2D–3D dual carbon layer confined ultrasmall VN nanoparticles for improving lithium-ion storage in hybrid capacitors

lithium-ion capacitors(liCs) of achieving high power and energy density have garnered significant attention. However, the kinetics unbalance between anode and cathode can impede the application of liCs. Vanadium nitride(VN) with a high theoretical specific capacity(~ 1200 m Ah·g^(-1)) is a better pseudocapacitive anode to match the response of cathode in liCs. However, the insertion/extraction of li-ions in VN's operation results in significant volume expansion. Herein, the VN/N-r GO-5composite that three-dimentional(3D) dicyandiamidederived-carbon(DDC) tightly wrapped VN quantum dots(VN QDTs) on two-dimentional(2D) reduced graphene oxid(r GO) was prepared by a facile strategy. The VN QDTs can reduce ion diffusion length and improve charge transfer kinetics. The 2D r GO as a template provides support for nanoparticle dispersion and improves electrical conductivity. The 3D DDC tightly encapsulated with VN QDTs mitigates agglomeration of VN particles as well as volume expansion. Correspondingly, the liCs with VN/Nr GO-5 composite as anode and activated carbon(AC) as cathode were fabricated, which exhibits a high energy density and power density. Such strategy provides a perspective for improving the electrochemical properties of liC anode materials by suppressing volume expansion and enhancing conductivity.

The Effect of Method of Constructing the Mass Distribution on Single Stellar Populations

We use two methods of constructing the initial mass distribution, the traditional way and Monte Carlo simulation, to obtain integrated U - B, B - V,V-R and V-I colours and absorption-line indices defined by the lick Observatory image dissector scanner （referred to as lick/IDS）, for instantaneous burst solarmetallicity single stellar populations with ages in the range 1-15Gyr. We find that the evolutionary curves of all colours obtained by the traditional method are smoother than those by Monte Carlo simulation, that the U- B and B- V colours obtained by the two methods agree with one another, while the V - R and V - I colours by the traditional method are bluer than those by Monte Carlo simulation.A comparison of the lick/IDS absorption-line indices shows that the variations in all the indices by the traditional method are smoother than that for the Monte Carlo simulation, and that all the indices except for TiO1 and TiO2 are consistent with those for the Monte Carlo simulation.

Nuclear collectivity in the even–even ^(164-178)Yb along the yrast line

The collective properties along the yrast line in well-deformed even–even ^(164-178)Yb isotopes are investigated by pairing self-consistent total Routhian surface(TRS) calculations and extended E-gamma over spin(EGOS) curves. The calculated results from ground-state deformations, e.g., β_2, are in agreement with previous theoretical predictions and available experimental *** basic behaviors of moment of inertia are reproduced by the present TRS calculations and discussed based on the aligned angular momenta. The centipede-like E-GOS curves indicate that the non-rotational components appear along the yrast sequences in these nuclei, which can explain the discrepancy in the moment of inertia between theory and experiment to some extent. The further extended E-GOS curves, which include the first-order rotation–vibration coupling, appear to provide possible evidence of vibrational effects in the well-deformed nuclei of ^(164-178)Yb.

We investigate the uniqueness problems of meromorphic functions and their difference operators by using a new *** is proved that if a non-constant meromorphic function f shares a non-zero constant and ∞ counting multiplicities with its difference operators Δcf(z) and Δ_(c)^(2)f(z), thenΔcf(z)≡Δ_(c)^(2)f(z).In particular,we give a difference analogue of a result of *** method has two distinct features:(ⅰ) It converts the relations between functions into the corresponding *** makes it possible to deal with the uniqueness problem by linear algebra and combinatorics.(ⅱ) It circumvents the obstacle of the difference logarithmic derivative lemma for meromorphic functions of infinite order,since this method does not depend on the growth of the ***,the idea in this paper can also be applied to the case for several variables.

