Calcium phosphate(CaP)has been widely used for bone defect repair due to good biocompatibility and *** manufacture of calcium phosphate bioceramics with tailored architectures and improved mechanical properties has recently attracted great ***,calcium phosphate nanoparticles with the size of~89-164 nm were synthesized by the hydrothermal treatment of amorphous calcium phosphate(ACP)precursors at 180°C for 24 *** elements including Mg,Sr and Zn have been doped into these calcium phosphate *** results revealed that Mg^(2+)ions played critical roles in formation of whitlockite-type calcium phosphate(not hydroxyapatite)from ACP ***,gyroid scaffolds with bionic triply periodic minimal surface structures were fabricated using stereolithography printing of these calcium phosphate nanoparticles,which are likely used as biofunctional scaffolds for bone repair.

AIM: To investigate the tolerance development against the relaxant effect of nitric oxide donating drug isosorbide dinitrate (ISDN) and sodium nitropruside (SNP) in internal anal sphincter (IAS) smooth muscle. METHODS: Relaxation responses of ISDN, and electrical fi eld stimulation (EFS) were obtained before and after tolerance induction by ISDN incubation. RESULTS: ISDN (10-7-10-4 mol/L) and SNP (10-8-10-4 mol/L) caused a concentration-dependent relaxation on the basal tonus of the isolated rabbit IAS strips. After a period of 2 h incubation of the 6 x 10-4 mol/L ISDN the relaxation effects of ISDN and SNP did not change compared to control strips. EFS evoked frequency-dependent relaxation in internal anal sphincter smooth muscle and Emax obtained from control strips were not changed in ISDN tolerance-inducing condition. In this study nitrate tolerance was not observed in rabbit IAS smooth muscle. CONCLUSION: This result shows that nitric oxide donating drugs relaxes the internal anal sphincter of the rabbits without the development of tolerance.

Altered spontaneous contractions of the ileum by anesthetic agents in rats exposed to peritonitis

AIM： To investigate in vitro effects of propofol, midazolam and dexmedetomidine, which are commonly used anaesthesic or sedatives, on spontaneous contractions of the ileum both in normal rats and those exposed to hyperdynamic peritonitis.METHODS： Spontaneous contractions of isolated ileum muscle segments from sham operated rats and those exposed to peritonitis, were studied in vitro. The amplitude and the frequency of spontaneous contractions of ileum muscle segments were studied after adding dexmetetomidine, propofoi, and midazolam to the organ bath in a cumulative manner.RESULTS： Both amplitude （85.2 ± 6.6 vs 47.4 ± 7.1） and frequency （32.8 ± 4.6 vs 20.2 ± 3.9） of spontaneous contractions in ileum smooth muscle segments were decreased significantly in the peritonitis group compared to the control group （P 〈 0.05）. Dexmedetomidine significantly increased the amplitude of spontaneous contractions （85.2 ± 6.6 vs 152.0 ± 5.4, P 〈 0.05） whereas, propofol （85.2 ± 6.6 vs 49.6 ± 4.8, P 〈 0.05） and midazolam （85.2 ± 6.6 vs 39.2 ± 4.5, P 〈 0.05） decreased it in both control and peritonitis groups. The frequency of spontaneous contractions were significantly decreased by propofol in both control （32.8 ± 4.6 vs 18.2 ± 3.4, P 〈 0.05） and peritonitis groups 20.2 ± 3.9 vs 11.6 ± 3.2, P 〈 0.05）. Dexmedetomidine and midazolam did not cause significant changes in the number of spontaneous contractions in both control and the peritonitis groups （P 〉 0.05）.CONCLUSION： Propofol, midazolam and dexmede- tomidine have various in vitro effects on spontaneous contractions of the rat ileum. While dexmedetomidine augments the spontaneous contraction of the rat ileum, propofol attenuates it. However, the effects of these compounds were parallel in both control and peritonitis groups.

The study area is located in the east Tabas Block in Central Iran. Facies analysis of the Qal＇eh Dokhtar Formation（middle Callovian to late Oxfordian） was carried out on two stratigraphic sections and applied to depositional environment and sequence stratigraphy interpretation. This formation conformably overlies and underlies the marly-silty Baghamshah and the calcareous Esfandiar formations, respectively. Lateral and vertical facies changes documents low-to high energy environments, including tidal-flat, beach to intertidal, lagoon, barrier, and open-marine. According to these facies associations and absence of resedimentation deposits a depositional model of a mixed carbonate-siliciclastic ramp was proposed for the Qal＇eh Dokhtar Formation. Seven third-order depositional sequences were identified in each two measured stratigraphic sections. Transgressive systems tracts（TSTs） show deepening upward trends, i.e. shallow water beach to intertidal and lagoonal facies, while highstand systems tracts（HST） show shallowing upward trends in which deep water facies are overlain by shallow water facies. All sequence boundaries（except at the base of the stratigraphic column） are of the no erosional（SB2） types. We conclude eustatic rather than tectonic factors played a dominant role in controlling carbonate depositional environments in the study area.

