The Nesterov accelerated dynamical approach serves as an essential tool for addressing convex optimization problems with accelerated convergence rates.Most previous studies in this field have primarily concentrated on unconstrained smooth con-vex optimization problems.In this paper,on the basis of primal-dual dynamical approach,Nesterov accelerated dynamical approach,projection operator and directional gradient,we present two accelerated primal-dual projection neurodynamic approaches with time scaling to address convex optimization problems with smooth and nonsmooth objective functions subject to linear and set constraints,which consist of a second-order ODE(ordinary differential equation)or differential conclusion system for the primal variables and a first-order ODE for the dual vari-ables.By satisfying specific conditions for time scaling,we demonstrate that the proposed approaches have a faster conver-gence rate.This only requires assuming convexity of the objective function.We validate the effectiveness of our proposed two accel-erated primal-dual projection neurodynamic approaches through numerical experiments.

This paper investigates two distributed accelerated primal-dual neurodynamic approaches over undirected connected graphs for resource allocation problems(RAP)where the objective functions are generally convex.With the help of projection operators,a primal-dual framework,and Nesterov's accelerated method,we first design a distributed accelerated primal-dual projection neurodynamic approach(DAPDP),and its convergence rate of the primal-dual gap is O(1/(t^(2)))by selecting appropriate parameters and initial values.Then,when the local closed convex sets are convex inequalities which have no closed-form solutions of their projection operators,we further propose a distributed accelerated penalty primal-dual neurodynamic approach(DAPPD)on the strength of the penalty method,primal-dual framework,and Nesterov's accelerated method.Based on the above analysis,we prove that DAPPD also has a convergence rate O(1/(t^(2)))of the primal-dual gap.Compared with the distributed dynamical approaches based on the classical primal-dual framework,our proposed distributed accelerated neurodynamic approaches have faster convergence rates.Numerical simulations demonstrate that our proposed neurodynamic approaches are feasible and effective.

Achieving asymptotical cooperative goal for multi-agent systems(MASs)with non-autonomous leaders(i.e.,leaders with nonzero inputs)is a critical but challenging issue.Traditional approach is to use discontinuous controllers which may cause chattering phenomenon in practical applications.How to achieve the asymptotical goal via a chattering free cooperative controller remains to be open so far.In this paper,an adaptive continuous controller is designed to achieve zero error consensus tracking in multiple Lur’e systems with a non-autonomous leader under directed switching topology.Firstly,an unknown input observer(UIO)based on relative outputs is given to estimate the relative full states.Then an adaptive continuous controller is designed by introducing a decay function which remains positive into the term that plays the role of eliminating the impacts of leader’s nonzero inputs.Secondly,by using multiple Lyapunov functions(MLFs)technique,it is proven that zero error consensus tracking can be achieved if the average dwell time(ADT)is greater than a positive threshold.Finally,theoretical result is verified by performing simulations on Chua’s circuits.Compared with existing work,the proposed controller can not only achieve asymptotical consensus,but also is chattering free.

This paper addresses the distributed optimization problems of multi-agent systems using a distributed hybrid impulsive protocol.The objective is to ensure the agents achieve the state consensus and optimize the aggregate objective functions assigned for each agent with distributed manner. We establish two criteria related to the optimality condition and the impulsive gain upper estimation, and propose a distributed hybrid impulsive optimal protocol, which includes two terms: the local averaging term in the continuous interval and the term involving the gradient information at impulsive instants. The simulation results show that the optimal consensus can be realized under the distributed hybrid impulsive optimization algorithm.

The paper investigates the practical prescribed-time fuzzy tracking control problem for a category of nonlinear system subject to time-varying actuator faults.The presence of unknown nonlinear dynamics and actuator faults makes achieving tracking control within a prescribed-time challenging.To tackle this issue,we propose a novel practical prescribed-time fuzzy tracking control strategy,which is independent of the initial state of the system and does not rely on precise modeling of the system and actuators.We apply the approximation capabilities of fuzzy logic systems to handle the unknown nonlinear functions and unidentified actuator faults in the system.The piecewise controller and adaptive law constructed based on piecewise prescribed time-varying function and backstepping technique method establish the theoretical framework of practical prescribed-time tracking control,and extend the range of prescribed-time tracking control to infinity.Regardless of the initial conditions,the proposed control strategy can guarantee that all signals remain uniformly bounded within the practical prescribed time in the presence of unknown nonlinear item and time-varying actuator faults.Simulation example is presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.

This paper presents an Euler discretized inertial delayed neuron model, and its bifurcation dynamical behaviors are discussed. By using the associated characteristic model, center manifold theorem and the normal form method, it is shown that the model not only undergoes codimension one(flip, Neimark-Sacker) bifurcation, but also undergoes cusp and resonance bifurcation(1:1 and 1:2) of codimension two. Further, it is found that the parity of delay has some effect on bifurcation behaviors. Finally, some numerical simulations are given to support the analytic results and explore complex dynamics, such as periodic orbits near homoclinic orbits, quasiperiodic orbits, and chaotic orbits.

A Survey on the Control Lyapunov Function and Control Barrier Function for Nonlinear-Affine Control Systems

This survey provides a brief overview on the control Lyapunov function(CLF)and control barrier function(CBF)for general nonlinear-affine control systems.The problem of control is formulated as an optimization problem where the optimal control policy is derived by solving a constrained quadratic programming(QP)problem.The CLF and CBF respectively characterize the stability objective and the safety objective for the nonlinear control systems.These objectives imply important properties including controllability,convergence,and robustness of control problems.Under this framework,optimal control corresponds to the minimal solution to a constrained QP problem.When uncertainties are explicitly considered,the setting of the CLF and CBF is proposed to study the input-to-state stability and input-to-state safety and to analyze the effect of disturbances.The recent theoretic progress and novel applications of CLF and CBF are systematically reviewed and discussed in this paper.Finally,we provide research directions that are significant for the advance of knowledge in this area.

This paper studies the countermeasure design problems of distributed resilient time-varying formation-tracking control for multi-UAV systems with single-way communications against composite attacks,including denial-of-services(DoS)attacks,false-data injection attacks,camouflage attacks,and actuation attacks(AAs).Inspired by the concept of digital twin,a new two-layered protocol equipped with a safe and private twin layer(TL)is proposed,which decouples the above problems into the defense scheme against DoS attacks on the TL and the defense scheme against AAs on the cyber-physical layer.First,a topologyrepairing strategy against frequency-constrained DoS attacks is implemented via a Zeno-free event-triggered estimation scheme,which saves communication resources considerably.The upper bound of the reaction time needed to launch the repaired topology after the occurrence of DoS attacks is calculated.Second,a decentralized adaptive and chattering-relief controller against potentially unbounded AAs is designed.Moreover,this novel adaptive controller can achieve uniformly ultimately bounded convergence,whose error bound can be given explicitly.The practicability and validity of this new two-layered protocol are shown via a simulation example and a UAV swarm experiment equipped with both Ultra-WideBand and WiFi communication channels.

This paper investigates the adaptive event-triggered control problem for a class of nonlinear systems subject to periodic disturbances. To reduce the communication burden, a reliable relative threshold strategy is proposed. Fourier series expansion and radial basis function neural network are combined into a function approximator to model suitable time-varying disturbed function of known periods in strict-feedback systems. By combining the Lyapunov stability theory and the backstepping technique, the proposed adaptive control approach ensures that all the signals in the closed-loop system are bounded, and the tracking error can be regulated to a compact set around zero in finite time. Finally, simulation results are presented to verify the effectiveness of the theoretical results.
