Focal nodular hyperplasia of the liver in 86 patients

BACKGROUND: Focal nodular hyperplasia (FNH), the second most common benign hepatic tumor after hemangioma, is characterized by a stellate central scar and hyperplastic nodules. Although some large FNH may be associated with significant symptoms, more frequently they are discovered incidentally on physical examination or the work-up of unrelated symptoms. Since its nature and pathogenesis are still controversial, accurate diagnosis of FNH based on clinical presentation and radiographic studies is difficult. The purpose of this study was to explore the diagnosis and treatment of FNH. METHODS: Eighty-six FNH patients confirmed pathologically were treated at the Liver Cancer Institute in our hospital from 1996 to 2006. Their clinical manifestions, imaging presentation, pathological findings, and surgical results were analyzed retrospectively. RESULTS: Of the 86 patients with 99 foci, 54 were male and 32 female, with a mean age of 37 years. Eighty patients had a single solitary focus and 6 had multiple foci. Tumor diameter was less than 5 cm in 69 patients, 5-10 cm in 15, and more than 10 cm in 2. The overall rate of correct preoperative diagnosis was 59.3% (51/86) including 32.9% (26/79) by color Doppler flow imaging (CDFI), 60.3% (35/58) by CT, and 77.4% (24/31) by MRI. All the 86 patients underwent resection with good curative effect. CONCLUSIONS: CT and MRI are important diagnostic methods for FNH but it is difficult to make a definite preoperative diagnosis for partial classical and all non-classical FNH patients. We suggest that patients with clinical symptoms or with indefinite diagnosis should accept surgical removal.

Vertical gradients of neutral winds observed by ICON and estimated by the Horizontal Wind Model during the geomagnetic storm on August 26−28,2021

Construction of the porcine genome mobile element variations and investigation of its role in population diversity and gene expression

Background Mobile element variants(MEVs)have a significant and complex impact on genomic diversity and phe-notypic ***,the quantity,distribution,and relationship with gene expression and complex traits of MEVs in the pig genome remain poorly *** We constructed the most comprehensive porcine MEV library based on high-depth whole genome sequencing(WGS)data from 747 pigs across 59 breeds *** database identified a total of 147,993 poly-morphic MEVs,including 121,099 short interspersed nuclear elements(SINEs),26,053 long interspersed nuclear elements(LINEs),802 long terminal repeats(LTRs),and 39 other transposons,among which 54%are newly *** found that MEVs are unevenly distributed across the genome and are strongly influenced by negative selec-tion ***,we identified 514,530,and 584 candidate MEVs associated with population differentiation,domestication,and breed formation,*** example,a significantly differentiated MEV is located in the ATRX intron between Asian and European pigs,whereas ATRX is also differentially expressed between Asian and European pigs in muscle *** addition,we identified 4,169 expressed MEVs(eMEVs)significantly associated with gene expression and 6,914 splicing MEVs(sMEVs)associated with gene splicing based on RNA-seq data from 266 porcine liver *** eMEVs and sMEVs explain 6.24%and 9.47%,respectively,of the observed cis-heritability and high-light the important role of MEVs in the regulation of gene ***,we provide a high-quality SNP–MEV reference haplotype panel to impute MEV genotypes from genome-wide ***,we identified a candidate MEV significantly associated with total teat number,demonstrating the functionality of this reference *** The present investigation demonstrated the importance of MEVs in pigs in terms of population diversity,gene expression and phenotypic traits,which may provide useful resources and theoretic

作为意大利马克思主义流派德拉沃尔佩学派的代表理论家,卢乔•科莱蒂对当时意大利共产党的“和平的议会道路”提出了批判,认为后者是对马克思国家理论的歪曲。科莱蒂认为,葛兰西的人民阵线理论是对列宁如何在落后国家实现无产阶级革命理论的继承与发展,立足于意大利落后国家的现实,但以葛兰西人民阵线理论为基础的意共的“和平的议会道路”只强调联合,混淆了手段和目的的辩证法,无法实现民主革命的目标。科莱蒂对意共的“和平的议会道路”的批判是在理论层面的一种纠偏,并没有提出实践中的具体对策,这也在一定程度上也显示了西方马克思主义研究中“理论与实践相脱节”的困境。

中国宏观经济不确定性的经济效应

基于高维宏观经济数据,本文度量了我国的宏观经济不确定性,并使用TVP-SVFAVAR模型讨论了其对宏观经济的影响。结果表明,宏观经济不确定性具有逆周期的特点,对宏观经济的影响具有显著的时变效应。宏观经济不确定性的上升短期抑制经济增长、物价上涨和投资增加,而在长期则会促进经济增长,同时也会促进技术创新活动。我国经济在遭受不确定性冲击之后表现出短期受损而长期向好的特征,说明随着改革的深入,我国经济的韧性越来越强。这一实证结果表明我国宏观经济不确定性对宏观经济的效应在短期符合实物期权理论以及风险补偿理论的预测,而在长期符合增长期权理论的预测。因此,在不确定性较高的时期,宏观经济政策在平滑短期经济波动的同时,应该更加注重引导创新活动,从而保证长期的经济增长。

