Symmetry-aware recursive image similarity exploration for materials microscopy

In pursuit of scientific discovery,vast collections of unstructured structural and functional images are acquired;however,only an infinitesimally small fraction of this data is rigorously analyzed,with an even smaller fraction ever being *** method to accelerate scientific discovery is to extract more insight from costly scientific experiments already ***,data from scientific experiments tend only to be accessible by the originator who knows the experiments and ***,there are no robust methods to search unstructured databases of images to deduce correlations and ***,we develop a machine learning approach to create image similarity projections to search unstructured image *** improve these projections,we develop and train a model to include symmetry-aware *** an exemplar,we use a set of 25,133 piezoresponse force microscopy images collected on diverse materials systems over five *** demonstrate how this tool can be used for interactive recursive image searching and exploration,highlighting structural similarities at various length *** tool justifies continued investment in federated scientific databases with standardized metadata schemas where the combination of filtering and recursive interactive searching can uncover synthesis-structure-property *** provide a customizable open-source package(https://***/m3-learning/Recursive_Symmetry_Aware_Materials_Microstructure_Explorer)of this interactive tool for researchers to use with their data.

In this perspective,we have highlighted the current literature and explained the synthesis,structure,morphology,modification strategies,and photocatalytic applications of emerging BiPO_(4)-based *** BiPO_(4)is a large bandgap photocatalyst,it uses UV light for the excitation of electrons,and also,the recombination of charge carriers is an issue in BiPO_(4).Various novel modification strategies of BiPO_(4)photocatalysts *** modifications,heterojunction formation,phase-junctions,surface plasmon resonance,Schottky junction have been successfully proposed and *** modifications enhance the light absorption and inhibit the recombination of charge carriers BiPO_(4)***,future aspects for further research on BiPO_(4)-based photocatalysts are also *** expects that BiPO_(4)-based photocatalysts represent a promising strategy for developing practical photocatalysts for energy and environmental remediation applications.

Assessment of Livelihood Vulnerability to Drought: A Case Study in Dak nong Province, Vietnam

In recent years,droughts have strongly affected the Central Highlands of Vietnam and have resulted in crop damage,yield decline,and serious water *** study investigated the livelihood vulnerability of five communities of farmers who are exposed to droughts in one of the more vulnerable regions of Vietnam—Dak nong Province.A survey of 250 households was conducted in the five communities to collect data on the region’s sociodemographic profile,livelihood systems,social networks,health status,food and water security,drought conditions,and climate *** were aggregated using a livelihood vulnerability index and the IPCC vulnerability *** survey results indicate that Quang Phu community is the most vulnerable of the study’s communities,followed by nam n’dir,Dak nang,Duc Xuyen,and Dak D’ro in descending order of *** availability and livelihood strategies are the most important variables in determining the vulnerability of the five surveyed *** order to reduce vulnerability to droughts,water management practices and livelihood diversification in farming and nonfarming activities are recommended for the study area.

Environmental and External Costs of Yali Hydropower Plant and Policy Recommendations in Vietnam

The purpose of this study is to estimate the monetary value of the main environmental and external costs of Yali Hydropower Plant (YHPP) and to incorporate them into the financial viability indices of the plant, namely its net present value and electricity price. The results were found that if the electricity price is kept at its original level of 5.2 US cents/kWh to cover direct costs only, the net present value of the plant would be reduced to about 27% by incorporating environmental and external costs. Alternatively, the electricity price would have to be increased to 5.68 US cents/kWh in order to cover the full costs of YHPP and to maintain the original net present value. The main policy recommendations are: Government regulations should require that the financial analysis and appraisal of all future electricity sources include the full cost of these schemes, including not only direct costs but also environmental and external costs related to preventing or mitigating the environmental impact caused by them. An appropriate financial mechanism should be established to allocate the revenue from full cost electricity pricing to a fund to cover the environmental protection and compensation costs.

Soil Respiration, Microbial Biomass and nutrient Availability in Soil After Addition of Residues with Adjusted n and P Concentrations

Microbial activity and nutrient release are known to be influenced by organic matter properties,but it is difficult to separate the effect of C/n ratio from that of C/P ratio because in most plant residues both ratios are either high or *** incubation experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of reducing the C/n and C/P ratios of slowly decomposable plant residues(young eucalyptus leaves,mature wheat straw,and sawdust) to those of rapidly decomposable residues(young kikuyu shoots) on soil respiration,microbial biomass,and n and P *** C/n and C/P ratios of the former were adjusted to 15 and 89,respectively,by adding n as(nH_4)_2SO_4,P as KH_2PO_4 or both and residues were added at 10 g C kg-1 to a silt *** respiration was measured over21 d;microbial biomass C(MBC) and available n and P were measured on days 0,7,and *** to the unamended soil,addition of kikuyu increased cumulative respiration 20-fold,MBC concentration 4 to 8-fold,and available P concentration up to4-fold,whereas the increase in available n concentration was small and *** respiration and MBC concentration were low in the sawdust-amended soil and were not influenced by reducing the C/n and C/P *** respiration with original wheat and eucalyptus was 30%-40%of that with *** the C/n ratio alone or both C/n and C/P ratios increased cumulative respiration and MBC concentration 2-fold compared to the original wheat and eucalyptus,whereas reducing the C/P ratio had little *** the experiment,the available n concentration after addition of residues with reduced C/n ratio increased in the following order of eucalyptus ndependently lowering the C/n and C/P ratios,microbial activity was more limited by C and n than ***,lowering the C/n ratio of very slowly decomposable sawdust had no effect on soil respiration and MBC concentration,suggesting that other properties such as concentration of poor

