Highly Defective Dark TiO_(2) Modified with Pt: Effects of Precursor Nature and Preparation Method on Photocatalytic Properties

The study focused on the modification with platinum of dark defective titania obtained via pulsed laser ablation. both the method of Pt introduction and the nature of the Pt precursor were varied. All samples exhibited similar phase compositions, specific surface areas, and Pt contents. High-resolution transmission electron microscopy coupled with pulsed CO adsorption revealed increased dispersity when photoreduction and the hydroxonitrate complex (Me _(4) N) _(2) [Pt _(2) (OH) _(2) (NO _(3) ) _(8) ] were used. The sample featured a high content of single-atom species and subnano-sized Pt clusters. The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy results showed that the photoreduction method facilitated the appearance of a larger number of Pt ^(2+) states, which appeared owing to the strong metal-support interaction (SMSi) eff ect of the transfer of electron density from the electron-saturated defects on the TiO _(2) surface to Pt ^(4+) . in the hydrogen evolution reaction, samples with a significant fraction of the Pt ^(2+) ionic component, capable of generating short-lived Pt^(0) single-atom sites under irradiation due to the SMSi eff ect, exhibited the highest photocatalytic activity. The 0.5Pt(C)/TiO_(2) -Ph sample exhibited the highest hydrogen yield with a quantum efficiency of 0.53, retaining its activity even after 8 h of operation.

Kinetics and mechanism of the low-energy b-a phase transition of the second kind in 2,4-dinitroanisole

in this work,comprehensive studies of 2,4-dinitroanisole(2,4DNAN)were carried out using powder thermorentgenography of the internal *** time of the complete polymorphic transition in the solid phase b/a in 2,4DNAN under various combinations of conditions has been *** has been established that,regardless of the season of manufacture of the substance,when it is stored for 8e9 months,with a change in ambient temperature from minus 30℃ to plus 30℃,a complete polymorphic transition b/a *** stored in conditions below minus 5℃,polymorphic transition does not *** stored in conditions above plus 30℃ in a closed container,polymorphic transition occurs within 3 *** polymorphic transition is accompanied by a decrease in density by 1.3%e1.5%and an increase in melting temperature by 10-12℃,depending on the degree of purity of the starting *** activation energy of the molecular rearrangement was 68e70 kJ/mol(16.5±3 kcal/mol).The mechanism of polymorphic transition has been evaluated,which is presumably based on internal homodiffusion and energy transfer to the surface of the mass of powder particles and the *** average activation energy of the polymorphic transition process was 110±6.2 kJ/mol(26.2 kcal/mol).in an open container,reactions proceed by a homogeneous mechanism,and in a closed container by a heterogeneous mechanism involving the gas phase.

background Traditional methods for monitoring mining equipment rely primarily on visual inspections,which are time-consuming,inefficient,and *** article introduces a novel approach to monitoring mission-critical systems and services in the mining industry by integrating virtual reality(vR)and digital twin(DT)***-based DTs enable remote equipment monitoring,advanced analysis of machine health,enhanced visualization,and improved decision *** This article presents an architecture for vR-based DT development,including the developmental stages,activities,and stakeholders involved.A case study on the condition monitoring of a conveyor belt using real-time synthetic vibration sensor data was conducted using the proposed *** study demonstrated the application of the methodology in remote monitoring and identified the need for further development for implementation in active mining *** article also discusses interdisciplinarity,choice of tools,computational resources,time and cost,human involvement,user acceptance,frequency of inspection,multiuser environment,potential risks,and applications beyond the mining *** The findings of this study provide a foundation for future research in the domain of vR-based DTs for remote equipment monitoring and a novel application area for vR in mining.

in this paper,the synthesis,structural evolution,and dielectric properties of baTiO_(3)solid solutions codoped with rare earth elements(Gd^(3+)and Eu^(3+))prepared using the solid-state reaction method are *** pure precursor powders of baCl_3,TiO_(2),Gd_(2)O_(3),and Eu_(2)O_(3)were mixed in stoichiometric proportions,ground in an agate mortar before being uniaxially pressed at 250 MPa and sintered at 1300℃in air atmosphere for 6 h to obtain ba_(1-3x)Gd_(2x)Ti_(1-3x)Eu_(4x)O_(3)(x=0,0.0015,0.01 and0.1).X-ray diffraction(XRD)and Rietveld's refinement results reveal the crystal phase ferroelectric tetragonal baTiO_(3)for the samples with x=0,0.0015 and 0.01,as well as a consistent increment in the lattice parameters caused by the *** solubility limit of Gd^(3+)and Eu^(3+)in the baTiO_(3)structure is reached for the sample with x>0.01,and the orthorhombic Eu_2TiO_(5)and monoclinic baTi_(2)O_(5)secondary phases were *** Raman results show the characteristic peaks of ferroelectric tetragonal baTiO_(3)around 716 cm^(-1)(LO of A1 symmetry),515 cm^(-1)(TO of A1 symmetry),and 305 cm^(-1)(b1).The maximum relative permittivity measured at 1 kHz was recorded to be 6151.8 for the sample with x=0.0015,and a decrease in the Curie temperature to 105℃with respect to the undoped sample was *** punctual microanalysis for the samples with x=0.0015,0.01,and 0.1 reveals grains composed of ba,Ti,O,Gd,and Eu homogeneously distributed in the baTiO_(3)*** ba/Ti ratios for samples with x=0.0015,0.01 and 0.1 are 2.86,2.91,and 0.68,respectively,indicating substitution at the Ti site for samples with x=0.0015 and 0.01 and a substitution at the ba site for the sample with x=0.1.

