Spatial Distribution and Ecological Risk Assessment of Heavy Metals in Surface Sediment of Songhua River,Northeast China

The Songhua River,one of the seven major rivers in China,locates in Northeast China with 1897 km *** study aims to investigate the concentrations,distribution,source apportionment and ecological risk assessment of heavy metals including copper(Cu),zinc(Zn),cadmium(Cd),lead(Pb),nickel(Ni)and chromium(Cr)in main stream and tributaries of the Songhua River in Jilin Province,Northeast *** sediment samples(0–15 cm)were collected from 39 sampling sites in the Songhua River in July *** of Cu,Zn,Cd,Pb,Ni and Cr were *** mean concentrations of heavy metals were(24.0±9.2)mg/kg,(59.3±18.0)mg/kg,(4.0±2.1)mg/kg,(39.0±27.9)mg/kg,(18.5±8.6)mg/kg and(56.1±17.6)mg/kg for Cu,Zn,Cd,Pb,Cr and Ni,*** average contents of Cu,Cd,Pb,Cr and Ni were higher than their background *** concentrations of heavy metals were found in the lower reaches with industrial enterprises and cities along the Songhua ***,Pb and Ni might come from industrial sewage and mineral processing,while Cu and Cd were derived from electroplating wastewater and agricultural non-point source *** originated from lithogenic *** concentrations of Cu,Zn and Cr were below the effect range low(ERL)at all sites,while Cd,Pb and Ni concentrations were detected ranging from ERL to the effect range median(ERM)at more than 15%of *** of Ni exceeded ERM in more than 50%of *** mean toxic units of heavy metals in the Songhua River decreased following the order:Cd(6.7)>Pb(2.2)>Ni(1.6)>Cu(0.7)>Cr(0.5)=Zn(0.5).Potential ecological risk index was found to be higher in middle and lower reaches of the Songhua River,where Cd could impose an extremely high ecological risk.

Positive effect of Mo on mechanical properties of a Ni-42W-10Co-x Mo medium heavy alloy

In this study,a novel Ni-W-Co-Mo medium heavy alloy (MHA) was designed to improve its mechanical strength via Mo *** the Ni-42W-10Co-xM o alloy series,where x represents the weight percent of Mo and varies between 0,1,2,5,and 10,the microstructure transitions from a dendritic structure to a hypoeutectic structure as the Mo content increases from 0 to 5wt.%.Moreover,as the Mo content increases from 0to 10wt.%,the distribution of theμ-phase shifts from being individually dispersed to forming aggregates,and its volume fraction rises from 0.5%to 7.9%.Notably,theμ-phase evolves into an eutectic microstructure,which helps in minimizing the segregation of *** change is accompanied by a substantial enhancement in mechanical properties;specifically,the compressive yield strength at room temperature increases from 350 MPa to 646 MPa,indicating a significant 85%***,the microhardness increases from 230 HV to 304 *** dynamics simulations further reveal that the strengthening mechanism of Ni-42W-10Co-xM o alloys is Mo-induced solid solution strengthening and precipitation strengthening.

Palladium installed copper-organic framework for C–C coupling reactions

The formation of C–C bonds is a crucial aspect of organic synthesis. Synthesists' long-term objective is to identify novel catalysts to optimize reaction systems based on traditional transition metal catalysis. This study explores the synthesis and catalytic potential of palladium-installed covalent metal-organic frameworks(CMOFs) based on copper cyclic trinuclear units(Cu-CTUs). By incorporating palladium ions into the imine-based framework JNM-7 through a straightforward immersion method, we achieved a notable enhancement in catalytic activity for critical C–C coupling reactions, including C–H arylation and Sonogashira cross-coupling. The resulting JNM-7-Pd demonstrated remarkable stability and recyclability, maintaining its efficiency over at least three cycles without any decline in efficiency.

