Development of a Derivatization-free GC-FID Method for Evaluation of Free Fatty Acid Levels in Plasma of Diabetic Nephropathy Patients

Metabolism of free fatty acids（FFAs） is related to several important physiological events and therefore their quantitaion in biological samples arouses extensive interest and *** gas chromatography with flame ionization detector（GC-FID） methods for the analysis of FFAs normally require derivatization of them in order to lower boiling *** this extra procedure tends to induce additional error and it is laborious and time-consuming.A derivatization-free method was therefore established in the present investigation to determine FFAs in human plasma by capillary（GC-FID）.After extraction of FFAs from plasma,a highly polar FFAP（free fatty acid in plasma） column was employed to directly quantitate FFAs concentration,free from derivatization *** sample pretreatments were carried out at room temperature,improving recovery of short-chain *** acid（C17：0） was employed as internal standard,and the proposed method was validated for recovery,precision,sensitivity,stabi-lity,and *** data show that it is suitable for clinical study that has been applied to the evaluation of FFAs levels in plasma of diabetic nephropathy（DN） patients during the course of ***-seven patients diagnosed with DN were admitted to the double-blind *** group（n=17） underwent solely basic treatment and the patients did not show significant change in FFAs concentration during six months of *** group（n=30） was supplied with traditional Chinese medicine besides basic *** six months of medication,their plasma concentration of palmitic acid（C16：0）,stearic acid（C18：0） and oleic acid（C18：1n-9） decreased while linolenic acid（C18：3n-3） increased significantly（P〈0.05）.These four compounds could be served as biomar-kers in the evaluation of drug efficacy,and their quantitation in plasma may provide additional information for disease progression in DN patients.

Vibration safety assessment and parameter analysis of buried oil pipelines based on vibration isolation holes under strong surface impact

Strong surface impact will produce strong vibration,which will pose a threat to the safety of nearby buried pipelines and other important lifeline *** on the verified numerical method,a comprehensive numerical parameter analysis is conducted on the key influencing factors of the vibration isolation hole(VIH),which include hole diameter,hole net spacing,hole depth,hole number,hole arrangement,and soil *** results indicate that a smaller ratio of net spacing to hole diameter,the deeper the hole,the multi-row hole,the hole adoption of staggered arrangements,and better site soil conditions can enhance the efficiency of the VIH *** average maximum vibration reduction efficiency within the vibration isolation area can reach 42.2%.The vibration safety of adjacent oil pipelines during a dynamic compaction projection was evaluated according to existing standards,and the measurement of the VIH was recommended to reduce excessive *** single-row vibration isolation scheme and three-row staggered arrangement with the same hole parameters are suggested according to different *** research findings can serve as a reference for the vibration safety analysis,assessment,and control of adjacent underground facilities under the influence of strong surface impact loads.

Several studies have found that transplantation of neural progenitor cells(NPCs)promotes the survival of injured ***,a poor integration rate and high risk of tumorigenicity after cell transplantation limits their clinical *** extracellular vesicles(sEVs)contain bioactive molecules for neuronal protection and *** studies have shown that stem/progenitor cell-derived sEVs can promote neuronal survival and recovery of neurological function in neurodegenerative eye diseases and other eye *** this study,we intravitreally transplanted sEVs derived from human induced pluripotent stem cells(hiPSCs)and hiPSCs-differentiated NPCs(hiPSC-NPC)in a mouse model of optic nerve *** results show that these intravitreally injected sEVs were ingested by retinal cells,especially those localized in the ganglion cell *** with hiPSC-NPC-derived sEVs mitigated optic nerve crush-induced retinal ganglion cell degeneration,and regulated the retinal microenvironment by inhibiting excessive activation of *** analysis further revealed that hiPSC-NPC derived sEVs transported neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory miRNA cargos to target cells,which had protective effects on RGCs after optic nerve *** findings suggest that sEVs derived from hiPSC-NPC are a promising cell-free therapeutic strategy for optic neuropathy.

Clinical effects of phospholipase D2 in attenuating acute pancreatitis

The promotion of quantum network applications demands the scalable connection of quantum resources. It is preferable to set up multiple logical networks coexisting on a single physical network infrastructure to accommodate a larger number of *** we present a quantum virtual network architecture that offers this level of scalability, without being constrained to a fixed physical-layer network relying solely on passive multiplexing components. The architecture can be understood as arising from the superposition of a fully connected entanglement distribution network and port-based virtual local area network, which group multiusers by access ports. In terms of hardware, we leverage a semiconductor chip with a high figure-of-merit modal overlap to directly generate high-quality polarization entanglement, and a streamlined polarization analysis module, which requires only one single-photon detector for each end user. We experimentally perform the BBM92 QKD protocol on the five-user quantum virtual network and demonstrate voice and image encryption on a campus area network. Our results may provide insights into the realization of large-scale quantum networks with integrated and cost-efficient photonic architecture.
