Circulating metabolites difference in type 2 diabetes patients from regions:a cross-sectional study

Background:Type 2 diabetes(T2D)has already become a global *** its simple,rapid,economical,and relatively non-invasive,metabolic markers have become a method for T2D ***,region,race,and diet all affect the metabolism of the *** purpose of current study is to explore the differences of metabolites in T2D patients from ***:We recruited 103 T2D patients in two clinical centers,including 52 T2D patients from Beijing(T2D_(B))and 51 T2D patients from Kaifeng(T2D_(K)).The serum samples from T2D patients were analyzed using high-resolution mass *** screened using univariate and multivariate analysis,the differential metabolites were ***,to reveal biological information,we performed pathway analysis with the differential ***:Thirty-six differential metabolites were identified,including 16 metabolites were higher concentrations while 20 metabolites were lower concentrations in the serum of T2D_(B) patients than T2D_(K) *** were higher serum concentrations of L-phenylalanine,4-methyl-2-oxovaleric acid,L-carnitine,decanoylcarnitine,9-decenoylcarnitine and sphinganine in T2D_(B) patients,in which decanoylcarnitine in T2D_(B) patients was up to 35-fold higher than T2D_(K) *** there were lower concentrations of L-valine,L-isoleucine,arachidonic acid,oleic acid,16-hydroxyhexadecanoic acid,lysophosphatidylcholine(18:0)and 1-Phenylethylamine in T2D_(B) patients,in which 1-phenylethylamine in T2D_(B) patients was decreased to 0.45-fold lower than T2D_(K) *** reason for the differences might be that phosphatidylethanolamine biosynthesis,phosphatidylcholine biosynthesis,valine,leucine and isoleucine degradation,and beta-oxidation of very long chain fatty acids were different in T2D_(B) patients and in T2D_(K) ***:Metabolites from different pathways are independently related to regions,providing valuable insight and potential for the diagnosis and treatment

Degradation of o-dichlorobenzene by DBD-NTP co-modified titanium gel catalyst

In order to study the degradation process of dioxins in industrial flue gas,the decomposition of o-dichlorobenzene(o-DCB)in a DBD plasma catalytic reactor was *** results showed that an NTP-catalyzed system,especially using the Cu Mn Ti Oxcatalyst,had better o-DCB degradation performance compared to plasma *** combination of the Cu Mn Ti Oxcatalyst with NTP can achieve a degradation efficiency of up to 97.2%for o-DCB;the selectivity of CO and CO_(2)and the carbon balance were 40%,45%,and 85%,*** dielectric constant and electrical property results indicated that the surface discharge capacity of the catalysts played a major role in the degradation of o-DCB,and a higher dielectric constant could suppress the plasma expansion and enhance the duration of the plasma discharge per discharge *** to the O1s XPS and O_(2)-TPD results,the conversion of CO to CO_(2)follows the M-v-K mechanism;thus,the active species on the catalyst surface play an important ***,the Cu Mn Ti Oxand NTP mixed system exhibited excellent stability,which is probably because Cu doping improved the lifetime of the *** work can provide an experimental and theoretical basis for research in the degradation of o-DCB by plasma catalyst systems.

Mitochondrial dysfunction is a hallmark feature of cellular senescence and organ ***,we asked whether the mitochondrial antiviral signaling protein(MAVS),which is essential for driving antiviral response,also regulates human stem cell *** answer this question,we used CRISPR/Cas9-mediated gene editing and directed differentiation techniques to generate various MAVS-knockout human stem cell *** found that human mesenchymal stem cells(hMSCs)were sensitive to MAVS deficiency,as manifested by accelerated senescence *** uncovered that the role of MAVS in maintaining mitochondrial structural integrity and functional homeostasis depends on its interaction with the guanosine triphosphatase optic atrophy type 1(OPA1).Depletion of MAVS or OPA1 led to the dysfunction of mitochondria and cellular senescence,whereas replenishment of MAVS or OPA1 in MAVS-knockout hMSCs alleviated mitochondrial defects and premature senescence *** together,our data underscore an uncanonical role of MAVS in safeguarding mitochondrial homeostasis and antagonizing human stem cell senescence.

