Hybrid membranes combining the merits of both polymer matrices and fillers have drawn extensive attention. The rational design of polymer–filler interface in hybrid membranes is vitally important for reducing the occurrence of void defects. herein, imine-type covalent organic frameworks(COFs) were selected as the fillers due to their totally organic nature and multi-functionalities. Mussel-inspired dopamine-modified sodium alginate(Alg DA) was synthesized as the polymer matrix. The dopamine modification significantly improves the Alg DA–COF compatibility,which enhances the COF content up to 50 wt% in the hybrid membranes. The improved interfacial compatibility enhances the membrane separation selectivity. Accordingly, when utilized for dehydration of ethanol/water mixed solution(water concentration of 10 wt%), the hybrid membrane reveals high water concentration of ~98.7 wt% in permeate, and stable permeation flux larger than 1500 g·m-2·h-1. This work might afford useful insights for fabricating hybrid membranes with high separation selectivity by optimizing the polymer–filler interface.

A combined model of solute transport and water flow was developed to simulate the migration of methanol, a soluble organic chemical, in unsaturated soil zone. The solute transport equation considered convective-dispersive transport in the liquid phase as well as diffusion in the gas phase. The effect of rainfall and evapotranspiration on transport was considered at the boundary conditions of the governing equations. Data on the characteristics of a loam soil and the climatic conditions in southern California were also introduced to compare the results with those from a study in the USA in which the profiles of methanol distribution and water content in the soil zone at different times had been depicted. This comparison showed that there was good agreement between the two studies. The results showed that methanol contamination reached a depth of about 250 cm after 8 760 h. In contrast, if rainfall and evapotranspiration were not considered, the depth was only about 140 cm. The model therefore confirmed that rainfall strongly affected solute transport.

In this study sediment samples were collected from 13 sites of Haihe River in Tianjin City, China, sixteen of priority polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons （PAHs） listed in USEPA were analyzed by means of GC-MS. The total concentrations of PAH ranged from 774.81 to 255371.91 ng/g dw, and two to four rings of PAHs were dominant in sediment samples. Molecular ratios, such as phenanthrene/anthracene, fluoranthene/pyrene and low-molecular-weight PAH/high-molecular-weight PAH, were used to study the possible sources of pollution. It indicated a mixed pattern of parolytic and petrogenic inputs of PAHs in sediments in Haihe River. The petrogenic PAHs may be mainly derived from the leakage of refined products, e.g., gasoline, diesel fuel and fuel oil vehicle traffics or gas stations from urban area. The pyrolytic PAHs might be from the discharge of industrial wastewater and the emission of atmospheric particles from petrochemical factories. In addition, the levels of PAHs in the urban and industrial areas are far beyond the values reported from other rivers and marine systems reported. This situation may be due to polluted discharging from some petrochemical industrial manufactories and worse traffic conditions in Tianjin.

Background Anxiety appears to be more common in patients with coronary artery disease （CHD） than in the general population, and anxiety symptoms may precede onset of CHD and play an important role in development of CHD. Little is known about the prevalence of anxiety symptoms in Chinese patients with premature ventricular contractions （PVCs）. Our objective was to study anxiety symptoms and potential risk factors in a Chinese population with PVCs but without structural heart disease. Methods The Zung self-rating anxiety scale （ZSAS） was used to assess anxiety symptoms. Correlation between anxiety symptoms and socio-demographics and medical factors were analyzed by Logistic regression. Results Of 1144 patients with PVCs （487 males and 657 females）, age （53＋23） years old, disease duration 1 month to 24 years, a total of 381 （33.3%） patients were categorized as having anxiety symptoms. Anxiety symptoms increased with age, low income, low education level, nationality, PVC count/24 hours, bad social support, village settlement type （P 〈0.05）. Multivariate Logistic regression indicated that six variablesmeducation level, ethnic minorities, dwelling place, age, PVC count/24 hours, and social support--significantly and independently related with anxiety symptoms （P 〈0.05）. Conclusions In the Chinese population, anxiety symptoms in subjects with PVCs were frequent. Education level, ethnic minorities, dwelling place, age, PVC count/24 hours, and social support were independent risk factors for anxiety symptoms. Further research on the relationship between PVCs and anxiety symptoms in China is necessary.

Ultrasmall gold(Au)clusters have been regarded as one of the prototypes materials for solar energy conversion due to their unique strong molecular-like light absorption ***,the light-induced aggregation of Au clusters into nanoparticles is one of the most important factors that restricts its application in *** Au clusters aggregation has been widely demonstrated,the underlying mechanism for cluster fusion is still unclear due to the lack of experimental ***,we report the direct observation of Au clusters on TiO_(2) nanosheets aggregating when used as visible light photocatalysts for the reduction of *** in situ high-resolution transmission electron microscopy(TEM),the coexistence of two fusion mechanisms of Au clusters on TiO_(2) under ultraviolet-visible(UV-Vis)light irradiation in air is identified,i.e.,the migration and coalescence(MC)and Ostwald ripening(OR).Additionally,the correlation between the photostability of Au clusters and reaction atmospheres has been investigated,among which Au clusters have higher stability in an inert N_(2) atmosphere or vacuum than the oxidizing atmospheres(i.e.,air and O_(2)).These results indicate the inherent stability of Au cluster during photocatalysis,and instability comes from the consuming of ligand *** work not only discloses the underlying mechanism of Au cluster sintering but also provides guidelines for enhancing metal clusters-based photocatalysts stability.