Magnetic films with low Gilbert damping are crucial for magnonic devices,which provide a promising platform forrealizing ultralow-energy *** this study,low Gilbert damping and coercive field were observed in bi/in-dopedyttrium iron garnet(biin:YiG)thin *** biin:YiG(444)films were deposited onto different substrates using pulsedlaser *** coercivity(ith saturation magnetization of 125.09 emu/cc was achieved along the in-planedirection of biin:YiG *** values of Gilbert damping and inhomogeneous broadening of ferromagnetic resonance inbiin:YiG films were obtained to be as low as 4.05×10^(-4)and 5.62 Oe,*** addition to low damping,the giantFaraday rotation angles(up to 2.9×10^(4)deg/cm)were also observed in the biin:YiG *** modifying the magneticstructure and coupling effect between bi^(3+)and Fe^(3+)of bi:YiG,doped in^(3+)plays a key role on variation of the *** low damping and giant Faraday effect made the biin:YiG film an appealing candidate for magnonic andmagneto-optical devices.

The paper presents the results of the sterlet sturgeon Acipenser ruthenus reintroduction into the Kama Reservoir(Perm Krai,Russia)by sterlet fry from hatcheries into the reservoir since *** effectiveness of hatchery releases was evaluated by monitoring gillnet sampling *** results showed that the species was reported throughout entire Kama Reservoir,which contrasts with 1988-1994 data,when the species was registered only at the upper part of the reservoir near the Kama River *** highest number and biomass values of catch per unit effort(CPUE)of the sterlet were found in submerged river channels-the deepest habitats with flow conditions which are close to the ecological requirements of the *** distribution of the sterlet within the channel biotopes of the reservoir is defined by reduced *** biggest individuals and the widest size range of the sterlet were typical for the upper area of the reservoir and Chusovskoy bay,which have the greatest *** smallest sizes were typical for fish from catches near the dam of the reservoir,which is consistent with the published data on the distribution of sterlet in reservoir *** presented results may indicate the artificial formation of the sterlet stock in the Kama Reservoir maintained by hatchery *** revealed distribution of the sterlet in the reservoir determines the direction of further research on natural reproduction and thus formation of an artificially formed ***,future studies are required to assess the possibility of hybridization of the sterlet of artificial origin with natural populations of the species,since the low genetic diversity of the sterlet released into the Kama Reservoir which can lead to irreversible loss of genetic individuality of the natural stocks of the species in the catchment of upper course of the Kama River.

Red blood cells(RbCs)are the most abundant human blood *** aggregation and deformation strongly determine blood viscosity which impacts hemorheology and *** turn,RbC properties depend on di®erent endogenous and exogenous *** such factor is nitric oxide(NO),which is mainly produced by endothelial cells(EC)from L-arginine amino acid in the circulatory *** the mechanisms of the RbC-endothelium interplay are not clear up to date and considering its possible clinical importance,the aims of this study are to investigate in vitro:(1)The e®ect of L-arginine induced NO on RbC aggregation and adhesion to endothelium;(2)the NO e®ect on RbC aggregation and deformation induced by L-arginine and sodium nitroprusside without the presence of endothelium in the *** RbC aggregation and adhesion to a monolayer of EC were studied using optical tweezers(OT).The RbC deformability and aggregation without endothelium in the samples were studied using the°ow chamber method and Myrenne *** con¯rmed that NO increases deformability and decreases aggregation of *** showed that the soluble guanylate cyclase pathway appears to be the only NO signaling pathway *** the samples with the endothelium,the\bell-shaped"dependence of RbC aggregation force on L-arginine concentration was observed,which improves our knowledge about the process of NO production by ***,data related to L-arginine accumulation by endothelium were obtained:Necessity of the presence of extracellular L-arginine stated by other authors was put under *** our study,NO decreased the RbC-endothelium adhesion,however,the tendency appeared to be weak and was not con¯rmed in another set of *** our knowledge,this is the¯rst attempt to measure the forces of RbC adhesion to endothelium monolayer with OT.
