BACKGROUND In the context of aortic dissection,increasing pressure within the newly formed false lumen can result in the progressive compression of the true aortic ***,true lumen collapse in chronic type B aortic dissection(cTBAD)patients is rare,with few clinical or experimental studies to date having explored the causes of such *** SUMMARY In the present report,we describe a rare case of true-lumen collapse in an 83-yearold patient diagnosed with cTBAD,and we discuss potential therapeutic interventions for such *** thoracic endovascular aortic repair(TEVAR),computed tomography angiography revealed satisfactory stent-graft positioning,no endoleakage,true lumen enlargement,thrombus formation in the false lumen,and slight enlargement of the true lumen distal to the *** hemodynamic analyses indicated that the wall shear stress and pressure within the false lumen were significantly reduced following *** TEVAR treatment of cTBAD patients suffering from proximal true lumen collapse can facilitate some degree of effective remodeling.

Advanced machine learning(ML)approaches such as transfer learning have seldom been applied to approximate quantum many-body *** we demonstrate that a simple recurrent unit(SRU)based efficient and transferable sequence learning framework is capable of learning and accurately predicting the time evolution of the one-dimensional(ID)Ising model with simultaneous transverse and parallel magnetic fields,as quantitatively corroborated by relative entropy measurements between the predicted and exact state *** a cost of constant computational complexity,a larger many-body state evolution is predicted in an autoregressive way from just one initial state,without any guidance or knowledge of any *** work paves the way for future applications of advanced ML methods in quantum many-body dynamics with knowledge only from a smaller system.

Background： Gastric stromal tumors arising from the muscularis propria are located in deeper layers. Endoscopic resection may be contraindicated due to the possibility of perforation. These tumors are therefore usually removed by surgical or laparoscopic procedures. This study evaluated the curative effects, safety and feasibility of endoscopic full-thickness resection （EFR） of gastric stromal tumors originating from the muscularis propria. Methods： This study enrolled 92 patients with gastric stromal tumors 〉2.5 cm originating from the muscularis propria. Fifty patients underwent EFR, and 42 underwent laparoscopic intragastric surgery. Operation time, complete resection rate, length of hospital stay, incidence of complications, and recurrence rates were compared in these two groups. Results： EFR resulted in complete resection of all 50 gastric stromal tumors, with a mean procedure time of 85± 20 min, a mean hospitalization time of 7.0± 1.5 days and no complications. Laparoscopic intragastric surgery also resulted in a 100% complete resection rate, with a mean operation time of 88 ± 12 min and a mean hospitalization period of 7.5 ± 1.6 days. The two groups did not differ significantly in operation time, complete resection rates, hospital stay or incidence of complications （P 〉 0.05）. No patient in either group experienced tumor recurrence. Conclusions： EFR technique is effective and safe for the resection of gastric stromal tumors arising from the muscularis propria.

Background and Objective: Pyrazolone derivatives were reported to have a potent cytotoxicity against some tumor cells. In the present study, we evaluated the cytotoxic activity of a series of pyrazolone derivatives against four human tumor cell lines including HepG2, OVCAR3, KB, and multidrug resistance (MDR) KBv200 cell lines in vitro and in vivo. Additionally, the structure-activity relationships of these compounds were discussed. Methods: To analyze the antiproliferative potential of the synthesized compounds against several human tumor cell lines, the 50% inhibitory concentration (IC50) values were determined by MTT assay. Besides, the KBv200 cell xenograft experimental model was established and the sensitivity to the pyrazolone compounds was compared between drug-sensitive parental KB cells and MDR KBv200 cells. Results: Of 13 compounds screened, compound 9 presented remarkable anticancer effects, of which IC50 values were (3.24 ± 0.28), (2.58 ± 0.61), (3.81 ± 0.02), and (3.45 ± 0.03) μg/mL in HepG2, OVCAR3, KB and MDR KBv200 cells, respectively (P > 0.05). Furthermore, compound 9 effectively inhibited tumor growth of KBv200 cell xenografts in vivo, the inhibition ratio was 25.37%, 38.43%, and 47.50% for 1.5 mg/kg, 3 mg/kg, and 6 mg/kg of compound 9 groups, respectively. Conclusion: Compound 9 was the most promising antitumor agent in this study.

As a vital chemical,ammonia(NH3)plays an irreplaceable role in many fields such as chemical synthesis and energy *** renewable biomass can be converted into biofuels,but its nitrogen resources are underused ***-driven pyrolysis is envisaged to debuts as a bridge to connect them to realize the direct conversion from nitrogen-rich biomass into *** pulsed laser-induced local-transient thermal effect recognized the biological nitrogen resources conversion,such as cheap and plentiful yeasts,to small gaseous molecules and achieved spectacular ammonia production rate up to 260.4 mg/h,an order of magnitude higher performance than thermochemical ammonia ***,the tiny hot point generated by a low-energy laser(20W)guarantees the whole ammonia synthesis reaction systemis in amild environment of low temperature and normal ***,the remaining solid residue after laser-driven pyrolysis also can be further exploited as a highly active catalyst for electrocatalytic nitrate reduction reaction(NIRR).

Patients suffering from hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) with tumor thrombus in the portal vein generally have a poor prognosis. Portal vein tumor thrombus must be distinguished from portal vein blood thrombus, and this identification plays a very important role in management of HCC. Conventional imaging modalities have limitations in discrimination of portal vein tumor thrombus. The application of positron emission tomography (PET) with 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose (18F-FDG) for discrimination between tumor extension and blood thrombus has been reported in few cases of HCC, while portal tumor thrombosis and portal vein clot identified by 18F-FDG PET/CT in HCC patients has not been reported so far. We present two HCC cases, one with portal vein tumor thrombus and one thrombosis who were identified with 18F-FDG PET/CT. This report illustrates the complimentary value of combining the morphological and functional imaging in achieving a correct diagnosis in such clinical situations.

Aqueous electrochromic battery(ECB)has shown intense potential for achieving energy storage and saving *** tungsten oxide(WO_(3))is the most promising EC material for commercialization,the cycling stability of WO_(3)-based aqueous ECBs is currently unsatisfactory due to the repeated phase transition during the redox process and the corrosion by acidic ***,we present a titanium-tungsten oxide alloy(Ti-WO_(3))with controllable morphology and crystal phase synthesized by a facile hot injection method to overcome the *** contrast to conventional monoclinic WO_(3),the Ti-WO_(3)nanorods can stably maintain their cubic crystal phase during the redox reaction in an acidic electrolyte,thus leading to dramatically enhanced response speed and cycling stability,Specifically,when working in a well-matched hybrid Al^(3+)/Zn^(2+)aqueous electrolyte,our phasetransition-free cubic Ti-WO_(3)exhibits an ultra-high cycling stability(>20000 cycles),fast response speed(3,95 s/4,65 s for bleaching/coloring),as well as excellent discharge areal capacity of 214.5 mA h m^(-2),We further fabricate a fully complementa ry aqueous electrochromic device,for the first time,using a Ti-WO_(3)/Prussian blue device ***,the complementary ECB shows>10000 stable operation cycles,attesting to the feasibility of our Ti-WO_(3)for practical *** work validates the significance of inhibiting the phase transitions of WO_(3)during the electrochromic process for realizing highly cyclable aqueous ECB,which can possibly provide a generalized design guidance for other high-quality metallic oxides for electrochemical applications.