Na superionic conductor(NASICON)-type La_(0.33)Ti_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)(LaTP) is firstly proposed as sodium/potassium storage *** density functional theory(DFT) calculations show that LaTP has good electronic character and low Na^(+)/K^(+)migration *** flexible La_(0.33)Ti_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)/C nanofiber film is synthesized via electrostatic spinning and investigated as free-standing electrode applied to sodium-ion batteries(SIBs) and potassiumion batteries(PIBs) in this *** low band gap and Na^(+)/K^(+) migration barriers of LaTP,unique morphology,and complete conductive carbon net allow the La_(0.33)Ti_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)/C nanofibers film to deliver high capacity(296.3 mAh·g^(-1) for SIBs and 235.8 mAh·g^(-1) for PIBs),excellent rate performance(142.5 mAh·g^(-1) for SIBs and50.5 mAh·g^(-1) for PIBs at 1.00 A·g^(-1)),and superior cyclability above 1000 *** full-cell tests show that the material has a good application prospect,indicating a promising flexible anode material for SIBs and PIBs.

Overcoming the Na-ion conductivity bottleneck for the cost-competitive chloride solid electrolytes

Chloride solid electrolytes possess multiple advantages for the construction of safe,energy-dense allsolid-state sodium batteries,but presently the chlorides with sufficiently high cost-competitiveness for commercialization almost all exhibit low Na-ion conductivities of around 10^(-5)S cm^(-1)or ***,we report a chloride solid electrolyte,Na_(2.7)ZFCl_(5.3)O_(0.7),which reaches a Na-ion conductivity of 2.29×10^(-4)S cm^(-1)at 25℃without involving overly expensive raw materials such as rare-earth chlorides or Na_(2)*** addition to the efficient ion transport,Na_(2.7)ZrCl_(5.3)O_(0.7)also shows an excellent deformability surpassing that of the widely studied Na_(3)PS_(4),Na_(3)SbS_(4),and Na_(2)ZrCl_(6)solid *** combination of these advantages allows the all-solid-state cell based on Na_(2.7)ZrCl_(5.3)O_(0.7)and NaCrO_(2)to realize stable room-temperature cycling at a much higher specific current than those based on other non-viscoelastic chloride solid electrolytes in literature(120 mA g^(-1)vs.12-55 mA g^(-1));after 100 cycles at such a high rate,the Na_(2.7)ZFCl_(5.3)O_(0.7)-based cell can still deliver a discharge capacity of 80 mAh g^(-1)at25℃.

Although domestic ducks have been important poultry species throughout human history,their origin remains enigmatic,with mallards and/or Chinese spot-billed ducks being proposed as the direct wild ancestor(s)of domestic ***,we analyzed 118 whole genomes from mallard,Chinese spotbilled,and domestic ducks to reconstruct their evolutionary *** found pervasive introgression patterns among these duck ***,we showed that domestic ducks separated from mallard and Chinese spotbilled ducks nearly 38 thousand years ago(kya)and 54 kya,respectively,which is considerably outside the time period of presumed duck ***,our results suggest that domestic ducks may have originated from another wild duck population that is currently undefined or unsampled,rather than from present-day mallard and/or Chinese spot-billed ducks,as previously ***,this study provides new insight into the complex evolution of ducks.

Artificial intelligence for the detection of glaucoma with SD-OCT images:a systematic review and Meta-analysis

