An elevation change dataset in Greenland ice sheet from 2003 to 2020 using satellite altimetry data

ABSTRACT A decade-long pronounced increase in temperatures in the Arctic resulted in a global warming hotspot over the Greenland ice sheet(GrIS).Associated changes in the cryosphere were the consequence and led to a demand for monitoring glacier changes,which are one of the major parameters to analyze the responses of the GrIS to climate ***-term altimetry data(***,CryoSat-2,and ICESat-2)can provide elevation changes over different periods,and many methods have been developed for altimetry alone to obtain elevation *** this work,we provided the long-term elevation change rate data of the GrIS in three different periods using ICESat data(from February 2003 to October 2009),Cryosat-2 data(from August 2010 to October 2018)and ICESat-2 data(from October 2018 to December 2020).Optimal methods were applied to the datasets collected by three different altimeters:crossover analysis for ICESat/ICESat-2 and the surface fit method for *** data revealed that the elevation change rates of the GrIS were-12.19±3.81 cm/yr,-19.70±3.61 cm/yr and-23.39±3.06 cm/yr in the three different periods,corresponding to volume change rates of-210.20±25.34 km^(3)/yr,-339.11±24.01 km^(3)/yr and-363.33±20.37 km^(3)/yr,*** general,the obtained results agree with the trends discovered by other studies that were also derived from satellite altimetry *** dataset provides the basic data for research into the impact of climate change over the *** dataset is available at https://***/10.57760/sciencedb.j00076.00121.

目的:探究介入栓塞时机对脑动脉瘤破裂患者效果及神经损伤的影响。方法:选取2021年1月—2023年6月扬州市江都人民医院收治的80例脑动脉瘤破裂患者进行回顾性研究,根据治疗时机分为A组和B组。A组入院3 d后进行介入栓塞治疗,B组入院3 d内进行介入栓塞治疗。比较两组栓塞效果、并发症总发生率、治疗前后美国国立卫生研究院卒中量表(NIHSS)评分及血清神经损伤指标[神经元特异性烯醇化酶(NSE)、S100钙结合蛋白B(S100B)及髓鞘碱性蛋白(MBP)]。结果:B组栓塞效果显著优于A组,并发症总发生率显著低于A组,差异均有统计学意义(P0.05);治疗后1、3个月B组NIHSS评分均显著优于A组,治疗后3、7、14 d两组血清神经损伤指标均显著低于治疗前,且B组血清神经损伤指标均显著低于A组,差异均有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论:早期介入栓塞治疗在脑动脉瘤破裂患者中的应用效果较好,更有助于改善神经功能,减少并发症发生。

Re-estimating the changes and ranges of forest biomass carbon in China during the past 40 years

Background: In recent decades the future of global forests has been a matter of increasing concern, particularly in relation to the threat of forest ecosystem responses under potential climate change. To the future predictions of these responses, the current forest biomass carbon storage(FCS) should first be clarified as much as possible,especially at national scales. However, few studies have introduced how to verify an FCS estimate by delimiting the reasonable ranges. This paper addresses an estimation of national FCS and its verification using two-step process to narrow the uncertainty. Our study focuses on a methodology for reducing the uncertainty resulted by converting from growing stock volume to above-and below-ground biomass(AB biomass), so as to eliminate the significant bias in national scale ***: We recommend splitting the estimation into two parts, one part for stem and the other part for AB biomass to preclude possible significant bias. Our method estimates the stem biomass from volume and wood density(WD), and converts the AB biomass from stem biomass by using allometric ***: Based on the presented two-step process, the estimation of China’s FCS is performed as an example to explicate how to infer the ranges of national FCS. The experimental results demonstrate a national FCS estimation within the reasonable ranges(relative errors: + 4.46% and-4.44%), e.g., 5.6–6.1 PgC for China’s forest ecosystem at the beginning of the 2010 s. These ranges are less than 0.52 PgC for confirming each FCS estimate of different periods during the last 40 years. In addition, our results suggest the upper-limits by specifying a highly impractical value of WD(0.7 t·m-3) on the national scale. As a control reference, this value decides what estimate is impossible to achieve for the FCS ***: Presented methodological analysis highlights the possibility to determine a range that the true value could be located in. 研究植保无人机投放螟黄赤眼蜂防治稻纵卷叶螟的田间效果,为促进水稻病虫害绿色防控技术与统防统治相融合提供参考数据。在南宁市宾阳县古辣镇不丈垌的稻田设置2个放蜂区,采用植保无人机投放可降解球形放蜂器,每个球形放蜂器含2000头螟黄赤眼蜂,每次每667m^(2)投放4个球形放蜂器,共投放3次。放蜂前,放蜂区1、放蜂区2和对照区螟卵寄生率均为0,卷叶率分别为0.04%、0.05%和0.11%;3次放蜂后,放蜂区1、放蜂区2平均寄生率53.33%,防效分别为66.02%和70.87%,与农户自防区相比寄生率更高,防效更好。应用植保无人机投放螟黄赤眼蜂可有效控制稻纵卷叶螟田间为害率,提高卵寄生率,是稻纵卷叶螟的有效生物防治措施之一。

