Analysis of CO_2 utilization into synthesis gas based on solar thermochemical CH_4-reforming

In this study, the solar thermochemical reactor performance for CO_2 utilization into synthesis gas(H_2+ CO) based on CH_4 reforming process was investigated in the context of carbon capture and utilization(CCU) technologies. The P1 radiation heat transfer model is adopted to establish the heat and mass transfer model coupled with thermochemical reaction kinetics. The reactor thermal behavior with direct heat transfer between gaseous reactant and products evolution and the effects of different structural parameters were evaluated. It was found that the reactor has the potential to utilize by ～60% of CO_2 captured with 40% of CH_4 co-fed into syngas(72.9% of H_2 and 27.1% of CO) at 741.31 k W/mof incident radiation heat flux. However, the solar irradiance heat flux and temperature distribution were found to significantly affect the reactant species conversion efficiency and syngas production. The chemical reaction is mainly driven by the thermal energy and higher species conversion into syngas was observed when the temperature distribution at the inner cavity of the reactor was more uniform. Designed a solar thermochemical reactor able to volumetric store concentrated irradiance could highly improve CCU technologies for producing energy-rich chemicals. Besides, the mixture gas inlet velocity, operating pressure and CO_2/CH_4 feeding ratio were crucial to determining the efficiency of CO_2 utilization to solar fuels. Catalytic CO_2-reforming of CH_4 to chemical energy is a promising strategy for an efficient utilization of CO_2 as a renewable carbon source.

LAND USE CHANGE AND ITS SOCIO-ECONOMIC DRIVING FORCES UNDER STRESS OF PROJECT IN OLD RESERVOIR AREA——Case Study of Linshui Reservoir Area of Dahonghe Reservoir in Sichuan Province

The old reservoir areas built in 1950s- 1970s left behind many socio-economic problems, because of the administrative backward migration and little migration fund, and all these problems would be tied to land. Based on interviewing with peasant households, combining land use survey and socio-economic statistical index, this paper analyzed land use change and its corresponding driving forces in Linshui reservoir area of Dahonghe Reservoir. Results showed that land use change in the reservoir area was mainly embodied on low-lying land submergence and migration requisition land. The former changed the land use patterns, and the latter mainly reconstructed original land property and made land over-fragmented. Cultivated land per capita was 0.041ha in this area, below the cordon of cultivated land per capita enacted by FAO. Currently, there were still 30.25% of peasant households being short of grain in trimester of one year, and there were 35.27% of people living under the poverty line. The conditions of eco-environmerit in Linshui Reservoir Area were worse, and healthy and sub-healthy eco-environment accounted for less proportion, composed of green belt around the reservoir area and paddy field ecosystem, and economic forest and orchard ecosystem, respectively. The stress of the reservoir project was macroscopic background to analyze the driving factors of land use change, and real underlying diving factor of the land use change in the area was the change of cultural landscape under the stress of reservoir project. The rapid increase of population was the key factor to induce the change of man-land relationship in the reservoir area, the low level of rural economy was the crucial factor to decide how migrants input for production, and the belief of migrants, influencing the land use patterns in a certain extent, was the inducing factor to keep land use stable. Nucleation of Y-Si-O Nano-clusters in Multi-microalloyed Nano-structured Ferritic Alloys:a First-principles Study

First-principles energetics analyses were performed to investigate the nucleation of(Y-Si-O)nano-clusters(NCs)in nanostructured ferritic alloys(NFAs).It was predicted that the nucleation of(Y-Si-O)NCs follows the same general pathway as previously found for(Y-Ti/Al/Zr-O)NCs in NFAs:they all tend to begin with the(O-O)pairs and grow to(O-Y)-cores and further to larger NCs by attracting Y and other solute elements *** of a hexa-atomic-[2Y-Si-3O]-cluster can reduce the total energy by 4.71 *** various microalloying-induced NCs,the nucleation preference ordering was predicted as(Y-Zr-O)>(Y-Ti-O)>(Y-Al-O)>(Y-Si-O).The number densities and chemical compositions of NCs in multi-microalloyed NFAs would largely depend on the number availability of(O,Y)-cores,as well as the relative abundance and atomic diffusivities of microalloying solute elements nearby.

为开发高效去除水中硝酸盐氮的粒子电极,以金属盐和膨润土为原料,采用共沉淀法制备了负载型层状双氢氧化物(LDH)/膨润土复合粒子电极,考察了金属种类、铜和铁摩尔比、膨润土添加量、pH值及温度对粒子电极催化活性的影响。结果表明,铜盐和铁盐制备的LDH/膨润土复合粒子电极具有较高的催化活性,当铜和铁的摩尔比为3∶1,膨润土添加量为1 g/200 mL水,pH值为10,温度为40℃时,制备的复合粒子电极具有最佳的催化活性。在室温下对300 mL质量浓度为100 mg/L的KNO_(3)溶液进行还原试验,最终硝酸盐氮被完全去除,且氮气选择性为81.37%。表征测试结果表明,LDH/膨润土复合粒子电极具有明显的层状结构,电化学性能较好。复合粒子电极重复使用第3次时,硝酸盐氮去除率仍高达90.27%,具有良好稳定性。

