DEAR EDITOR,Cave loaches within the family Nemacheilidae are among the most diverse group of cavefish in southwestern *** certain species have been included in previous phylogenetic studies,the intergeneric and interspecific relationships of Chinese cave loaches in Nemacheilidae remain poorly investigated due to insufficient *** this study,a total of 45 samples from 37 recognized species and two unidentified species of cave loaches were collected,accounting for 87.5%of the eight recognized genera of cave loaches within the family Nemacheilidae in *** complete mitochondrial genome(mitogenome)and seven nuclear genes were sequenced,and the phylogenetic tree of Chinese cave loaches was *** Bayesian inference and maximum-likelihood analyses resolved the phylogenetic relationships at the generic and species levels,suggesting the effectiveness of this multilocus marker system in determining phylogenetic relationships in Chinese cave *** analysis not only confirmed previous taxonomic hypotheses based on morphological data but also provided new insights into the relationships of many cave loaches at the genus and species levels as well as suggestions for the current taxonomy of cave loaches within the family Nemacheilidae.

Volt-var control(VVC)is essentially a non-convex optimization problem due to the non-convexity of power flow(PF)constraints,resulting in the difficulty in obtaining the optimum without convexity *** existing second-order cone method for the convexity conversion often leads to a sharp increase in PF constraints and optimization variables,which in turn increases the optimization difficulty or even leads to optimization *** paper first proposes a deterministic VVC method based on convex deep learning power flow(DLPF).This method uses the input convex neural network(ICNN)to establish a single convex mapping between state parameters and node voltage to complete the convexity conversion while the optimization variables only correspond to reactive power equipment,which can ensure the global optimum with extremely fast computation *** cope with the impact brought by the uncertainty of distributed energy and omit the additional worst scenario search of traditional robust VVC,this paper proposes robust VVC method based on convex deep learning interval power flow(DLIPF),which continues to adopt ICNN to establish another convex mapping between state parameters and node voltage *** DLIPF with DLPF,this method decreases the modeling and optimization difficulty of robust VVC *** results on 30-bus,118-bus,and 200-bus systems prove the correctness and rapidity of the proposed methods.

The Paramesotriton Chang, 1935 genus of Asian warty newts is the second most diverse genus in the family Salamandridae, currently containing 14recognized species from northern Vietnam to southwest-central and southern China. Although species of this genus have been included in previous phylogenetic studies, the origin and interspecific relationships of the genus are still not fully resolved,especially at key nodes in the phylogeny. In this study, we sequenced mitochondrial genomes and 32nuclear genes from 27 samples belonging to 14species to reconstruct the interspecific phylogenetic relationships within Paramesotriton and explore its historical biogeography in southern China. Both Bayesianinferenceandmaximum-likelihood analyses highly supported the monophyly of Paramesotriton and its two recognized species groups(P. caudopunctatus and P. chinensis groups)and further identified five hypothetical phylogenetic cryptic species. Biogeographic analyses indicated that Paramesotriton originated in southwestern China(Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau/South China) during the late Oligocene. The time of origin of Paramesotriton corresponded to the second uplift of the Himalayan/qinghai-Xizang(Tibetan) Plateau(QTP), rapid lateral extrusion of Indochina, and formation of karst landscapes in southwestern *** component analysis(PCA), independent sample t-tests, and niche differentiation using bioclimatic variables based on locations of occurrence suggested that Paramesotriton habitat conditions in the three current regions(West, South,and East) differ significantly, with different levels of climatic niche differentiation. Species distribution model(SDM) predictions indicated that the most suitable distribution areas for the P. caudopunctatus and P. chinensis species groups are western and southern/eastern areas of southern China. Many issues concerning the origin of high-temperature superconductivity(HTS)are still under *** example,how the magnetic order varies with doping and its relationship with the superconducting temperature(Tc);and why Tcalways peaks near the quantum critical *** this paper,taking hole-doped La_(2)CuO_(4)as a classical example,we employ the first-principles band structure and total energy calculations with Monte Carlo simulations to explore how the symmetry-breaking magnetic ground state evolves with hole doping and the origin of a dome-shaped superconductivity region in the phase *** demonstrate that the local antiferromagnetic order and doping play key roles in determining the electron-phonon coupling,thus ***,the La_(2)CuO_(4)possesses a checkerboard local antiferromagnetic ground *** the hole doping increases,Tcincreases with the enhanced electron-phonon coupling *** as the doping increases further,the strength of the antiferromagnetic interaction weakens and spin fluctuation *** the critical doping level,a magnetic phase transition occurs that reduces the local antiferromagnetism-assisted electron-phonon coupling,thus diminishing the *** superconductivity disappears in the heavily overdoped region when the ferromagnetic order *** observations could account for why cuprates have a dome-shaped superconductivity region in the phase *** study,thus,contributes to a fundamental understanding of the correlation between doping,local magnetic order,and superconductivity of HTS.

