Thi. study i.vesti.ates the i.fluence of CaO(0.5,1(wt.%))alloyi.g on the mi.rostructural evoluti.n,texture development and deformati.n behavi.r of AZ61 magnesi.m *** uni.xi.l tensi.n tests at room(RT)and cryogeni.(CT,-150℃)temperature were performed to i.vesti.ate the twi.abi.i.y and di.locati.n behavi.r and i.s consequent effect on flow stress,ducti.i.y and strai. hardeni.g *** results showed that the AZ61-1CaO exhi.i.ed superi.r strength/ducti.i.y synergy at RT wi.h a yi.ld strength(YS)of 223 MPa and a ducti.i.y of 23% as compared to AZ61(178 MPa,18.5%)and AZ61-0.5CaO(198 MPa,21%).Si.i.ar trend was wi.nessed for all the samples duri.g CT deformati.n,where i.crease i. the YS and decrease i. ducti.i.y were *** Mtex tools based i.-grai. mi.ori.ntati.n axi.(i.MA)analysi. of RT deformed samples revealed the hi.her acti.i.i.s of pri.mati. sli. i.
