Exploiting Data Science for Measuring the Performance of Technology Stocks

The rise or fall of the stock markets directly affects investors’interest and ***,it is necessary to measure the performance of stocks in the market in advance to prevent our assets from suffering significant *** our proposed study,six supervised machine learning(ML)strategies and deep learning(DL)models with long short-term memory(LSTM)of data science was deployed for thorough analysis and measurement of the performance of the technology *** discussion are Apple Inc.(AAPL),Microsoft Corporation(MSFT),Broadcom Inc.,Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited(TSM),NVIDIA Corporation(NVDA),and Avigilon Corporation(AVGO).The datasets were taken from the Yahoo Finance API from 06-05-2005 to 06-05-2022(seventeen years)with 4280 *** already noted,multiple studies have been performed to resolve this problem using linear regression,support vectormachines,deep long short-termmemory(LSTM),and many other *** this research,the Hidden Markov Model(HMM)outperformed other employed machine learning ensembles,tree-based models,the ARIMA(Auto Regressive IntegratedMoving Average)model,and long short-term memory with a robust mean accuracy score of *** statistical analyses and measurements for machine learning ensemble algorithms,the Long Short-TermModel,and ARIMA were also carried out for further investigation of the performance of advanced models for forecasting time series ***,the proposed research found the best model to be HMM,and LSTM was the second-best model that performed well in all aspects.A developedmodel will be highly recommended and helpful for early measurement of technology stock performance for investment or withdrawal based on the future stock rise or fall for creating smart environments.

Low-complexity signal detection for massive MIMO systems via trace iterative method

Evaluation of soil loss severity and ecological restoration approach for sustainable agriculture in the Hindu Kush, Karakoram and Himalaya region

Soil erosion has resulted in removal of the topsoils containing fine soil particles and plant nutrients, causing decrease in soil fertility in the Hindu Kush, Karakoram and Himalaya(HKH) region. The existing production of cereal crop grains has been reduced to one third of the potential crop grains production owing to land degradation and poor farming practices. It is necessary to assess risk of soil loss and identify appropriate controlling measures to address issues of low agriculture productivity and water insecurity in the region. In the present study, severity of soil loss was predicted using Revised Universal Loss Equation(RUSLE) and ecological measures were identified for sustainable mountain agriculture in the HKH region of Upper Indus Basin, Pakistan. Overall 62.6% area was found to have very low risk of soil loss, i.e., 100 t/(ha·yr) in about 6.8% and 7.4% areas respectively. The mean rate of soil loss was about 41.9 t/(ha·yr) in the Hindu Kush, 31.1 t/(ha·yr) in the Himalayas, 18.8 t/(ha·yr) in the Karakoram and overall 29.7 t/(ha·yr) in the three HKH ranges. As such no considerable measures have been adopted by the communities for restoration of the degraded areas except raising fruit/farm trees and supporting limited social forestry for their livelihoods. The slopes cleared for cultivation and susceptible to erosion may be stabilized through sowing/planting of multi-purpose plant species and formation of proper bench terraces. The conservation of forest ecosystem and pastures at higher elevations would help in reducing overland water flow, risk of flash flood hazard and minimizing sediment loads in the downstream. The rapid pace of technological evolution is reshaping the landscape of business operations,prompting organizations to invest substantially in digital innovations such as artificial intelligence(AI)to maintain ***,the banking sector has emerged as an early adopter of AI technologies,reflecting its proactive stance toward technological *** the banking industry navigates through accelerated technological shifts,this research endeavors to explore the intention of employees within the Pakistan banking sector to embrace *** upon qualitative interviews with banking personnel,grounded theory approach was employed to identify five critical factors shaping AI adoption: perceived usefulness,perceived ease of use,personal well-being concern,personal development concern,and top management ***,a conceptual model was proposed by extending the Technology Acceptance Model(TAM)*** a quantitative approach,Structural Equation Modeling(SEM)was applied to analyze data collected from a sample of 255 employees across multiple banks in *** findings underscore the direct impact of all identified factors on AI adoption,albeit with varying degrees of ***,personal development concern and personal well-being concern were found to exert a negative influence on employees' intention to adopt AI,aligning with the formulated *** findings hold significant implications for organizations seeking to assess their workforce's readiness for AI *** illuminating the key factors influencing AI adoption,this study provides valuable insights for organizations striving to navigate the evolving technological landscape effectively.