Mutual Information Maximization via Joint Power Allocation in Integrated Sensing and Communications System

In this paper, we focus on the power allocation of Integrated Sensing and Communication(ISAC) with orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM) waveform. In order to improve the spectrum utilization efficiency in ISAC, we propose a design scheme based on spectrum sharing, that is,to maximize the mutual information(MI) of radar sensing while ensuring certain communication rate and transmission power constraints. In the proposed scheme, three cases are considered for the scattering off the target due to the communication signals,as negligible signal, beneficial signal, and interference signal to radar sensing, respectively, thus requiring three power allocation schemes. However,the corresponding power allocation schemes are nonconvex and their closed-form solutions are unavailable as a consequence. Motivated by this, alternating optimization(AO), sequence convex programming(SCP) and Lagrange multiplier are individually combined for three suboptimal solutions corresponding with three power allocation schemes. By combining the three algorithms, we transform the non-convex problem which is difficult to deal with into a convex problem which is easy to solve and obtain the suboptimal solution of the corresponding optimization problem. Numerical results show that, compared with the allocation results of the existing algorithms, the proposed joint design algorithm significantly improves the radar performance.

Core shift limitation in investment casting process of hollow turbine blade

The deviation in wall thickness caused by core shift during the investment casting process significantly impacts the strength and service life of hollow turbine *** address this issue,a core shift limitation method is developed in this ***,a shift model is established based on computational fluid dynamics and motion simulation to predict the movement of the ceramic core in investment casting ***,utilizing this model,an optimization method for fixturing layout inside the refractory ceramic shell is devised for the ceramic *** casting experiment demonstrates that by utilizing the optimized fixture layout,not only can core shift during the investment casting pouring process be effectively controlled,but also the maximum wall thickness error of the blade can be reduced by 42.02%.In addition,the core shift prediction is also validated,with a prediction error of less than 26.9%.

Inhibiting shuttle effect of lithium polysulfides by double metal selenides for high-performance lithium-sulfur batteries

Lithium-sulfur batteries(LSBs)have attracted the attention of more and more researchers due to the advantages of high energy density,environmental friendliness,and low production ***,the low electronic conductivity of active material and shuttling effect of lithium polysulfides(LiPSs)limit the commercial development of *** solve these problems,we design a core-shell composite with nitrogen-doped carbon(NC)and two types of selenides(FeSe_(2)-NC@ZnSe-NC).The FeSe_(2)-NC@ZnSe-NC has a strong adsorption capacity,and can effectively adsorb *** the same time,it also effectively alleviates the shuttling effect of LiPSs,and improves the utilization of the active substance during the charge/discharge reaction *** mechanism involved in FeSe_(2)-NC@ZnSe-NC is demonstrated by both experiments and density-functional theory(DFT)*** electrochemical test results indicate that LSB with S/FeSe_(2)-NC@ZnSe-NC delivers an initial discharge capacity of 1260 mAh·g^(-1)at *** after 500 cycles at 1C,the capacity decay rate per cycle is 0.031%,and the capacity retention rate is 85%.The FeSe_(2)-NC@ZnSe-NC core-shell structure verifies a rational strategy to construct an electrode material for high-performance LSBs.

Recently,weak supervision has received growing attention in the field of salient object detection due to the convenience of ***,there is a large performance gap between weakly supervised and fully supervised salient object detectors because the scribble annotation can only provide very limited foreground/background ***,an intuitive idea is to infer annotations that cover more complete object and background regions for *** this end,a label inference strategy is proposed based on the assumption that pixels with similar colours and close positions should have consistent ***,k-means clustering algorithm was first performed on both colours and coordinates of original annotations,and then assigned the same labels to points having similar colours with colour cluster centres and near coordinate cluster ***,the same annotations for pixels with similar colours within each kernel neighbourhood was set *** experiments on six benchmarks demonstrate that our method can significantly improve the performance and achieve the state-of-the-art results.