●AIM:To quantify the performance of artificial intelligence(AI)in detecting glaucoma with spectral-domain optical coherence tomography(SD-OCT)images.●METHODS:Electronic databases including PubMed,Embase,Scopus,ScienceDirect,ProQuest and Cochrane library were searched before May 31,2023 which adopted AI for glaucoma detection with SD-OCT *** pieces of the literature were screened and extracted by two ***-analysis,Meta-regression,subgroup,and publication of bias were conducted by *** risk of bias assessment was performed in Revman5.4 using the QUADAS-2 tool.●RESULTS:Twenty studies and 51 models were selected for systematic review and *** pooled sensitivity and specificity were 0.91(95%CI:0.86–0.94,I2=94.67%),0.90(95%CI:0.87–0.92,I2=89.24%).The pooled positive likelihood ratio(PLR)and negative likelihood ratio(NLR)were 8.79(95%CI:6.93–11.15,I2=89.31%)and 0.11(95%CI:0.07–0.16,I2=95.25%).The pooled diagnostic odds ratio(DOR)and area under curve(AUC)were 83.58(95%CI:47.15–148.15,I2=100%)and 0.95(95%CI:0.93–0.97).There was no threshold effect(Spearman correlation coefficient=0.22,P>0.05).●CONCLUSION:There is a high accuracy for the detection of glaucoma with AI with SD-OCT *** application of AI-based algorithms allows together with“doctor+artificial intelligence”to improve the diagnosis of glaucoma.

The convenient synthesis of the composite electrode with high supercapacitance performance plays an important role in practical application but is ***,the carbon nanotubes(CNTs)coupled with lowcrystalline sulfur and nitrogen co-doped Ni Co-LDH(denoted as SN-Ni Co-LDH)nanosheets array are grown on Ni Co foam(NCF)substrate by two convenient steps of metal induced self-assembly and corrosion engineering,which present the advantages of operating at roomtemperature and low preparation *** from the S–N co-doping and low-crystallinity of Ni Co-LDH,the prepared SN-Ni Co-LDH@CNTs@NCF electrode presents a topping charge capacity of 2470 C·g^(-1)(4.94 C·cm^(-2))at 5 m A·cm^(-2).Furthermore,the fabricated asymmetry supercapacitor(ASC)achieves an extraordinary energy density of 77 Wh·kg^(-1)(0.617 m Wh·cm^(-2))at a power density of 438 W·kg^(-1)(3.5 m W·cm^(-2))and outstanding stability(91%capacity retention after 5000 cycles at20 m A·cm^(-2)).Impressively,the structure evolution of Ni Co-LDH during the charge/discharge processes has been thoroughly elucidated by in-situ Raman ***,this work verifies a powerful strategy and practical value for preparing composite electrodes with high supercapacitance performance,and also provides guidance for the rational design of the smart electrodes.

BACKGROUND Lomatogonium rotatum(LR)is traditionally used in Mongolian folk medicine as a hypoglycemic agent,but its evidence-based pharmacological effects and mechanisms of action have not been fully *** To emphasize the hypoglycemic action mechanism of LR in a type 2 diabetic rat model and examine potential biomarkers to obtain mechanistic understanding regarding serum metabolite *** A high-fat,high-sugar diet and streptozotocin injection-induced type 2 diabetic rat model was *** chemical composition of the LR was identified by high performance liquid *** extract administrated as oral gavage at 0.5 g/kg,2.5 g/kg,and 5 g/kg for 4 ***-diabetic effects of LR extract were evaluated based on histopathological examination as well as the measurement of blood glucose,insulin,glucagon-like peptide 1(GLP-1),and lipid *** metabolites were analyzed using an untargeted metabolomics *** According to a chemical analysis,swertiamarin,sweroside,hesperetin,coumarin,1.7-dihydroxy-3,8-dimethoxyl xanthone,and 1-hydroxy-2,3,5 trimethoxanone are the principal active ingredients in *** anti-diabetic experiment revealed that the LR treatment significantly increased plasma insulin and GLP-1 levels while effectively lowering blood glucose,total cholesterol,triglycerides,low-density lipoprotein cholesterol,and oral glucose tolerance test compared to the model ***,untargeted metabolomic analysis of serum samples detected 236 metabolites,among which 86 were differentially expressed between the model and the LR *** was also found that LR considerably altered the levels of metabolites such as vitamin B6,mevalonate-5P,Dproline,L-lysine,and taurine,which are involved in the regulation of the vitamin B6 metabolic pathway,selenium amino acid metabolic pathway,pyrimidine metabolic pathway,and arginine and proline metabolic *** These findings indicated that LR may have a hypoglycemic im
