Real-time external alteration of the internal properties of lubricants is highly desirable in all mechanical systems. However, fabricating a suitable and effective smart lubricant is a long-lasting experimental process. in this study, the film thickness and frictional response of ionic liquid-lubricated non-conformal contacts to an electric field excitation under elastohydrodynamic conditions were examined. Film thickness was evaluated using a "ball-on-disc" optical tribometer with an electric circuit. Friction tests were carried on a mini traction machine (MTM) tribometer with a "ball-on-disc" rotation module and an electric circuit for contact area excitation. The results demonstrate that there is a difference in the behaviour of the ionic liquid during electric field excitation at the evaluated film thicknesses. The results of evaluated film thicknesses demonstrate that there is a difference in the behaviour of the ionic liquid during electric field excitation. Therefore, the ionic liquids could be a new basis for the smart lubrication of mechanical components. Moreover, the proposed experimental approach can be used to identify electrosensitive fluids.

The paper specifies an unambiguous basic relationship between the published results of ab initio calculations of lattice energies, E L,and heats of sublimation, ΔH s,of individual energetic materials. in this relationship,the ΔH s value has been replaced by heats of fusion, ΔH m,tr . Thereby its unambiguity has been lost,and the similarity of details of molecular structure begins to be of decisive importance. The resulting partial relationships,together with the basic relationship,have been used for prediction of ΔH s,and ΔH m,tr values of technically attractive polynitro compounds.

文化经济学家对如何评价遗产保护政策的效果一贯都表现出浓厚的兴趣,而至于选择哪些历史和文化地标性建筑进行保护,学者在这方面的研究则相对较少。本文建立了一个确定地标性建筑政策选择的模型,该模型着重体现了文化设施的所有者和周围社区之间的利益矛盾。笔者对地标建筑类别选择模型(discrete choice model)进行了实证研究,数据来自一项针对17000千多个芝加哥历史建筑展开的资源调查(名为"历史资源调查"),还结合买卖、普查和其他地理数据。通过该数据,我们可以解释为何一些财产被认定为地标性建筑或者地标性建筑地区,而另一些却没有。根据研究结果,笔者发现遗产特点、当地文化经济因素和历史文化质量等在地标性建筑的认定中发挥了重要作用。

Dielectric resonators are key components in many microwave and millimetre wave circuits and applications, including high-Q filters and frequency-determining elements for precision frequency synthesis. Multilayered and bulk low-loss single crystal and polycrystalline dielectric structures have become very important for designing these devices. Proper design requires careful electromagnetic characterisation of low-loss material properties. This includes exact simulation with precision numerical software and precise measurements of resonant modes. For example, we have developed the Whispering Gallery mode technique, which has now become the standard for characterizing low-loss structures. This paper will review some of the common characterisation techniques used in the microwave to millimetre wave frequency regime.
