Objective:To estimate the potential contributions of reported changes in frequency of penile-vaginal sex(PVS),condom use and STI screening to changes in gonorrhea and chlamydial diagnoses from 2012 to ***:An agent-based model of the heterosexual population in the *** the STI *** was calibrated to 2012 diagnosis rates,testing,condom use,and frequency of *** used behaviors from the 2017-2019 NSFG,and we evaluated changes in diagnosis and incidence rates in ***:higher testing rates increased gonorrhea and chlamydia diagnosis by 14%and 13%,respectively,but did not reduce *** frequency of PVS reduced the diagnosis rate for gonorrhea and chlamydia 6%and 3%respectively while reducing incidence by 10%and 9%*** condom use had negligible impact on diagnosis and ***:Understanding how changing behavior drives STI incidence is essential to addressing the growing *** in testing and frequency of PVS likely contributed to some,but not all,of the changes in *** research is needed to understand the context within which changing sexual behavior and testing are occurring.

The captive white-tailed deer industry has an estimated impact of 1.6 billion USD in the state of Texas alone. however, nutritional requirements for cervids are determined through research based on sheep and goats. The objective of this study was to determine the effects of zinc on differences in dry matter digestibility in vitro for white-tailed does (Odocoileus virginianus). Deer (n = 2) were ethically harvested, rumens were collected, and placed into a cooler containing warm water. Rumen contents were agitated, and fluid was filtered using cheese cloth while applying CO2. Fluid was placed into four separate incubator jars with filter bags containing a 1:1 alfalfa to coastal hay blend. Zinc doses of 0.073 mg/kg/d equivalents were added to two of the jars ( Zn), and the additional two jars received 0.00 mg/kg/d (CON). Following 48 h of incubation, in vitro true digestibility (IVTD) showed no significant differences between the control and the treatment groups. Average dry matter digested in vitro was 91.87% and 95.13%, respectively. There were no differences detected in ADF, NDF, IVTD, or OM between the treatment groups. While no detectable differences were observed in this study, this methodology did prove to be viable and functional for microbial digestion in vitro. This study can be replicated with multiple experimental units to confirm the observations of increased digestibility. Formal nutritional guidelines can be created to allow for more efficient feeding of cervids thereby reducing feed costs and continuing the growth of the captive deer industry.

Recent advancements have established machine learning's utility in predicting nonlinear fluid dynamics,with predictive accuracy being a central motivation for employing neural ***,the pattern recognition central to the networks function is equally valuable for enhancing our dynamical insight into the complex fluid *** this paper,a single-layer convolutional neural network(CNN)was trained to recognize three qualitatively different subsonic buffet flows(periodic,quasi-periodic and chaotic)over a high-incidence airfoil,and a near-perfect accuracy was obtained with only a small training *** convolutional kernels and corresponding feature maps,developed by the model with no temporal information provided,identified large-scale coherent structures in agreement with those known to be associated with buffet *** to hyperparameters including network architecture and convolutional kernel size was also *** coherent structures identified by these models enhance our dynamical understanding of subsonic buffet over high-incidence airfoils over a wide range of Reynolds numbers.

Molecular interactions are crucial in diverse fields of protein folding,material science,nanotechnology,and life *** mounting experimental research controls luminescent behavior by adjusting molecular interactions in light-emitting materials,it remains elusive to correlate microscopic molecular interactions with macroscopic luminescent behavior ***,we synthesized three red luminogens with subtle structural variation and investigated the influence of molecular interactions on their luminescent behavior in solution and aggregate *** results indicate that strongπ-πand D-A interactions in both dilute solution(between luminogen and solvent molecules)and aggregate(between luminogens)states cause the redshift in emission,while weak interactions(e.g.,Van der Waals,C–h…π,and C–h…F interactions)enhance the quantum *** work provides a thoughtful investigation into the complicated influence of various molecular interactions on luminescent behavior.

The green fluorescent protein (GFP) from the jellyfish Aequorea victoria has attracted widespread interest since it was demonstrated to be fluorescent in vivo when expressed in other organisms. In order to investigate papillomavirus life cycle which hampered by the unavailability of conventional cell culture system, we constructed a chimeric bovine papillomavirus (BPV) type 1 virus like particles (VLPs) containing GFP. It was found that fluorescent VLPs could be assembled from L2 protein in which GFP is inserted into the N terminal region of L2 (aa 88). The fluorescent VLPs could also be assembled from a GFP/L2 fusion protein in which part of the L2 sequence had been deleted. In vitro , fluorescent VLPs could bind to CV 1 cells, and this VLP/cell interaction could be analyzed by FACS assay. These results demonstrated that GFP could incorporate into BPV1 VLPs without disruption of the VLP structure. Fluorescent VLPs might be a useful tool for study of papillomavirus virus/cell interaction.

The physics of low Reynolds number plumes is well understood, which allows a number of testable predictions to be made about mantle plumes. They are predicted to originate from the core-mantle boundary and consist of a large head followed by a narrower tail. Millions of cubic kilometers of magma can be produced from a plume head. Rifting over a previously-emplaced plume head should produce a narrow zone of thickened oceanic crust along the rift margin. Initial eruption from a plume head should be preceded by ∼1,000 m of domal uplift. Picrites are expected to dominate the first eruptive products of a new plume and should be concentrated near the centre of the volcanic province. All of these predictions are confirmed by observations, and so provide strong support for the validity of the mantle plume hypothesis.

This paper reports the observation of ultra-superluminal pulse propagation in multiple-contact semiconductor heterostructures in a superradiant emission regime,and shows definitively that it is a different class of emission from conventional spontaneous or stimulated *** population gratings induced in the semiconductor medium under strong electrical pumping have been shown to cause a major decrease of the group refractive index,in the range of 5–40%.This decrease is much greater than that caused by conventional carrier depletion or chirp *** decrease in refractive index in turn causes faster-than-c propagation of femtosecond *** measurement also proves the existence of coherent amplification of electromagnetic pulses in semiconductors at room temperature,the coherence being strongly enhanced by interactions of the light with coherent transient gratings locked to carrier *** pulse-generation technique is anticipated to have great potential in applications where highly coherent femtosecond optical pulses must be generated on demand.
