Beyond the RPA and GW methods with adiabatic xc-kernels for accurate ground state and quasiparticle energies

We review the theory and application of adiabatic exchange–correlation(xc)-kernels for ab initio calculations of ground state energies and quasiparticle excitations within the frameworks of the adiabatic connection fluctuation dissipation theorem and Hedin’s equations,*** different xc-kernels,which are all rooted in the homogeneous electron gas,are introduced but hereafter we focus on the specific class of renormalized adiabatic kernels,in particular the rALDA and *** kernels drastically improve the description of short-range correlations as compared to the random phase approximation(RPA),resulting in significantly better correlation *** effect greatly reduces the reliance on error cancellations,which is essential in RPA,and systematically improves covalent bond energies while preserving the good performance of the RPA for dispersive *** quasiparticle energies,the xc-kernels account for vertex corrections that are missing in the GW *** this context,we show that the short-range correlations mainly correct the absolute band positions while the band gap is less affected in agreement with the known good performance of GW for the *** renormalized xc-kernels offer a rigorous extension of the RPA and GW methods with clear improvements in terms of accuracy at little extra computational cost.

The United States has not yet enacted,or even considered,any legislation designed to implement either of the two pillars in the OECD/G20's two-pillar global tax *** article discusses the reasons for this inaction and the prospects for any action by the United States in the *** reviewing the events that have brought us to the current state of affairs,the discussion considers the Biden Administration's proposals regarding Pillar One and Pillar Two,both internationally(i.e.,in negotiations with other members of the inclusive Framework)and domestically(i.e.,in the US political and legislative process).The article concludes that it should not be surprising that the US is going its own way in the multilateral tax process.

Lateral heterostructures of two-dimensional(2D)materials,integrating different phases or materials into a single piece of nanosheet,have attracted intensive research interests for electronic *** the 2D lateral heterostructures to spintronics demands more diverse electromagnetic properties of 2D *** this paper,using density functional theory calculations,we survey all iV,V,and Vi group transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs)and discover that CrS_(2)has the most diverse electronic and magnetic properties:antiferromagnetic(AFM)metallic 1T phase,non-magnetic(NM)semiconductor 2H phase,and ferromagnetic(FM)semiconductor 1T′phase with a Curie temperature of~1000 ***,we find that a tensile or compressive strain can turn the 1T′phase into a spin-up or spin-down *** strain tunability can be attributed to the lattice deformation under tensile/compressive strain that selectively promotes the spin-up/spin-down VBM(valence band bottom)orbital *** diverse electromagnetic properties and the strain tunability enable strain-controlled spintronic devices using a single piece of CrS_(2)nanosheet with improved energy *** a demo,a prototypical design of the spin-valve logic device is *** offers a promising solution to address the challenge of high energy consumption in miniaturized spintronic devices.

Microwave,as a new heat treatment technology,has the characteristics of uniform and fast heating *** is an energy-saving technology known for improving oilseed product *** efficiency mainly depends on the roasting power and ***,the production of high-quality peanut butter using short-time roasting con-ditions are ***,we determined an appropriate microwave roasting power and time for peanuts and evaluated its impacts on the quality of peanut *** roasting powers(400 W,800 W and 1200 W)and times(4,4.5,5,and 5.5 min)were preliminarily *** them,800 W at 5 min was the most *** roasting efficiency was further evaluated using color,sensory,bioactive compounds,storage stability,and safety risk factors of peanut butter produced from four peanut cultivars(Silihong,Baisha-1016,Yuanza-9102,and Yuhua-9414).The pre-treated butter obtained from three cultivars(Silihong,Yuanza-9102,and Yuhua-9414)with moisture content between 5%and 7.2%had a similar sensory score(6-7)as the commercial on a 9-point hedonic scale compare to the *** color of the pre-treated peanut butter varies statistically with the commercial but remained in the recommended range of Hunter L*values of 51-52,respectively,for high initial moisture peanut *** total polyphenol(35.20-31.59±0.59μmol GAE/g)and tocopherol(19.05±0.35 mg/100 g)content in the butter obtained from three cultivars(Yuahua-9102,Yuhua,and Baisha-1016)and Silihong respectively,were significantly(Pigher than those in the commercial *** induction times of all pre-treated butter(19.80±0.99-7.84±0.07 h)were significantly(Ping storage at accelerated temperature than commercial *** addition,no benzo[a]pyrene was found in the pre-treated ***,the microwave pretreated peanut butter was superior to the commercial *** findings provided data support and a reference basis to promote microwave use for peanut butter production.