Heat storage properties of phase change materials(PCMs) are essential characteristics that perform a key role in thermal heat energy storage *** thermal properties of PCMs can be improved by developing metal foam/PCM *** addition of metal foam in PCMs has a significant effect on the thermal characteristics of *** this paper,the heat storage properties of two different metal foam/PCM composites were experimentally *** behavior of paraffin in metal foam(copper and iron-nickel)/paraffin composites concerning pure paraffin at a constant heat flux of 1000 W/m^(2) in three directions simultaneously(x,y,and z) was *** was infiltrated into copper and iron-nickel foams to develop composite materials which resulted in enhancing the thermal conductivity of the paraffin.A comparative analysis is made on the heat storage properties of paraffin in copper and iron-nickel foams/paraffin *** temperature distribution during the phase transition process is experimentally *** comparison indicates that temperature uniformity in copper foam/paraffin composite is better than in iron-nickel foam/paraffin composite and pure paraffin at the same heat *** results show that at heat flux of 1000 W/m^(2),the heat storage time for copper foam/paraffin composite is 20.63% of that of iron-nickel foam/paraffin composite.

The sluggish kinetics of oxygen evolution reaction(OER)is the key tailback for hydrogen production from the water *** OER with thermodynamically auspicious methanol oxidation reaction(MOR)can significantly boost the H_(2) and value-added products ***,it is currently challenging to achieve a synergistic manipulation of product selectivity and performance for MOR ***,we report NiSnPH@OOH/CC(CC=carbon cloth)perovskite hydroxide nanosphere as an efficient MOR electrocatalyst with high activity,stability,and selectivity towards methanol oxidation to formate.A surface amorphous layer of defect rich NiOOH was generated in operando by selective Sn leaching with stable perovskite hydroxide bulk structure,which mitigates the oxidative power and optimizes the local coordination environment of the active NiOOH *** situ Raman combined with electrochemical studies further confirm the key active species,NiOOH,generated in operando enhance the MOR and blocking the over oxidation of methanol to CO_(2).As a result,NiSnPH@OOH/CC effectively masks the OER and attains>99%selectivity with 100%Faradic efficiency for *** results of this study show the advances of NiSnPH@OOH/CC as an efficient electrocatalyst for MOR and also suggest its potential applications for various small organic molecules oxidation.

Privacy-preserved learning from non-i.i.d data in fog-assisted IoT:A federated learning approach

With the prevalence of the Internet of Things(IoT)systems,smart cities comprise complex networks,including sensors,actuators,appliances,and cyber *** complexity and heterogeneity of smart cities have become vulnerable to sophisticated cyber-attacks,especially privacy-related attacks such as inference and data poisoning *** Learning(FL)has been regarded as a hopeful method to enable distributed learning with privacypreserved intelligence in IoT *** though the significance of developing privacy-preserving FL has drawn as a great research interest,the current research only concentrates on FL with independent identically distributed(i.i.d)data and few studies have addressed the non-i.i.d *** is known to be vulnerable to Generative Adversarial Network(GAN)attacks,where an adversary can presume to act as a contributor participating in the training process to acquire the private data of other *** paper proposes an innovative Privacy Protection-based Federated Deep Learning(PP-FDL)framework,which accomplishes data protection against privacy-related GAN attacks,along with high classification rates from non-i.i.d ***-FDL is designed to enable fog nodes to cooperate to train the FDL model in a way that ensures contributors have no access to the data of each other,where class probabilities are protected utilizing a private identifier generated for each *** PP-FDL framework is evaluated for image classification using simple convolutional networks which are trained using MNIST and CIFAR-10 *** empirical results have revealed that PF-DFL can achieve data protection and the framework outperforms the other three state-of-the-art models with 3%–8%as accuracy improvements.
