Functionalized selenium nanoparticles ameliorated acetaminophen-induced hepatotoxicity through synergistically triggering PKCδ/Nrf2 signaling pathway and inhibiting CYP 2E1

Selenium nanoparticles(SeNPs)have been demonstrated potential for use in diseases associated with oxidative *** SeNPs with lower toxicity and higher biocompatibility could bring better therapeutic activity and clinical application ***,this work was conducted to investigate the protective effect of Pleurotus tuber-regium polysaccharide-protein complex funtionnalized SeNPs(PTR-SeNPs)against acetaminophen(APAP)-induced oxidative injure in HepG2 cells and C57BL/6J mouse *** elucidation of the underlying molecular mechanism,in particular their modulation of Nrf2 signaling pathway was also *** results showed that PTR-SeNPs could significantly ameliorate APAP-induced oxidative injury as evidenced by a range of biochemical analysis,histopathological examination and immunoblotting ***-SeNPs could hosphorylate and activate PKCδ,depress Keap1,and increase nuclear accumulation of Nrf2,resulting in upregulation of GCLC,GCLM,HO-1 and NQO-1 ***,PTR-SeNPs suppressed the biotransformation of APAP to generate intracellular ROS through CYP 2E1 inhibition,restoring the mitochondrial ***,the protective effect of PTR-SeNPs against APAP induced hepatotoxicity was weakened as Nrf2 was depleted in vivo,indicating the pivotal role of Nrf2 signaling pathway in PTR-SeNPs mediated hepatoprotective *** a potential hepatic protectant,PTR-SeNPs could serve as a new source of selenium supplement for health-promoting and biomedical applications.

in the present work,a multi-element nanoglass(m-NG)of FeCoCrMoCBY is obtained first time by the laser ablation combined with inert gas condensation(laser-iGC)*** with the conventional rapid-quenched metallic glass(MG)with identical composition,the Fe-based m-NG demonstrates a superior performance as a self-supported electrocatalyst for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)in acidic *** enhanced HER activity of m-NG is proposed to be closely related to its high en-ergy states,which is originated from the unique inhomogeneous nanostructures with a high density of low-coordinated ***,the Fe-based m-NG exhibits an outstanding comprehensive catalytic performance even beyond the commercial Pt/C catalyst in long-term test due to its self-optimization *** work not only opens the way to the preparation of m-NGs by the novel laser-iGC technique,but also makes a great contribution to developing low-cost,high-efficient,and super-durable HER electrocat-alysts in acidic environment.

Radiative loss of coherence in free electrons:a long-range quantum phenomenon

Quantum physics rules the dynamics of small objects as they interact over microscopic length ***,quantum correlations involving macroscopic distances can be observed between entangled photons as well as in atomic gases and matter waves at low *** long-range nature of the electromagnetic coupling between charged particles and extended objects could also trigger quantum phenomena over large ***,we reveal a manifestation of quantum mechanics that involves macroscopic distances and results in a nearly complete depletion of coherence associated with which-way free-electron interference produced by electron-radiation coupling in the presence of distant extended *** is a ubiquitous effect that we illustrate through a rigorous theoretical analysis of a two-path electron beam interacting with a semi-infinite metallic plate and find the inter-path coherence to vanish proportionally to the path separation at zero temperature and exponentially at finite *** investigated regime of large distances originates in the coupling of the electron to radiative modes assisted by diffraction at material structures but without any involvement of material *** the fundamental interest of this macroscopic quantum phenomenon,our results suggest an approach to measuring the vacuum temperature and nondestructively sensing the presence of distant objects.

Water-soluble lignin-carbohydrate complex(LCC)rich in polysaccharides exhibits benign in vitro antioxidant activities and distinguishes high biocompatibility from lignin-rich LCC and ***,the antioxidant activity of water-soluble LCCs remains to be improved and its structure-antioxidant relationship is still ***,structurally diversified water-soluble LCCs were isolated under different ball-milling pretreatment durations(4,6,8 h),extraction pathways(ho-mogeneous and heterogeneous),and isolation routines(water extracts and residues after water extraction).Their structures were characterized by wet chemistry,chromatography and *** activities were evaluated by ferric reducing antioxidant power and 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl radicals scavenging rate(RDPPH).Results show that altering ball-milling duration and isolation procedures cause varied structures and antioxidant activities of the water-soluble ***,prolonging ball-milling duration to 8 hours and homogeneous extrac-tion can enhance their antioxidant activity through releasing more phenolic structures and pro-moting the extraction of high-molecular-weight LCCs via reducing mass-transfer resistance,*** a result,the RDPPH of water-soluble LCCs reaches up to 97.35%,which is associated with the arabinan content with statistical significance(Pis study provides new insights into the structure-antioxidation relationship of herbaceous LCC as potential antioxidants.

Properties of collective flow and pion production in intermediate-energy heavy-ion collisions with a relativistic quantum molecular dynamics model

The relativistic mean-field approach was implemented in the Lanzhou quantum molecular dynamics transport model(***). Using the ***, the properties of collective flow and pion production were investigated systematically for nuclear reactions with various isospin asymmetries. The directed and elliptic flows of the *** are able to describe the experimental data of STAR Collaboration. The directed flow difference between free neutrons and protons was associated with the stiffness of the symmetry energy, that is, a softer symmetry energy led to a larger flow difference. For various collision energies, the ratio between the π^(-) and π^(+) yields increased with a decrease in the slope parameter of the symmetry energy. When the collision energy was 270 MeV/nucleon, the single ratio of the pion transverse momentum spectra also increased with decreasing slope parameter of the symmetry energy in both nearly symmetric and neutron-rich ***, it is difficult to constrain the stiffness of the symmetry energy with the double ratio because of the lack of threshold energy correction on the pion production.

Based on the long wave limit method,the general form of the second-order and third-order rogue wave solutions to the focusing nonlinear Schr?dinger equation are given by introducing some arbitrary *** interaction solutions between the first-order rogue wave and one-breather wave are constructed by taking a long wave limit on the two-breather *** applying the same method to the three-breather solutions,two types of interaction solutions are obtained,namely the first-order rogue wave and two breather waves,the second-order rogue wave and one-breather wave,*** influence of the parameters related to the phase on the interaction phenomena is graphically *** occur among the rogue waves and breather *** the collisions,the shape of them remains *** abundant interaction phenomena in this paper will contribute to a better understanding of the propagation and control of nonlinear waves.