Fine-resolution mapping of the circumpolar Arctic Man-made impervious areas(CAMI)using sentinels,OpenStreetMap and ArcticDEM

Man-made impervious areas map is of great demand in environmen-tal and urbanization studies since impervious areas are considered as a key indication of urbanization,especially for circumpolar ***,to date,finer resolution and spatially continuous imper-vious areas information remains scarce in the *** this study,we developed an accurate and complete circumpolar Arctic Man-made impervious areas(CAMI)map at a resolution of 10 m by combining Sentinel-1 C-band Synthetic Aperture Radar,Sentinel-2 multispectral images,OpenStreetMap,and ArcticDEM via Google Earth Engine platform.A random forest classifier model was trained and used to generate corresponding impervious areas map for the year *** evaluation results suggested that CAMI was the most accurate with an overall accuracy of 86.36%and kappa coefficient of 70.73%as against the three existing impervious areas *** on the generated map and OpenStreetMap,we estimated that total imper-vious areas area in the Arctic has achieved 807.80 km2,of which roads,industrial and resident land were three major land use types,accounting for 54.08%,17.85%and 10.34%,*** CAMI map will support for new application and provide advanced insight into the infrastructure vulnerability evaluation and environmental sustainability in the Arctic.

China's wetland change (1990-2000) determined by remote sensing

Two wetland maps for the entire China have been produced based on Landsat data acquired around 1990 and 2000. Wetlands in China have been divided into 3 broad categories with 15 sub-categories except rice fields. In 1990, the total wetland area in China was 355208 km2 whereas in 2000 it dropped to 304849 km2 with a net loss of 50360 km2. During an approximate 10-year period, inland wetland reduced from 318326 to 257922 km2, coastal wetland dropped from 14335 to 12015 km2, while artificial wetland increased from 22546 to 34911 km2. The greatest natural wetland loss occurred in Heilongjiang, Inner Mon- golia, and Jilin with a total loss of over 57000 km2 of wetland. In western China, over 13000 km2 of wetlands were newly formed in Xinjiang, Tibet, and Qinghai. About 12000 km2 of artificial wetlands were also added for fish farm and reservoir constructions. The newly formed wetlands in western China were caused primarily by climate warming over that region whereas the newly created artificial wetlands were caused by economic developments. China’s wetland loss is caused mainly by human activities.

Using a global reference sample set and a cropland map for area estimation in China

A technically transparent and freely available reference sample set for validation of global land cover mapping was recently established to assess the accuracies of land cover maps with multiple *** sample set can be used to estimate areas because of its equal-area hexagon-based sampling *** capabilities of these sample set-based area estimates for cropland were investigated in this paper.A 30-m cropland map for China was consolidated using three thematic maps(cropland,forest and wetland maps)to reduce confusion between cropland and forest/*** compared three area estimation methods using the sample set and the 30 m cropland *** methods investigated were:(1)pixel counting from a complete coverage map,(2)direct estimation from reference samples,and(3)model-assisted estimation combining the map with *** results indicated that all three methods produced generally consistent estimates which agreed with cropland area measured from an independent national land use *** estimated from the reference sample set were less biased by comparing with a National Land Use Dataset of China(NLUD-C).This study indicates that the reference sample set can be used as an alternative source to estimate areas over large regions.

China’s urban expansion from 1990 to 2010 determined with satellite remote sensing

Association between abnormal default mode network homogeneity and sleep disturbances in major depressive disorder
