Neuro-heuristic computational intelligence for solving nonlinear pantograph systems

We present a neuro-heuristic computing platform for finding the solution for initial value problems （IVPs） of non- linear pantograph systems based on functional differential equations （P-FDEs） of different orders. In this scheme, the strengths of feed-forward artificial neural networks （ANNs）, the evolutionary computing technique mainly based on genetic algorithms （GAs）, and the interior-point technique （IPT） are exploited. Two types of mathematical models of the systems are constructed with the help of ANNs by defining an unsupervised error with and without exactly satisfying the initial conditions. The design parameters of ANN models are optimized with a hybrid approach GA-IPT, where GA is used as a tool for effective global search, and IPT is incorporated for rapid local convergence. The proposed scheme is tested on three different types oflVPs of P-FDE with orders 1-3 The correctness of the scheme is established by comparison with the existing exact solutions. The accuracy and convergence ofthc proposed scheme are further validated through a large number of numerical experiments by taking different numbers of neurons in ANN models.

Multiple morphological abnormalities of the sperm flagella(MMAF)is a severe form of asthenozoospermia categorized by immotile spermatozoa with abnormal flagella in ***-exome sequencing(WES)is used to detect pathogenic variants in patients with *** this study,a novel homozygous frameshift variant(c.6158_6159insT)in dynein axonemal heavy chain 8(DNAH8)from two infertile brothers with MMAF in a consanguineous Pakistani family was identified by *** transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)confirmed DNAH8 mRNA decay in these patients with the DNAH8 ***–eosin staining and transmission electron microscopy revealed highly divergent morphology and ultrastructure of sperm flagella in these ***,an immunofluorescence assay showed the absence of DNAH8 and a reduction in its associated protein DNAH17 in the patients'***,our study expands the phenotypic spectrum of patients with DNAH8-related MMAF worldwide.

Dear Editor,Arboviruses of medical importance are maintained in nature in enzootic cycles between haematogenous vectors and susceptible vertebrate hosts(Huang et al.,2019).The rapid increase in human populations around the globe and the associated urbanization are creating irreversible damage to the ecosystem,giving rise to many problems including emergence and intensification of the vector borne diseases(Sutherst,2004).Among vector borne diseases,mosquito-borne arboviruses including dengue virus(DENV),West Nile virus(WNV),Japanese Encephalitis virus(JEV)and Zika virus(ZIKV)are rapidly emerging in the affected regions of the world(Palmer et al.,2011).

Lady Windermere Syndrome: An Interesting Clinical and Radiological Presentation

Lady Windermere Syndrome is an uncommon pulmonary disease characteristically observed in elderly white females with chronic cough suppression and dyspnea. It is classically associated with Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) species. An 84-year-old female was evaluated for longstanding non-productive cough and intermittent dyspnea. A chest computed tomography scan revealed densities in the right upper lobe and scattered nodular-cystic bronchiectasis. Biopsy was negative for malignancy;however, bronchioalveolar lavage studies showed presence of MAC. Patient was treated with a 12-month course of azithromycin, rifampin and ethambutol resulting in resolution of her symptoms.

PAIgG and PAIgM levels in secondary dengue virus infections lead to thrombocytopenia in patients from KP, Pakistan

Objective: To understand the impact of platelet associated immunoglobulin G(PAIg G)/platelet associated immunoglobulin M(PAIg M) on severity of dengue virus infection leading to ***: In this study we examined a total of 52 patients who were having secondary infection of dengue in acute phase by using competitive ***: A decrease in the platelet count was observed at the acute phase of infection while all along the recovery stage the count of platelet was significantly increased. A significant decrease was observed in PAIg G and PAIg M in these subjects. Inverse correlation was found between platelets count and PAIg G/PAIg M among the subjects studied. In the platelets elution from ten subjects, anti-dengue virus immunoglobulin G and immunoglobulin M were observed. PAIg G and PAIg M with inclined levels were higher in dengue hemorrhagic fever than the classical dengue fever. In the development of dengue hemorrhagic fever PAIg M inclined level was independently associated with high specificity, showing a possible indication of dengue hemorrhagic ***: This study suggests that in secondary dengue virus infection, the PAIg G and PAIg M levels, and the activity of anti-dengue virus play key roles, both in the development and severity of the disease.

　煤焦油沥青在微型高压釜中、氮气氛下,通过改变反应温度和停留时间,制取了中间相沥青(MP)。采用FTIR、偏光显微镜、XRD和SEM对MP进行了表征,表明煤焦油沥青经脱氢缩合反应转变成MP。其最佳反应条件为400℃、7h。

自1989年发现了菊花对农杆菌浸染的敏感性,农杆菌介导转化法已成功应用于菊花花色、花期、株形、抗病虫及耐非生物胁迫等性状的改良中。从影响菊花遗传转化效率的农杆菌菌株类型、外植体选用、辅助添加剂的使用以及抗生素筛选等几方面阐述了菊花遗传转化技术研究的进展和应用现状,对菊花分子育种性状改良和重要功能基因发掘等研究进展进行综述,并对菊花转化效率改善途径的探索和环境友好型转基因新技术研发前景提出展望,以期为菊花分子育种提供参考。
