Rapid and scalable preparation of highly quaternized polymer networks to achieve efficient simultaneous adsorption of iodide and pertechnetate

The efficient separation of fission products,such as TcO4-and I-,holds strategic significance for the management of radioactive wastes and environmental *** this study,we propose an ultrafast strategy for scalable preparation of a highly quaternized organic network to facilitate efficient and synchronous separation of iodide and *** network can be prepared within a few minutes at room temperature,using polyethylenimine and 1,2,4,5-tetrakis（bromomethyl）benzene as building *** chlorine replacement,the network,abundantly decorated with quaternary ammonium groups （Cl@QPN）,exhibits an ultrahigh positive charge density of 7.6 mmol/*** enables the rapid and efficient enrichment of target anions through strong electrostatic Coulomb *** a result,Cl@QPN exhibits significantly higher adsorption rate constants of 0.830 g/（mg min） for ReO4-（a nonradioactive surrogate of TcO4-） and 0.677 g/（mg min） for I-compared to other ***,it possesses high adsorption capacities,reaching 1,681 mg/g for ReO4-and 917.4 mg/g for I-.Cl@QPN also demonstrates good selectivity towards target ions and shows efficient adsorption for99TcO4-.Additionally,Cl@QPN exhibits high dynamic processing capacities,handling up to 3,100 and 7,400 kg of simulated streams per kilogram of material for I-and ReO4-,respectively.

Synchrotron-based angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy was employed to investigate the temperature evolution of the Yb 4 f spectral for surface and bulk in the Kondo lattice YbCu_(2)Si_(2).Our study quantitatively distinguishes between the surface and bulk hybridization processes,revealing that the onset temperatures for both surface and bulk hybridization processes are significantly higher than the Kondo ***,we found that the effective surface Kondo temperature is much lower than that of the *** findings offer valuable insights into the understanding of heavy fermion physics.

Background and Aims:Hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury(HIRI)is a prevalent complication of liver transplantation,partial hepatectomy,and severe infection,necessitating the development of more effective clinical *** activity–modifying protein 1(RAMP1),a member of the G protein–coupled receptor adapter family,has been implicated in numerous physiological and pathological *** study aimed to investigate the pathogenesis of RAMP1 in ***:We established a 70%liver ischemia-reperfusion model in RAMP1 knockout(KO)and wild-type *** and blood samples were collected after 0,6,and 24 h of hypoxia/*** histological and serological analyses were performed to evaluate liver *** also conducted in-vitro and in-vivo experiments to explore the molecular mechanism underlying RAMP1 ***:Liver injury was exacerbated in RAMP1-KO mice compared with the sham group,as evidenced by increased cell death and elevated serum transaminase and inflammation *** was promoted in RAMP1-KO mice via the induction of hepatocyte apoptosis and inhibition of *** absence of RAMP1 led to increased activation of the extracellular signal–regulated kinase(ERK)/mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)pathway and yes-associated protein(YAP)phosphorylation,ultimately promoting ***772984,an ERK/MAPK phosphorylation inhibitor,and PY-60,a YAP phosphorylation inhibitor,reduced apoptosis in in-vitro and in-vivo ***:Our findings suggest that RAMP1 protects against HIRI by inhibiting ERK and YAP phosphorylation signal transduction,highlighting its potential as a therapeutic target for HIRI and providing a new avenue for intervention.

Mornaphthoate E(MPE)is a prenylated naphthoic acid methyl ester isolated from the roots of a famous Chinese medicinal plant Morinda officinalis and shows remarkable cytotoxicity against several human tumor cell *** the current project,the first total synthesis of(±)-MPE was achieved in seven steps and 5.6%overall *** the in vitro anti-tumor activity of MPE was first assessed for both enantiomers in two breast cancer cells,with the levoisomer exerting slightly better *** in vivo anti-tumor effect was further verified by applying the racemate in an orthotopic autograft mouse ***,MPE exerted promising anti-metastasis activity both in vitro and in vivo and showed no obvious toxicity on mice at the therapeutic *** investigations demonstrated that MPE acted as a tubulin polymerization stabilizer and disturbed the dynamic equilibrium of microtubules via regulating PI3K/Akt *** conclusion,our work has provided a new chemical template for the future design and development of next-generation tubulin-targeting chemotherapies.

In this study,a novel approach is proposed to achieve the uniformly dispersed Ru nanoparticles with N coordination loaded on three-dimensionally ordered macro/mesoporous carbon(3DOMMC)through simultaneous pyrolysis of Ru^(3+)and cyanamide on *** an alkaline medium,the synthesized catalysts exhibit exceptional hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)***,Ru-N/3DOMMC demonstrates a significantly low overpotential of 13.8 mV to achieve acrent density of 10 *** exhibits a mass activity 17.5 times higher than that of commercial Pt/*** outstanding performance could be attributed to the ultrahigh Ru dispersion and more efficient contact between active sites and reactant,which derived from the large specific surface area and interconnective three-dimensionally macro/mesopores of 3DOMMC.

The learning curve for transurethral enucleation with bipolar energy for benign prostate hyperplasia:a single-surgeon experience of 494 patients

This study was performed to investigate the learning curve of transurethral enucleation with bipolar energy(TUEB)for benignprostatic *** study involved 494 consecutive patients who underwent TUEB for benign prostatic hyperplasia fromAugust 2018 to March 2022 by one surgeon(SJJ,Seoul National University Bundang Hospital,Seongnam,Korea).The patientswere followed up at 1 week,1 month,3 months,and 6 months *** evaluate the learning curve of TUEB,perioperativeparameters including the enucleation ratio(enucleated tissue weight/transitional zone volume),TUEB efficiency(enucleatedtissue weight/operation time),and enucleation efficiency(enucleated tissue weight/enucleation time)were *** and postoperative complications were also assessed,including the International Prostate Symptom Score(IPSS),IPSSquality-of-life(QoL)score,and uroflowmetry *** patients’median age was 72(interquartile range[IQR]:66–78)years,and the estimated prostate volume and transitional zone volume were 63.0(IQR:46.0–90.6)ml and 37.1(IQR:24.0–60.0)ml,*** enucleation ratio,TUEB efficiency,and enucleation efficiency were 0.60(IQR:0.46–0.54)g ml−1,0.33(IQR:0.22–0.46)g min−1,and 0.50(IQR:0.35–0.72)g min−1,respectively,plateauing after 70 *** functional outcomes,including total IPSS,IPSS QoL score,and uroflowmetry outcomes,significantly improved at 6 months after TUEB(all P<0.05),but without significant differences over the learning ***-five(13.2%)patients developed complications after TUEB,21.5%of whom experienced major complications(Clavien–Dindo grade≥3).The rate of major complications declined as the number ofTUEB cases increased(P=0.013).Our results suggest that the efficiency of TUEB stabilized within 70 procedures.