Geochronology and geodynamic setting of the carbonate-hosted Pb-Zn deposits in world-class Sichuan-Yunnan-Guizhou triangle,South China

Unraveling the precise mineralization age is vital to understand the geodynamic setting and ore-forming mechanism of the sediment-hosted Pb-Zn deposit;this has long been a *** Sichuan-Yunnan-Guizhou(SYG)triangle in the southwestern margin of the Yangtze Block is a globally recognized carbonate-hosted Pb-Zn metallogenic province and also an essential part of the South China low-temperature metallogenic *** region has>30 million tons(Mt)Zn and Pb resources and shows the enrichment of dispersed metals,such as Ga,Ge,Cd,Se,and *** the past 2 decades,abundant data on mineralization ages of Pb-Zn deposits within the SYG triangle have been documented based on various radioisotopic dating methods,resulting in significant progress in understanding the geodynamic background and ore formation of Pb-Zn deposits hosted in sedimentary rocks at SYG *** paper provides a comprehensive summary of the geochronological results and Pb-Sr isotopic data regarding Pb-Zn deposits in the SYG triangle,which identified two distinct Pb-Zn mineralization periods influencing the dynamic processes associated with the expansion and closure of the Paleo-Tethys Ocean in the western margin of the Yangtze *** predominant phase of Pb-Zn mineralization at SYG triangle spanned from the Middle Triassic to Early Jurassic(226-191 Ma),which was intensely correlated with the large-scale basin fluid transport triggered by the closure of the Paleo-Tethys Ocean and Indosinian *** secondary Pb-Zn mineralization phase occurred during the Late Devonian to Late Carboniferous and was controlled by extensional structures associated with the expansion of the Paleo-Tethys *** investigation is necessary to clarify the occurrence and potential factors involved in the Pb-Zn mineralization events during the Late Devonian to Late Carboniferous.

When AI meets sustainable 6G

Sixth-generation(6G) networks are anticipated to achieve transformative advancements, characterized by extreme connectivity, deep integration with artificial intelligence(AI) and sensing, and airground integration. The evolution of 6G exhibits two major trends: ubiquitous intelligence and sustainability. The former aims to embed state-of-the-art AI technology into the 6G network, from the physical layers to applications, while the latter emphasizes reducing energy consumption while enhancing network performance to address environmental concerns. Despite the amazing progress in recent years, AI advancements come with substantial increases in data and computational overhead, posing critical challenges for integrating AI into sustainable 6G networks. First, high energy consumption from large datasets and heavyweight AI models contradicts6G's green goals. Second, the precise collection of large datasets, message delivery latency, and inference delays in AI models pose challenges for real-time tasks in 6G. Third, the uninterpretability and unpredictability of AI models complicate meeting the stringent requirements for controllable transmission in dynamic wireless environments. Addressing these challenges and achieving sustainable 6G with ubiquitous intelligence calls for a revolutionary design of 6G architecture and AI frameworks. To this end, this paper introduces a novel and practical methodology for green, real-time, and controllable 6G native intelligence,starting with knowledge graph(KG) analysis to extract small but critical datasets, followed by the development of distributed lightweight AI models, and the use of digital twins(DTs) to create precise replicas of physical 6G networks. This leads to a pervasive multi-level(PML)-AI framework supported by a task-centric, three-layer 6G architecture. 利用人民银行《货币政策执行报告》文本分析数据,本研究从银行贷款损失准备计提的角度讨论了商业银行能否反应中央银行的货币政策立场变化。结果发现,银行贷款损失准备计提与报告中的货币政策立场宽松程度显著正相关。在宽松货币政策立场时,随着政策文本相似度上升,银行贷款损失准备计提的幅度会进一步上升。此外,报告中与货币相关的内容更受银行关注。这些结果表明商业银行能较好地反应央行沟通传递出的政策信号。本研究从文本分析的角度,为中国央行沟通预期管理效应的理论和实践提供了新的证据和思路。

All-season thermal management with zero energy consumption and emissions is more crucial to global decarbonization over traditional energy-intensive cooling/heating ***,the static single thermal management for cooling or heating fails to self-regulate the temperature in dynamic seasonal temperature ***,inspired by the dual-temperature regulation function of the fur color changes on the backs and abdomens of penguins,a smart thermal management composite hydrogel(PNA@H-PM Gel) system was subtly created though an "on-demand" dual-layer structure design *** PNA@H-PM Gel system features synchronous solar and thermal radiation modulation as well as tunable phase transition temperatures to meet the variable seasonal thermal requirements and energy-saving demands via self-adaptive radiative cooling and solar heating ***,this system demonstrates superb modulations of both the solar reflectance(ΔR=0.74) and thermal emissivity(ΔE=0.52) in response to ambient temperature changes,highlighting efficient temperature regulation with average radiative cooling and solar heating effects of 9.6℃ in summer and 6.1℃ in winter,***,compared to standard building baselines,the PNA@H-PM Gel presents a more substantial energy-saving cooling/heating potentials for energy-efficient buildings across various regions and *** novel solution,inspired by penguins in the real world,will offer a fresh approach for producing intelligent,energy-saving thermal management materials,and serve for temperature regulation under dynamic climate conditions and even throughout all seasons.
