results are applied to a typical nearest neighboring coupled SF networks consisting of the chaotic delayed Hopfield neural network,and numerical simulations are carried out to verify and also visualize the theoretical results.

A significant amount of austenite can be retained by rapid cooling following intercritical annealing and holding at the bainite transformation range in steel with comparatively low carbon and silicon contents. Retained austenite is blocky and very fine and moderately stabilized due to C enrichment. The elongation and the strength-ductility balance of the steel can be enhanced considerably due to strain-induced martensite transformation and transformation-induced plasticity (TRIP) of retained austenite.

Test power of VLSI systems has become a challenging issue *** scan shift power dominates the average test power and restricts clock frequency of the shift phase,leading to excessive thermal accumulation and long test *** paper proposes a scan chain design technique to solve the above *** on weighted transition metric (WTM),the proposed extended WTM (EWTM) that is utilized to guide the scan chain design algorithm can estimate the scan shift power in both the shift-in and shift-out ***,the wire length overhead of the proposed scan chain design can also be reduced by the proposed distance of EWTM (DEWTM) *** results confirm that the proposed approach can significantly reduce scan shift power with low wire length overhead.

The expression of human α-1,2-fucosyltransferase (HT) or complement regulatory proteins has been proved as an strategy to overcome hypercute rejection in discordant xenogeneic organ transplantation. In this study, we examined whether peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from polytransgenic mice expressing the human HT, and complement regulatory proteins (DAF and CD59), can provide more effective protection against xenograft rejection. Transgenic mice were produced by co-injection of gene constructs for human HT, DAF and/or CD59. Flow Cytometry (FCM) was used to screen the positive transgenic mice. PBMCs from transgenic mice were incubated with 15% human serum to evaluate natural antibody binding, complement activation and expression of adhesion molecules. Three transgenes were strongly expressed in PBMCs of transgenic mice, and HT expression signifi- cantly reduced expression of the major xenoepitope galactose-α-1,3-galactose (α-Gal). Functional studies with PBMCs showed that co-expression of HT and DAF or CD59 markedly increased their re- sistance to human serum-mediated cytolysis when compared with single transgenic PBMCs. Moreover, the combined expression of triple transgenes in PBMCs led to the greatest protection against human serum-mediated cytolysis, avoided hyperacute rejection and reduced expression of adhesion mole- cules. Strong co-expression of triple transgenes was completely protected from xenograft hyperacute rejection and partially inhibited acute vascular rejection. The studies suggest that engineering mice to express triple molecules represents an critical step toward prolonging xenograft survival and might be more suitable for xenotransplantation.
