This work is meant to design a roll controller for a short range missile with a free-spinning tail using the sliding mode control *** canards located near the nose of the missile provide aerodynamic ***/yaw stability is achieved through four rotating fins located at the tail of the *** of the missile dictates the whole trajectory in the atmosphere where dynamic pressure varies between 0 and 7 *** the missile can be fired at different launch angles,which implies that the profile of dynamic pressure is not *** strategy strongly depends on dynamic pressure in the case of canard-controlled *** the case of varying dynamic pressure,design of a robust roll controller that can keep roll angle near zero is a challenging *** this paper,a roll controller is designed for a canard-controlled short range missile using sliding mode control *** is done in some control parameters to cater the variation in dynamic pressure and different launch *** robustness of the roll controller is tested in the presence of aerodynamic and other *** is established that the proposed roll controller is capable of rejecting aerodynamic and other disturbances and keep the roll angle close to zero.

introduction: Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) is a public health problem. There are 100 to 140 million girls and women who suffer every year in the world [1]. The aim of this study is to improve the medical care and reduce complications of FGM at the Regionalhospital of N’zérékoré, to determine their frequency, and to evaluate the maternal-fetalprognosis. Methods: The study was conducted at the Regional Hospital of N’zérékoré. This was a cross-sectional, descriptive and analytic study of 6 months, from 1 September 2016 to 28 February 2017, including all pregnant women admitted for childbirth who had a complication of female genital mutilation. Results: A total of 1295 women gave birth in the service, of which 1204 women were women with female genital mutilation. Given a frequency of 92.97%, of these 1204 mutilated women, 223 presented obstetrical complications during their delivery, a proportion of 17.22%. They were mostly young patients, mostly housewives who were not in school. Type ii FGM was the most common (53.06%). Obstetric complications were dominated by complicated perinatal tears (54.08%), and hemorrhages (40.81%). The catch was dominated by perineorrhaphy. Conclusion: The frequency of FGM was 92.97% and that of their obstetric complications 17.22%. Most were house-wives, not in school. There was FGM type ii. The abandonment of FGM would reduce maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality.

A Radial Basis Function Method with improved Accuracy for Fourth Order Boundary Value Problems

Accurately approximating higher order derivatives is an inherently difficult problem. it is shown that a random variable shape parameter strategy can improve the accuracy of approximating higher order derivatives with Radial Basis Function methods. The method is used to solve fourth order boundary value problems. The use and location of ghost points are examined in order to enforce the extra boundary conditions that are necessary to make a fourth-order problem well posed. The use of ghost points versus solving an overdetermined linear system via least squares is studied. For a general fourth-order boundary value problem, the recommended approach is to either use one of two novel sets of ghost centers introduced here or else to use a least squares approach. When using either ghost centers or least squares, the random variable shape parameter strategy results in significantly better accuracy than when a constant shape parameter is used.

This work focused on the influence of TiC reinforcing particles on the tribological properties of titanium matrix composites(TMCs)with open porosity,processed by spark plasma sintering(SPS).Materials composed of an equimolar mixture of Ti and TiH2 with 0,3,10 and 30 vol.% of TiC were sintered at 850 ℃.Nanoindentation and wear tests were carried out to assess the nanohardness and the wear resistance in a tribometer with a reciprocating sliding ball-on-flat *** showed a nanohardness increment from 5 to 14 GPa with increasing TiC *** coefficient of friction(CoF)showed a minimum of 0.2 for 10% TiC grade,which also showed the lowest wear *** the low TiC content sample,adhesive wear with severe plastic deformation was ***,medium content TiC sample showed a mechanical mixed layer(MML),whereas high TiC content composite showed abrasive as the main wear *** conclusion,the wear mechanisms,CoFs and wear volume changed with TiC content.

A preliminary model is proposed to describe quantitatively the position and movement of cusp equatorward boundary. This integrated model, consisting of an empirical model of the magnetopause and a compressed dipolar model of Open/Closed field line, connects quantitatively the solar wind conditions, subsolar magnetopause and cusp equatorward boundary. it is shown that the increasing solar wind dynamic pressure and the increasing southward interplanetary Magnetic Field (iMF) component drive the magnetopause to move inward and the cusp equatorward. This model is adopted to interpret quantitatively the cusp movement of August 14, 2001 observed by Cluster. The results show that the subsolar magnetopause moved earthward from 10.7 Re to 9.0Re during the period of 002300-002800 UT, and correspondingly the cusp equatorward boundary shifted equatorward. The observations of Cluster C1 and C4 show the cusp equatorward boundary that Cluster C1 and C4 were crossing during same interval moved equatorward by 4.6°. The cusp equatorward boundary velocity computed in the theoretical model (10.7 km/s) is in good agreement with the observed value(9.4km/s) calculated from the data of CiS of Cluster C4 and C1.
