The two-dimensional problem of generalized thermoelastic diffusion material with thermal and diffusion relaxation times is investigated in the context of the Lord-Shulman theory. As an application of the problem, a particular type of thermal source is considered and the problem is solved numerically by using a finite element method. The components of displacement, stress, temperature distribution chemical potential and mass concentration are obtained. The resulting quantities are depicted graphically for a special model. An appreciable effect of relaxation times is observed on various resulting quantities.

Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis(AIS)is a deformity of the spine that affects *** current method for detecting AIS is based on radiographic images which may increase the risk of cancer growth due to *** is another alternative used to identify AIS by distinguishing the curves of the spine from the surface of a human’s ***,detecting the curve of the spine is manually performed,making it a time-consuming *** overcome this issue,it is crucial to develop a better model that automatically detects the curve of the spine and classify the types of *** research proposes a new integration of ESNN and Feature Extraction(FE)methods and explores the architecture of ESNN for the AIS classification *** research identifies the optimal Feature Extraction(FE)methods to reduce computational *** ability of ESNN to provide a fast result with a simplicity and performance capability makes this model suitable to be implemented in a clinical setting where a quick result is crucial.A comparison between the conventional classifier(Support Vector Machine(SVM),Multi-layer Perceptron(MLP)and Random Forest(RF))with the proposed AIS model also be performed on a dataset collected by an orthopedic expert from Hospital Universiti kebangsaan Malaysia(HUkM).This dataset consists of various photogrammetry images of the human back with different types ofMalaysian AIS patients to solve the scoliosis *** process begins by pre-processing the images which includes resizing and converting the captured pictures to gray-scale *** is then followed by feature extraction,normalization,and *** experimental results indicate that the integration of LBP and ESNN achieves higher accuracy compared to the performance of multiple baseline state-of-the-art Machine Learning for AIS *** demonstrates the capability of ESNN in classifying the types of AIS based on photogrammetry images.

Effects of friction stir processing（FSP）parameters and reinforcements on the wear behavior of 6061-T6 based hybrid composites were investigated.A mathematical formulation was derived to calculate the wear volume loss of the *** experimental results were contrasted with the results of the proposed *** influences of sliding distance,tool traverse and rotational speeds,as well as graphite（Gr）and titanium carbide（TiC）volume fractions on the wear volume loss of the composites were also investigated using the prepared *** results demonstrated that the wear volume loss of the composites significantly increased with increasing sliding distance,tool traverse speed,and rotational speed;while the wear volume loss decreased with increasing volume fraction of the reinforcements.A minimum wear volume loss for the hybrid composites with complex reinforcements was specified at the inclusion ratio of 50% TiC＋50% Al2O3 because of improved lubricant ability,as well as resistance to brittleness and *** possibilities to develop wear-resistant aluminum-based composites for different industrial applications were proposed.

Recently,the topic of bioresorbable metals,with much focus on magnesium for bone implant applications,has been an area of considerable ***,it could be argued that magnesium is the most promising biodegradable material currently being studied for use as an orthopedic skeletal fixation and joint replacement ***,the fast degradation rate of magnesium-based materials in the physiological environment negatively affects their mechanical integrity and hence limits their biomedical *** most critical conditions may occur when the implant is subjected to a corrosive physiological environment and a fluctuating load during daily ***,numerous studies have been published on the synthesis,alloying,and coating of magnesium to control degradation rate and increase strength and *** the materials and strategies employed to achieve these goals,magnesium-based biocomposites have exhibited superior mechanical properties and acceptable ***,there is a lack of understanding of their corrosion and corrosion-fatigue *** understanding is necessary to qualify these new materials for various bio-implant *** this end,this paper reviews the recent advances in the corrosion and corrosion-fatigue behavior of magnesium-based *** also provides a comprehensive discussion of different factors that influence the biocompatibility,corrosion,fatigue,and corrosion-fatigue of magnesium-based biocomposites as potential implant *** study emphasizes that despite the abundance of various studies on the corrosion behavior of magnesium-based biocomposites,there is an imperative need for more fatigue and corrosion-fatigue studies.

A numerical analysis has been carried out to investigate the problem of magnetohydrodynamic(MHD)boundary-layer flow and heat transfer of a viscous incompressible fluid over a fixed *** surface boundary condition is taken into account for thermal boundary condition.A problem formulation is developed in the presence of thermal radiation,magnetic field and heat source/sink parameters.A similarity transformation is used to reduce the governing boundary-layer equations to couple higher-order nonlinear ordinary differential *** equations are numerically solved using keller–Box *** effect of the governing parameters such as radiation,Prandtl number,Hartman number,heat source/sink parameter on velocity and temperature profile is discussed and shown by plotting *** is found that the temperature is an increasing function of convective parameter A,radiation and heat source ***,the numerical results for the local skin friction coefficient and local Nusselt number are computed and presented in tabular *** a comparison with a previously published results on a special case of the problem has done and shows excellent agreement.

The Schrodinger equation is solved with general molecular potential via the improved quantization *** for bound state energy eigenvalues,radial eigenfunctions,mean kinetic energy,and potential energy are obtained in compact *** modeling the centrifugal term of the effective potential,a Pekeris-like approximation scheme is ***,we use the Hellmann–Feynman theorem to derive the relation for expectation *** state energy eigenvalues,wave functions and meanenergies of Woods–Saxon potential,Morse potential,Mobius squared and Tietz–Hua oscillators are deduced from the general molecular *** addition,we use our equations to compute the bound state energy eigenvalues and expectation values for four diatomic molecules viz.H_(2),CO,HF,and O_(2).Results obtained are in perfect agreement with the data available from the literature for the potentials and *** also show that as the vibrational quantum number increases,the mean kinetic energy for the system in a Tietz–Hua potential increases slowly to a threshold value and then *** in a Morse potential,the mean kinetic energy increases linearly with vibrational quantum number increasing.