Spatial association between landslides and environmental factors over Guizhou Karst Plateau,China

Guizhou Karst Plateau is located at the center of the karst region in Asia, where landslides are a typical disaster. Affected by the local karst environment, the landslides in this region have their own characteristics. In this study, 3975 landslide records from inventories of the Guizhou karst plateau are studied. The geographical detector method is used to detect the dominant casual factor and predominant multi-factor combinations for the local landslides. The results show that landslides are prone to areas on slopes between 10° and 35°, of clay rock, in close proximity to gullies, and especially in areas of moderate vegetation, dryland, and mild rocky desertification. Continuous precipitation over 10 days has a great effect on landslide occurrence. Compared with the individual factors, the impact of two-factor interaction has greater explanatory power for landslide volume. The volume of earthquake-induced landslides is predominantly controlled by the interactions of faults and slopes, while that of humaninduced landslides is affected by the interactions of land cover and hydrological conditions. For rainfallinduced landslides, the dominant interactions vary in different regions. In the central karst basin, the interactions between faults and precipitation can explain over 90% of the variations in landslide volumes. In the southern hilly karst region, the interactions between lithology and slope can explain over 71% of the variations in landslide volume and those between fault and land-use can explain 50% of the variations of the landslide volumes in the northeastern mountainous karst region.

Atrial fibrillation(AF)is a growing public health problem in the context of the epidemiologic transition from communicable to non-communicable diseases,and a high prevalence of AF was found in Chinese patients who died in hospital.[1]Indeed,most understanding of AF is based on findings from clinical trials and observational studies performed in North America and Western Europe,[2]and some studies have described the characteristics of patients with AF in other *** data have highlighted the important differences in the clinical characteristics and treatment of patients with AF in these regions.[3,4]However,few studies have investigated the characteristics of patients with AF in ***,the aim of this study was to investigate the clinical demographics,management,and outcomes of patients hospitalized for AF using data from a recently registered AF-specific nationwide cohort study in China,the real-world study of Chinese atrial fibrillation(RWS-CAF)*** RWS-CAF registry(registration number:ChiCTR1900021250)comprises a multicenter,observational,prospective cohort that includes consecutive patients requiring hospitalization with a diagnosis of AF made according to the Chinese AF guidelines,spanning from November 1,2017,to October 31,*** of the enrolled hospitals are grade A class three *** patients hospitalized with AF who were aged 18 years or older were recruited.

A series of triblock copolymers, containing a CO_2-switchable block poly（2-（dimethylamino）ethyl methacrylate）（PDM） block and two symmetrical hydrophilic blocks polyacrylamide（PAM）, were synthesized using atom transfer radical polymerization（ATRP） method. The p H and conductivity tests showed that the triblock copolymer exhibited switchable responsiveness to CO_2, i.e. a relatively low conductivity of solution could be switched on and off by bubbling and removing of CO_2, and the triblock copolymer aqueous solution displayed a CO_2-switchable viscosity variation. The changes were all attributed to protonation of tertiary amine groups in PDM blocks and proven by 1 H-NMR. Cryogenic transmission electron microscopy and dynamic light scattering characterization demonstrated that the viscosity variation was the result of a unilamellar vesicle-network aggregate structure transition. The release of rhodamine B from the vesicles with and without CO_2 stimuli showed the potential application in drug delivery domains; after CO_2 bubbling, the drug release rate could be accelerated. Finally, reasonable mechanism of CO_2-switchable morphology changes and CO_2-induced drug release was proposed.

Objective This study aimed to compare the current Essen rabies post-exposure immunization schedule(0-3-7-14-28)in China and the simple 4-dose schedule(0-3-7-14)newly recommended by the World health Organization in terms of their safety,efficacy,and *** Mice were vaccinated according to different immunization schedules,and blood was collected for detection of rabies virus neutralizing antibodies(RVNAs)on days 14,21,28,35,and 120after the first ***,different groups of mice were injected with lethal doses of the CVS-11 virus on day 0,subjected to different rabies immunization schedules,and assessed for morbidity and death *** a clinical trial,185 rabies-exposed individuals were selected for post-exposure vaccination according to the Essen schedule,and blood was collected for RVNAs detection on days 28and 42 after the first *** A statistically significant difference in RVNAs between mice in the Essen and 0-3-7-14 schedule groups was observed on the 35th day(Phe groups 0-3-7-14,0-3-7-21,and 0-3-7-28 showed no statistically significant difference(P>0.05)in RVNAs levels at any time *** post-exposure immune protective test showed that the survival rate of mice in the control group was 20%,whereas that in the immunization groups was 40%.In the clinical trial,the RVNAs positive conversion rates on days 28(14 days after 4 doses)and 42(14 days after 5 doses)were both 100%,and no significant difference in RVNAs levels was observed(P>0.05).Conclusion The simple 4-dose schedule can produce sufficient RVNAs levels,with no significant effect of a delayed fourth vaccine dose(14–28 d)on the immunization potential.