The cubic S/N co-doped TiO_(2)(TNSx,x is the calcination temperature)photocatalysts with rich oxygen vacancies were obtained by high temperature calcination of sulfur powder and titanium-based MOFs NH_(2)-MIL-125 for the photocatalytic removal of gaseous formaldehyde(a volatile organic compound).Among the obtained catalysts,the presence of oxygen vacancies restricted photogenerated electron and holes recombination.98.00%removal of gaseous formaldehyde in 150 min could be achieved over TNS600 by xenon *** removal efficiency for formaldehyde was well retained for five cycle *** results from PL,TRPL and EIS revealed that TNS600 had the best separation efficiency of photogenerated electrons and holes,and the enhanced charge separation led to a significant increase in photocatalytic *** photocatalytic oxidation mechanism indicated that the ^(•)OH and ^(•)O_(2)−radicals were mainly involved in the efficient elimination of gaseous formaldehyde and were able to mineralize formaldehyde to H_(2)O and CO_(2).

A Method for Evaluating the Maximum Bending Degree of Flexural Toppling Rock Masses Based on the Rock Tensile Strain-Softening Model

Flexural toppling occurs when a series of layered rock masses bend towards their free *** is important to evaluate the maximum bending degree and the requirement of supports of flexural toppling rock mass to prevent rock mass cracking and even failure leading to a *** on the rock tensile strain-softening model,this study proposes a method for calculating the maximum curvature(C_(ppmax))of flexural toppling rock *** applying this method to calculate Cppmax of 9 types of rock masses with different hardness and rock layer thickness,some conclusions are drawn:(1)the internal key factors affecting C_(ppmax)are E^(⋆)(E^(⋆)=E_(ss)/E_(0),where E_(0)and E_(ss)are the mean deformation moduli of the rock before and after reaching its peak tensile strength,respectively),the strainεt corresponding to the tensile strength of rock,and the thickness(h)of rock layers;(2)hard rock layers are more likely to develop into block toppling than soft rock layers;and(3)thin rock layers are more likely to remain in flexural toppling state than thick rock *** addition,it is found that C_(ppmax)for flexural toppling rock masses composed of bedded rocks such as gneiss is related to the tensile direction.

Very high-energy electrons(VHEEs)are potential candidates for FLASH radiotherapy for deep-seated *** proposed a compact VHEE facility based on an X-band high-gradient high-power *** this study,we investigated and realized the first X-band backward traveling-wave(BTW)accelerating structure as the buncher for a VHEE facility.A method for calculating the parameters of single cell from the field distribution was introduced to simplify the design of the BTW ***-domain circuit equations were applied to calculate the transient beam parameters of the buncher in the unsteady state.A prototype of the BTW structure with a thermionic cathode-diode electron gun was designed,fabricated,and tested at high power at the Tsinghua X-band high-power test *** structure successfully operated with 5-MW microwave pulses from the pulse compressor and outputted electron bunches with an energy of 8 MeV and a pulsed current of 108 mA.

Cancer is a major global health issue;in 2020,there were 19.29 million new cancer cases and 9.96 million cancer deaths worldwide(Siegel et al.,2023).Despite ongoing research,chemotherapy remains the primary treatment due to its broad anti-cancer effects(Marra and Curigliano,2021).However,intravenous chemotherapeutic drugs commonly induce hematotoxicity,necessitating dose adjustments or treatment ***-induced thrombocytopenia(CIT)and neutropenia(CIN)are the primary manifestations of chemotherapy-induced hematotoxicity,which requires intervention due to the heightened risk of bleeding and infection(Blayney and Schwartzberg,2022).Currently,there are no FDA-approved treatments for CIT(Song and Al-Samkari,2023).While a CIT mouse model using 5-FU has been developed for drug evaluation(Shin et al.,2023),it lacks a comprehensive hematotoxicity assessment and the benefits of high throughput,cost-effectiveness,and ***,it is urgent to develop a high-throughput CIT model for risk assessment and safer chemotherapy strategies with clinical potential.