共享单车作为一种与时俱进的新鲜产物,不仅让都市生活者出行变得更加方便,更减少了城市交通和环保压力,符合人们所倡导的绿色出行的生活理念。随着去年9月份之后,摩拜单车和ofo等共享类型产品的访问用户量以及页面浏览量的突飞猛进,市场占有量的呈现指数急速攀升,直接说明了共享单车用户数量和使用数量的大面积提升。随之也带来了共享单车发展过程的诸多问题。本次研究将以上海市各区的共享单车两大供应商ofo与摩拜为研究对象,采用大量的统计数据、采访、问卷调查的形式,总结出共享单车发展过程当中的瓶颈,并分析出深层次的原因以及提出相关意见,帮助企业和政府部门制定相关规范,以期达到规范共享单车运营的目的,使共享单车的服务更加文明、有序。

Evaluation of high yielding soybean germplasm under water limitation

Limited information is available for soybean root traits and their plasticity under drought stress. To date, no studies have focused on examining diverse soybean germ- plasm for regulation of shoot and root response under water limited conditions across varying soil types. In this study, 17 genetically diverse soybean germplasm lines were selected to study root response to water limited conditions in clay （trial 1） and sandy soil （trial 2） in two target environments. Physiological data on shoot traits was measured at multiple crop stages ranging from early vegetative to pod filling. The phenotypic root traits, and biomass accumulation data are collected at pod filling stage. In trial 1, the number of lateral roots and forks were positively correlated with plot yield under water limitation and in trial 2, lateral root thickness was positively correlated with the hill plot yield. Plant Introduction （PI） 578477A and 088444 were found to have higher later root number and forks in clay soil with higher yield under water limitation, in sandy soil, P1458o2o was found to have a thicker lateral root system and higher yield under water limitation. The genotypes identified in this study could be used to enhance drought tolerance of elite soybean cultivars through improved root traits specific to target environments.

Conductivity s and thermal conductivity k are directly related to carrier concentration while Seebeck coefficient S is inversely proportional to carrier ***,improving thermoelectric(TE)performance is ***,the first-time analysis of secondary phase-controlled TE performance in terms of density-of-state effective mass m*d,weighted mobility mw and quality factor B is discussed in ZnO *** results show that the secondary spinel phase Ga2O_(3)(ZnO)9 not only impacts on k but also on s and S at high temperature,while the effect of carrier concentration seem to be dominant at low *** the high-spinel-segregation sample,a compensation of dopant atoms from the spinel to substitutional sites in the ZnO matrix at high temperature leads to a low decreased rate of temperaturedependent m**** compensation process also induces a band sharpening,a small mw reduction,and a large B *** a result,In and Ga co-doped ZnO bulk with the highest spinel segregation achieves the greatest PF improvement by 112.8%,owing to enhanced Seebeck coefficient by 110%as compared to the good Zn-substitution sample.

佛教孝道思想主要是“孝是报恩父母”,“报孝是实行作善业行为”,“孝是维持社会程序”。其内涵不仅是子女对父母孝顺,尊敬,责任,而且也是双方的责任,互惠,互敬,互爱。而这些思想很早就已传播到中国、越南,并随着其他佛教理论一起扎根繁衍。就越南的佛教传入而言,同样是出于同化本土文化与思想的目的。从广义上说,佛教思想具有其自身灵活性。所以,不管流传到哪个国家,为了适应当地文化、符合社会的需要,都有着自身的融合与变化,与佛教孝道思想一样。佛教盂兰盆节也是经历漫长的岁月的传承与演化。因此,与当地民族文化及思想观念存在许多相同与差异之处。中国是盂兰盆节的发源地,在这儿盂兰盆节本是代表中国佛教孝道思想。但是经过漫长时间,盂兰盆节被认为是解救亡身父母,祖先与饿鬼成为民间超度先人的节日。另外也被误解是中元节,鬼节。而越南虽然存在同样的节日形式,但是其节日内涵也衍变成首先跟现时父母报恩报孝,然后才是给亡身父母、祖先超度报孝与思念。目前,盂兰盆节成为越南的“报孝节日”。基于此,本文通过对佛教盂兰盆节的孝道思想、文化因素及其现代价值问题的研究,希望对当今社会孝道的发展。对人们在现代社会中如何行孝起到一定的积极作用。从此,笔者希望通过论述佛教孝道思想与分析和揭示了其孝道文化中的精华,探究其思想在中越国两国之间的传统文化和现代社会中的根基性作用。通过结合当今社会实践,开掘佛教孝道观念存在的价值。并希望一些想了解在巴利文中佛教的孝道思想与中越佛盂兰盆节教孝道思想的人能够分清楚两者思想的相同与差异的原因之处及以期对佛教研究有所裨益。