Objective:To scrutinize patterns of multi-drug-resistant uropathogenic Escherichia coli(UPEC) strains and particularly of fluoroquinolone-resistance this is an alternative choice for the treatment of urinary tract ***:Bacterial samples(n = 250) were collected from out-patients from August 2012 to August 2014 *** susceptibility profiling and determination of minimum inhibitory concentrations(MICs) and minimum bactericidal concentrations were performed according to the guidelines of Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute(CLSI,2012).Genes,qnrA,qnrB and qnrS were identified by DNA amplification and ***:The highest percentage of UPEC isolates were resistant to co-trimoxazole(82%) followed by cephalothin(80%),2nd Gen,3rd Gen and 4th Gen cephalosporins,*** against gentamicin,amikacin remained 29% and 4%.For other drugs including nitrofurantoin,tetracycline,carbapenem and beta-lactam inhibitors remained below 10%.Altogether,59% of the isolates were resistant to at least three antibiotics including one ***,MICs for ciprofloxacin remained(MIC≥256 μg/mL) and for levofloxacin(MIC≥16 μg/mL and 32 μg/mL).No significant differences were observed regarding MIC values of extended spectrumβ-lactamase(ESBL) and non-ESBL *** qnrS and qnrB positive isolates MICs remained above 32 μg/*** of UPEC was significantly higher among females and 40% of the isolates were ESBL ***:Higher percentages of ESBL producing UPEC were associated with urinary tract ***,the majority of these isolates were multi-drug resistant and fluoroquinolone-resistant.

Molecular phylogeny reveals the non-monophyly of tribe Yinshanieae （Brassicaceae） and description of a new tribe, Hillielleae

The taxonomic treatment within the unigeneric tribe Yinshanieae （Brassicaceae） is controversial, owing to differences in generic delimitation applied to its species. In this study, sequences from nuclear ITS and chloroplast trnL-F regions were used to test the monophyly of Yinshanieae, while two nuclear markers （ITS, ETS） and four chloroplast markers （trnL-F, trnH-psbA, rps16, rpL32-trnL） were used to elucidate the phylogenetic relationships within the tribe. Using maximum parsimony, maximum likelihood, and Bayesian inference methods, we reconstructed the phylogeny of Brassicaceae and Yinshanieae. The results show that Yinshanieae is not a monophyletic group, with the taxa splitting into two distantly related clades： one clade contains four taxa and falls in Lineage 1, whereas the other includes all species previously placed in Hilliella and is embedded in the Expanded Lineage Ⅱ. The tribe Yinshanieae is redefined, and a new tribe, Hillielleae, is proposed based on combined evidence from molecular phy logeny, morphology, and cytology.

A review of chemical absorption of carbon dioxide for biogas upgrading

Significant attention has been given to biogas production, purification and upgrading as a renewable and clean fuel supplement. Biogas is a product of an anaerobic digestion process comprising methane, carbon dioxide,and trace amounts of other gases. Biogas purification removes trace gases in biogas for safe utilisation. Biogas upgrading produces methane-rich biogas by removing bulk carbon dioxide from the gas mixture. Several carbon dioxide removal techniques can be applied for biogas upgrading. However, chemical absorption of carbon dioxide for biogas upgrading is of special significance due to its operation at ambient or near ambient temperature and pressure, thus reducing energy consumption. This paper reviews the chemical absorption of carbon dioxide using amine scrubbing, caustic solvent scrubbing, and amino acid salt solution scrubbing. Each of these techniques for biogas upgrading is discussed. The paper concludes that an optimised implementation of the chemical absorption techniques for biogas upgrading requires further research.

Methyl-eugenol （ME）（1,2-dimethoxy-4-（2-propenyl）benzene）, a natural phy- tochemical, did enhance male Bactrocera carambolae Drew ＆ Hancock （Diptera： Tephri- tidae） mating competitiveness 3 d after ingestion. Enhanced male mating competitiveness can significantly increase the effectiveness of the sterile insect technique （SIT）. ME appli- cation to mass reared sterile flies by feeding is infeasible. ME application by aromatherapy however, would be a very practical way of ME application in fly emergence and release facilities. This approach was shown to enhance mating competitiveness ofB. carambolae 3 d posttreatment （DPT）. Despite this added benefit, every additional day of delaying re- lease will reduce sterile fly quality and will add cost to SIT application. The present study was planned to assess the effects of ME-aromatherapy on male B. carambolae mating competitiveness 1DPT and 2DPT. ME aromatherapy 1DPT or 2DPT did enhance mating competitiveness of B. carambolae males whereas ME feeding 1DPT and 2DPT did not. Male mating competitiveness was enhanced by the ME aromatherapy irrespective if they received 1DPT, 2DPT or 3DPT. ME aromatherapy, being a viable approach for its applica- tion, did enhance mating competitiveness of male B. carambolae 1 d posttreatrnent as ME feeding did 3 d after ingestion.
