A genetic algorithm based on the nested intervals chaos search (NICGA) hasbeen given. Because the nested intervals chaos search is introduced into the NICGA to initialize thepopulation and to lead the evolution of the population, the NICGA has the advantages of decreasingthe population size, enhancing the local search ability, and improving the computational efficiencyand optimization precision. In a multi4.yer feed forward neural network model for predicting thesilicon content in hot metal, the NICGA was used to optimize the connection weights and thresholdvalues of the neural network to improve the prediction precision. The application results show thatthe precision of predicting the silicon content has been increased.

A discovery of daughter minerals in fluid inclusions of Taibai gold deposit, Shaanxi province has been focused on, which is a unique breccia-cemented gold-bearing system. The breccia zone strikes NWW-SEE, occurring in Devonian strata of Southern Qinling Mountains. The cement is mainly composed of ankerite, pyrite, calcite and quartz, which may be divided into four main tectonic-mineralizing stages. Gold mainly occurs in pyrite and ankerite of stage II and IV. It is found that three types of fluid inclusions can be distinguished: (1) aqueous inclusions (type B); (2) CO2-rich inclusions (type C); (3) daughter minerals-containing inclusions (type A). LRM. (Laser Raman Micro-probe) analyses shows that the content of CO2 occupies 54.4.-70.7% (mole fraction, so as the follows) in vapor phases of different type fluid inclusions. CH4.(5.2%-7.3%) and H2S (6.0%-12.7%) exist in both vapor and liquid phases. Many daughter minerals in fluid inclusions of ankerite and quartz have been found. Several kinds of daughter minerals, including ankerite, pyrite, arsenopyrite and halite, were determined by using SEM (scanning electron microscope)/EDS (energy dispersive spectrometer) technique. EPMA (electron probe micro-analysis) technique was also applied to study the daughter minerals exposed to the surface of polished thin sections.

Though progress has been made in fractal compression techniques, the longencoding times still remain the main drawback of this technique, which results from the need ofperforming a large number of range-domain matches. The total encoding time is the sum of the timerequired to perform each match. In order to make this method more efficient in practical use, thefuzzy theory based on feature extraction of the projection and normalized codebook method has beenprovided to optimize the encoding time, based on the c-means clustering approach. The results of theimplementation of Rate Mean Square (RMS), Peak signal noise ratio (PSNR) and the encoding time ofthis proposed method have been compared to other methods like the Feature Extraction andSelf-orgarnization methods to show its efficiency.

Transformation-competent artificial chromosome system is able to clone and transfer genes efficiently in *** order to clone genes highly tolerant to barley yellow dwarf virus(BYDV),Aphids,drought and salt from Leymus multicaulis,the two TAC genomic libraries I and II were constructed in vector pYLTAC17 and pYLTAC74.H/sacB,which contain about 165000 and 236000 recombinant clones *** genome coverage of the two libraries was totally estimated to be about 3―5 haploid genome equivalents,as size selection of genomic DNA fragments was approximately from 9 to 300 *** of the genomic libraries were collected as bulked pools each containing 500 clones or so,stored in twelve 96-deep-well plates and then were gridding in triplicate onto a high-density colony hybridization filter with a 3×3 pattern using a GeneTAC?G3 arraying robot after being transferred manually into three 384.well *** 2501 and 2890 clones of Library in pYLTAC17 and in pYLTAC74.H/sacB were stored individually in fourteen 384.well plates and then were automatically gridding in duplicate onto a high-density colony hybridization filter with a 6×6 pattern after a replication of *** positive clones were detected by using the probe glutahione reductase gene of *** libraries constructed here can be used to isolate genomic clones containing target genes,and to carry out genome walking for positional *** the target TAC clones were isolated,they could be immediately transferred into plant genomes with the Agrobacterium system.

The Er3+-Yb3+ codoped Al2O3 nanoparticles with an average particle size of about 50 nm have been synthesized by an arc discharge synthesis method. The green and red up-conversion emissions centered at about 526, 54. and 677 nm, corresponding respectively to the 2H11/2→4.15/2, 4.3/2→4.15/2 and 4.F9/2→4.15/2 transitions of Er3+, were detected by a 978-nm semiconductor laser diode excitation. The Annealing has evident effect on the up-conversion emissions of the samples: The red up-conversion emission is noticeable before annealing; however, the green up-conversion emission becomes predominant after annealing. The mixture of (Er,Yb)3Al5O12 and α-(Al,Er,Yb)2O3 phases is more favorable for green up-conversion emissions due to an enhancement of the ESA (I) of 4.11/2+a photon→4.7/2 and ET (III) of 2F5/2(Yb3+)+4.11/2(Er3+)→2F7/2(Yb3+)+4.7/2(Er3+) processes. The two-photon absorption up-conversion process is involved in the green and red up-conversion emissions. The results have proved that arc discharge synthesis is a new promising preparation technology for optical materials.

Typical delay tolerant networks(DTNs)often suffer from long and variable delays,frequent connectivity disruptions,and high bit error *** DTNs,the design of an efficient routing algorithm is one of the key *** existing methods improve the accessibility probability of the data transmission by transmitting many copies of the packet to the network,but they may cause a high network *** address the tradeoff between a successful delivery ratio and the network overhead,we propose a DTN routing algorithm based on the Markov location prediction model,called the spray and forward routing algorithm(SFR).Based on historical information of the nodes,the algorithm uses the second-order Markov forecasting mechanism to predict the location of the destination node,and then forwards the data by greedy routing,which reduces the copies of packets by spraying the packets in a particular *** contrast to a fixed mode where a successful-delivery ratio and routing overhead are contradictory,a hybrid strategy with multi-copy forwarding is able to reduce the copies of the packets efficiently and at the same time maintain an acceptable successful-delivery *** simulation results show that the proposed SFR is efficient enough to provide better network performance than the spray and wait routing algorithm,in scenarios with sparse node density and fast mobility of the nodes.