In situ growth of large-area and self-aligned graphene nanoribbon arrays on liquid metal

Intrinsic graphene features semi-metallic characteristics that limit its applications in electronic devices,whereas graphene nanoribbons(GNRs) are promising semiconductors because of their bandgap-opening feature. However, the controllable mass-fabrication of high-quality GNR arrays remains a major *** particular, the in situ growth of GNR arrays through template-free chemical vapor deposition(CVD) has not been realized. Herein, we report a template-free CVD strategy to grow large-area, high-quality and self-aligned GNR arrays on liquid copper surface. The width of as-grown GNR could be optimized to sub-10 nm with aspect ratio up to 387, which is higher than those of reported CVD-GNRs. The study of the growth mechanism indicates that a unique comb-like etching-regulated growth process caused by a trace hydrogen flow guides the formation of the mass-produced self-aligned GNR arrays. Our approach is operationally simple and efficient, offering an assurance for the use of GNR arrays in integrated circuits.

Microstructure and Mechanical Behavior of CrFeNi2V0.5Wx(x=0,0.25)High-Entropy Alloys

CrFeNi2V0.5Wx(x=0,0.25)alloys based on these parameters of mixing enthalpy(△Hmix,mixing entropy(△Smix,atomic radius difference(δ),valance electron concentration,and electronegativity difference(△χ)were designed and *** microstructure and room-temperature mechanical behavior of both alloys were *** test results showed that the CrFeNi2V0.5W0.25 alloy had higher yield strength than that of the W-free CrFeNi2V0.5 alloy,although they all exhibited quite larger compressive plasticity(ε>70%).Compression fracture surface of CrFeNi2V0.5W0.25 alloy revealed a ductile fracture in the face-centered cubic(FCC)phase and a brittle-like fracture in theσ***,tensile test results indicated that the CrFeNi2V0.5W0.25 alloy exhibited excellent mechanical property with an ultimate tensile strength of 640 MPa and a high tensile elongation of 15.7%.The tensile deformation mode of the FCC phase in the CrFeNi2V0.5W0.25alloy is dominated by planar glide,relating to dislocation configurations,high-density dislocations,and dislocation ***,dislocation slip plays a significant role in tensile deformation of CrFeNi2V0.5W0.25 high-entropy *** higher strength of CrFeNi2V0.5W0.25 alloy is predominantly due to the solid solution strengthening of W element andσphase precipitation *** of the higher tensile strength and plasticity suggests that the CrFeNi2V0.5W0.25 alloy can be a promising aerospace material.

Transition metal chalcogenides will be in situ transformed into metal oxyhydroxides during oxygen evolution reaction(OER) process in alkaline ***,most of these compounds only undergo surface reconstruction under operating conditions,which contains a large percentage of inactive atoms in the core,thus limiting the exposure of the active ***,we synthesize a Ni-Mo-Se precatalyst with three-dimensional hierarchical structure and develop a facile on-site electrochemical activation strategy for achieving deep reconstruction of the *** the combination of multiple spectroscopic characterizations and high resolution electron microscopy techniques,we unravel that the Ni-Mo-Se precatalyst is deeply reconstructed into γ-NiOOH with co-leaching of Mo and Se after the anodic *** flower-like γ-NiOOH is constituted by distorted ultrathin nanosheets with a thickness of ~4.5 nm and contains abundant intercalated species such as water and OH^(-)/CO_(3)^(2-) thus offering a large quantity of accessible active *** reach the current density of 10 mA cm^(-2),the derived electrode requires an overpotential of only 244 mV,outperforming almost all the reported *** work highlights the reconstruction chemistry and provides a simple method for the preparation of efficient OER electrocatalyst.

Experimental investigation of wall-bounded turbulence drag reduction by active control of double piezoelectric vibrator

In order to manipulate the large-scale coherent structures in the wall-bounded turbulence and reduce the skin-friction,an active-control experimental investigation is performed by using the synchronous and asynchronous vibrations of double piezoelectric vibrators embedded spanwisely on a smooth flat plate surface.A TSI-IFA300 hot-wire anemometer and a TSI-1621 A-Tl.5 hot-wire probe are used to measure the time series of the instantaneous velocity at different *** influences of the vibrations on the wall-bounded turbulence are compared in a multi-scale point of view.A disturbance Reynolds Number Red=pd2 f/μis introduced to represent the disturbance.A probability density functions(PDFs)of the multi-scale components of the turbulence velocity and the multi-scale conditional phase-averaged waveform are studied in detail using the wavelet *** results show that the maximum drag reduction rate 18.54%is obtained at 100 V/160 Hz and Red=0.54 in the asynchronous vibration *** disturbances generated by the vibrators have a significant influence on the sweep events of the *** asynchronous vibration model is more effective than the synchronous vibration one.A possible physical mechanism is suggested to explain why the disturbance frequency of 160 Hz leads to an optimal parameter set for the drag reduction.
