The present study assessed the pro.i.ate co.po.i.i.n,i. vi.ro.anti.xi.ant acti.i.y and GC-MS analyses o. fermented Pentaclethra macro.hylla seeds extract(FPMSE).The i. vi.ro.anti.xi.ant acti.i.y was assessed usi.g 2,2-di.henyl-1-pi.rylhydrazl(DPPH)whi.e Gas Chro.ato.raphy-Mass Spectro.ho.o.etry(GC-MS)techni.ue was used to.i.enti.y the vo.ati.e co.po.nds i. *** revealed a do.e dependent percentage i.hi.i.i.n o. the extract o. DPPH *** co.po.i.i.n o. FPMSE co.sti.utes respecti.ely;ash(0.33±0.12%),pro.ei.(2.19±0.08%),fats and o.0}(80.60±0.00%),carbo.ydrate(16.88±0.00%)whi.e mo.0}ture and fi.re were no. ***,the pulveri.ed sample co.sti.ute respecti.ely;ash(1.27±0.58%),pro.ei.(10.51±0.60%),mo.0}ture(8.27±0.12%),fats and o.0}(32.33±0.12%),fi.re(7.27±0.12%)and carbo.ydrate(40.35±0.00%).GC-MS analyses revealed fo.rteen(14)fatty aci.s i.cludi.g o.tadecano.0} aci.(1.95%),Benzylo.ymethyli.i.e(43.89%),2-Allylpent-4-eno.0} aci. benzyl ester(26.25%),Hexadecano.0} aci.,methyl ester(1.09%),o.ei. Aci.(0.25%),9,12-o.tadecadi.no.0} aci.,methyl ester(o.ega-6-fatty aci.)(1.52%).The bi.acti.e co.po.nds i.enti.i.d i. (So.ti.an? 142) separately structured wi.h Pho.pho.i.o.? 90G (P90G) as po.enti.l deli.ery systems fo. po.rly water so.uble drugs.Metho.sThe structured li.i. matri.es were characteri.ed by di.ferenti.l scanni.g calo.i.etry (DSC) and emplo.ed to.prepare so.i. li.i. mi.ro.arti.les (SLMs) by the melt ho.o.eni.ati.n metho. usi.g gradi.nt co.centrati.ns o. po.yso.bate 80 and at di.ferent emulsi.i.ati.n ti.es o. 2, 5 and 10 mi. usi.g a Si.verso. mi.er. The SLMs were analyzed fo. mo.pho.o.y and parti.le si.e, thermal pro.erti.s, stabi.i.y studi.s and determi.ati.n o. i.jectabi.i.y.ResultsThe results sho.ed that SLM pro.ucti.n was o.ti.um at 5 % o. li.i. matri.es, 1.5 % o. po.yso.bate 80 and emulsi.i.ati.n ti.e o. 5 mi.. i.crease i. po.yso.bate 80 co.centrati.ns decreased the parti.le si.e o. the SLMs. The SLMs were well fo.med, spheri.al, smo.th and no.-po.o.s wi.h parti.le si.es i. the ranges o. (13.90 ± 2.10) μm - (0.09 ± 0.01) μm fo. SLMs pro.uced fro. the structured - tallo. fat; (13.40 ± 1.30) μm - (0.10 ± 0.01) μm fo. the structured - go.t fat and (13.40±2.00) μm - (2.10± 1.00)μm fo. the structured So.ti.an? 142 li.i. matri.es. DSC traces sho.ed that So.ti.an? 142 was the mo.t crystalli.e o. all three bulk matri.es due to.i.s hi.h enthalpy (?7.962 mW/mg) whi.e tallo. fat was the least (?5.067 mW/mg) but addi.i.n o. P90G to.the matri.es lo.ered thei. enthalpi.s mo.tly i. the structured go.t fat matri.es. Fi.e underuti.i.ed tradi.i.nal leafy vegetables (TLVs) o. so.theast Ni.eri. were assessed by standard metho.s to.determi.e thei. physi.chemi.al and anti.xi.ant values. These TLVs were Abelmo.chus esculentus (L.) Mo.ench (o.ra), Ageratum co.yzo.0}es Li.n (Go.t weed), Acanthus mo.tanus (Ness) T. Anders. (Leo.ard’s to.gue), Bo.bax buo.o.o.ense P. Beauv. (Kapo. Tree) and Mucuna flagelli.es (Devi. bean). Results sho.ed that the leaves o. Bo.bax buo.o.o.ense and Abelmo.chus esculentus co.tai.ed appreci.ble amo.nts o. pro.ei., fat, fi.re, carbo.ydrate and mi.eral elements, and generally lo. level o. to.i.ants. Furthermo.e, the anti.o.i.ant co.tents o. the fi.e TLVs hi.hli.hted thei. bi.lo.i.al values as medi.i.al plants wi.h the hi.h po.ency i. fi.hti.g di.eases. Parti.i.ants and Metho.s: Thi. was a ho.pi.al based pro.pecti.e study carri.d o.t fro. August to.o.to.er 2020 at the blo.d transfusi.n uni. o. the Lago. State Uni.ersi.y Teachi.g Ho.pi.al (LASUTH), i.eja, Ni.eri.. A structured pretested questi.nnai.e was used fo. data co.lecti.n. The so.i. demo.raphi. status and the haemato.o.y parameters o. apparently healthy pro.pecti.e who.e blo.d do.o.s who.tested negati.e fo. Hi., hepati.i. B and C markers were captured. o.tai.ed data were analysed wi.h the stati.ti.al package fo. the so.i.l sci.nti.t so.tware versi.n 20. Results: o.e hundred male (97.1%) and three female (2.9%) apparently healthy pro.pecti.e who.e blo.d do.o.s were studi.d. The medi.n age o. study subjects was 30 years. o.tai.ed medi.n haemato.o.y parameter values were 13 g/dl, 40%, 4.9/nl and 203.9/nl fo. haemo.lo.i. co.centrati.n, haemato.ri., to.al whi.e cell and platelet co.nts respecti.ely. The medi.n values fo. the mean co.puscular haemo.lo.i. co.centrati.n (MCHC), mean co.puscular haemo.lo.i. (MCH) and mean co.puscular vo.ume (MCV) o. parti.i.ants were 32.6 g/dl, 27.7 pg and 85.7 fl respecti.ely. o.served prevalence o. subno.mal haemato.o.y parameters fo. haemo.lo.i. co.centrati.n, to.al whi.e cells, platelets were 12.6%, 25.2%, and 13.6% respecti.ely.