Nurses towards End-of-Life Situations: Sympathy vs. Empathy

Background: Nurses providing end-of-life care play an important role in providing support to both the patient and his/her family during one of their most difficult time. Patients in this stage do not only require physical care but emotional support as well. Aside from being a care provider, nurses should be able to utilize their knowledge in therapeutic communication in order for the patients and his/her family members to verbalize their feelings and concerns. Objective: The purpose of this study is to identify whether nurses project sympathy or empathy while providing end-of-life care. it also aims to determine their lived experiences while proving care at this stage. Methodology: This study utilized the mixed convergent parallel design wherein both the quantitative research and qualitative research were employed. Result and Discussion: A factor analysis was conducted on 12 items with maximum likelihood extraction method and oblique (Promax) rotation method. The Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) measure verified the sampling adequacy for the analysis, KMO = 0.792 (“meritorious” according to Kaiser (1974)). Bartlett’s Test of Sphericity (χ2 (66) = 1007.294, p α = 0.881, sympathy α = 0.804, and cognitive empathy α = 0.728). Correlations among the factors were r = 0.315 for affective empathy and sympathy, r = 0.295 for sympathy and cognitive empathy, and r = 0.356 for affective empathy and cognitive empathy. Emergent key themes and subthemes are based on participants’ responses. The key themes are heart-touching moments of nurses in providing end-of-life care, challenges encountered by nurses in providing end-of-life care and adaptive strategies used by nurses to the challenges they face in providing end-of-life care. Conclusion: Most nurses during end-of-life care express affective empathy, followed by sympathy and lastly cognitive empathy. Practice Rationale Care Model: The Art and Science of Clinical Reasoning, Decision Making and Judgment in the Nursing Process

Nurses must be enlightened that clinical reasoning, clinical decision making, and clinical judgement are the key elements in providing safe patient care. it must be incorporated and applied all throughout the nursing process. The impact of patients’ positive outcomes relies on how nurses are effective in clinical reasoning and put into action once clinical decision making occurs. Thus, nurses with poor clinical reasoning skills frequently fail to see and notice patient worsening condition, and misguided decision making arises that leads to ineffective patient care and adding patients suffering. Clinical judgment on the other hand denotes on the outcome after the cycle of clinical reasoning. Within this context, nurses apply reflection about their actions from the clinical decision making they made. The process of applying knowledge, skills and expertise in the clinical field through clinical reasoning is the work of art in the nursing profession in promoting patient safety in the course of delivering routine nursing interventions. Nurses must be guided with their sound clinical reasoning to have an optimistic outcome and prevent iatrogenic harm to patients. Nurses must be equipped with knowledge, skills, attitude and values but most importantly prepared to face the bigger picture of responsibility to care for every patient in the clinical field.

The detailed electrical conductivity measure- ment (ECM), trace chemical compositions and microparti- cles concentration analysis are performed for BH8 ice core from the depth of 126.0m to 130.0m at Vostok Station. At depth 128.7m, a volcanic signal 4726 a B.P. is detected. The volcanic sulphate flux is 95.8 kg·km?2, sulphate peak concen- tration 1352.8 ng·g?1, duration time about 10.1 years, com- parable with some well-known volcanic events. The results indicate that it seems to be a relatively large scale, long last- ing volcanic signal with farther volcanic origin.

Scientific inquiry Level of Nursing Students: Clinching Clinical Performance Expertise

Background: The status of inquisition by the nursing students shall be determined as it will be utilized as a tool to measure their clinical performance expertise as future nursing practitioners. The element of scientific inquiry is essential in providing standard fillers to give meaning to the various practical nursing gaps in the actual field, the hospital ward to be specific. Objective: This research study aims to establish the level of scientific inquiry and clinical performance of undergraduate Arab nursing students. Methods: The researcher utilized descriptive-correlational study as the research design. This is a descriptive study because it describes the level of scientific inquiry and level of clinical performance of the undergraduate Arab nursing students. Results: The finding of the study is that “the majority of the Arab student nurses demonstrate a guided inquiry in their scientific inquiry level”. Most of the Arab student nurses demonstrate a guided inquiry (?= 2.74, SD ± 0.99) in terms of their level of scientific inquiry. Largely, the Arab student nurses have proficient level in their level of clinical performance (?= 87.32, SD ± 12.36). Regression analysis revealed a no significant relationship (r2 = 0.57;adjusted r2 = 0.57;p > 0.005) between the level of scientific inquiry and clinical performance among Arab student nurses. Conclusions: The study concluded that the majority of the Arab student nurses demonstrated a guided inquiry in their scientific inquiry level and a moderately proficient level of clinical performance. Furthermore, the study concluded that the level of scientific inquiry was not significantly related to clinical performance.

Nurses’ Care Approach (NCAp): Connecting Differences to islamic Believer Patients in the Arab World

Background: Nursing care approaches may vary from one patient to another. in the nursing profession, nurses are imbibed with the attributes of multicultural care competencies that would empower the nurses to be adaptive and mindful of how they provide and go with their carative nursing managements. This would entail that the non-Muslim nurses must be aware and be sensitive enough in their approaches and communicative exchanges with their Muslim patients. Objective: The study aims to identify the care approaches given by non-Muslim nurses working in the Arab world and how they elicit and provide a universal approach in caring Muslim patients. Methods: The study utilized a mixed methodology, specifically the explanatory sequential design, which involved a descriptive-comparative quantitative research design and eidetic qualitative research design. Results: Based on the result with the highest mean 3.63%, the respondents strongly agree that the non-Muslim nurse is aware of her own culture, 3.60% strongly agree that the non-Muslim Nurse does not discriminate the decisions of the patients regardless of gender, race, culture or belief and 3.58% still strongly agree that the non-Muslim nurse encourages patients to communicate as need arises. Here are three themes emerged from the study: understanding and respect of cultures, caring across borders, and caring calmness. in connecting the differences, non-Muslim nurses must be aware of their own culture, must not discriminate the decisions of the patients regardless of gender, race, culture or belief and must encourages patients to communicate as need arises. Conclusion: Knowing and understanding the scope of nursing practice with a high regard of respect to patients without discrimination will promote and provide holistic, safe and high-quality nursing care.