Molecular mechanisms of Baihedihuang decoction as a treatment for breast cancer related anxiety:A network pharmacology and molecular docking study

OBJECTIVE:To observe the effects of Bushenwenyanghuayu decoction(BD),a Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM),on the serum concentration of nerve growth factor(NGF) and bradykinin(BK),and protein and mRNA levels of NGF and bradykinin B_1receptor(BKB1R) in a mouse model of endometriosis ***:Seventy-five experimental female BALB/c mice were randomly divided into five groups,15 mice each:sham,model,BD high dose(61.67 g/kg),BD low dose(15.42 g/kg),and gestrinone(0.4 mg/kg) *** the mice except for those in the sham group underwent auto-transplantation surgery and were gavaged estradiol valerate(0.5 mg/kg,daily for 12 days) after *** the 12 th day,1 h after administration,writhing response was induced by intraperitoneal injection of oxytocin at 2 U/*** writhing frequency and latency were recorded and the volume of the ectopic foci was *** concentration of serum NGF and BK was detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay,the protein expression of NGF and BKB1 R was tested by immunohistochemistry and western blotting,and NGF and BKB1 R mRNAs were detected by real-time ***:Compared with the model group,the volume of the ectopic foci in the treatment groups was significantly lower(P < 0.01),the writhing frequency was decreased(P < 0.05),and the writhing latency was prolonged(P < 0.01).Compared with the sham group,serum NGF and BK levels in the model group were significantly increased(P <0.01).There were positive correlations for writhing frequency among the NGF and BK groups(P <0.01).The serum NGF and BK levels were significantly lower in the treatment groups than the model group(P < 0.05).The protein expression of NGF,BKB1 R was significantly decreased in the treatment groups compared with the model group(P < 0.01).NGF and BKB1 R mRNA expression was significantly decreased in the treatment groups compared with the model group(P < 0.01).CONCLUSION:NGF and BK/BKB1 R may play an important role in the development of endometriosis

Sedimentary Facies, Sequence Stratigraphic Patterns in Pre-Cenozoic Inland Compressional Basin: Example from Early Yanshanian Succession of Eastern Yihezhuang Salient, Jiyang Depression, Bohai Bay Basin, China

To improve the success rate of locating hydrocarbon reservoirs in pre-Cenozoic inland compressional basins, taking the Early Yanshanian succession of eastern Yihezhuang salient as an example, this paper studied the sedimentary facies and sequence stratigraphic patterns. First, through seismic profiles, well logs, cores and outcrops, the sequence framework was established and internal sedimentary facies were identified. Further, according to analysis of single-wells and connecting-wells, the vertical evolution and horizontal distribution of sedimentation inside the sequence frameworks were discussed. The following results were acquired:(1) meandering river characterized by dual structures superposing each other was developed, and the dual structures can be further divided into three kinds;(2) the entire Early Yanshanian succession was interpreted as one first-order sequence, composed of three third-order sequences, including SQ-Fz1, SQ-Fz2 and SQ-St from bottom to top. Each third-order sequence can be further divided into three system tracts;(3) in different system tracts, different types of dual structures developed separately, and sedimentary bodies showed different horizontal distribution scales and vertical superposition patterns. Finally, the model of sequence stratigraphic patterns was established. This study enhanced the use of sequence stratigraphy to inland tectonically active basins, and would be helpful to predict reservoirs in pre-Cenozoic residual basins.

Water quality characteristics along the course of the huangpu River (China)

huangpu River is about 114.5 km from upriver Dianfeng to downriver Wusong, near the estuary of the Yangtze River. It plays a key role in supplying water for production, life, shipment and irrigation. With the industrial development, the pollution of the huangpu River has become serious recently. The biological oxygen demand （BOD）, total nitrogen （TN）, total phosphorus （TP）, oil, phenol and suspended solids （SS） were lower in the upstream sites than in the downstream sites, indicating pollutants being input along its course. Water quality was the worst in the Yangpu site, near the center of Shanghai City. Dissolved oxygen （DO） content was less than 2 mg/L in the site of Yangpu in July. Among relations between thirteen characteristics, relations between BOD, DO, TN, TP, NH4^＋ -N, NO3^- -N and the count of total bacteria or Escherichia coli were significant and interdependent. Inner relationships between these main characteristics in the huangpu River were studied. High nutrient concentration led to growth of microorganisms, including E. coli. Degradation of organic matters and respiration of bacteria made oxygen concentration decreased in the water body, and DO was a key factor for nitrification-denitrification process of nitrogen. In the Yangpu site, DO was decreased to less than 3.0 mg/L with BOD higher than 7.5 mg/L in May and July. Low DO concentration will decrease nitrification rate. Nitrification need at higher DO value than other organic substrate oxidation. Consequently, river water contains low NO3^- -N values with high amounts of TN and NH4^＋ -N there. This will block the self-purification of surface water, by decreasing the rate of nitrification-denitrification transformation process in the water body.

Efficacy and safety of huaiqihuang granule as adjuvant treatment for primary nephrotic syndrome in children: a meta-analysis and systematic review
