The collision of ships poses a great threat to the piers in navigable *** kinetic energy of the moving ship can be consumed not only with the structural deformation,but also with tensile force from the proposed Floating Two-stage Buffer Collision-Prevention System(FTBCPS).The actual anti-collision effect of the current designed FTBCPS can be evaluated by the dynamic *** construction method of 3D model is introduced,and the system initial state is *** transformation matrix and the basic kinematics vector are given,and the system basic dynamics equation is then *** mechanical analysis on each component is carried out,and the detailed process of numerical simulation is also *** simulation results indicate that collision direction and collision position have a great influence on the system kinematic *** pier faces the greatest threat when a ship hits the floater on the front beam in a nearly vertical direction,or on the side beam in a larger course *** study shows that the current designed FTBCPS can make full use of the fracture tensile property of polyester ropes and keep the tensile force acted on pier within its bearable range at the same *** collision direction has a significant effect on the dynamic response of the colliding bodies,but no failure appeared in the simulations,which indicates that the current designed FTBCPS can protect bridge piers of all cases for the 5000-t ship with a velocity smaller than 5 m/s in navigable waters.

AIM: To investigate multiple polyps in a Chinese PeutzJeghers syndrome(PJS) infant. METHODS: A nine-month-old PJS infant was admitted to our hospital for recurrent prolapsed rectal polyps for one month. The clinical characteristics, a colonoscopic image, the pathological characteristics of the polyps and X-ray images of the intestinal perforation were obtained. Serine threonine-protein kinase 11(STK11) gene analysis was also performed using a DNA sample from this ***: Here we describe the youngest known Chinese infant with PJS. Five polyps, including a giant polyp of approximately 4 cm × 2 cm in size, were removed from the infant's intestine. Laparotomy was performed to repair a perforation caused by pneumoperitoneum. The pathological results showed that this child had PJS. Molecular analysis of the STK11 gene further revealed a novel frameshift mutation(c.64_65het_del AT) in exon 1 in this PJS ***: The appropriate treatment method for multiple polyps in an infant must be carefully considered. Our results also show that the STK11 gene mutation is the primary cause of PJS.

Based on the elastic foundation beam theory and the multi-floating-module hydrodynamic theory,a novel method is proposed to estimate the dynamic responses of VLFS(Very Large Floating Structure).In still water,a VLFS can be simplified as an elastic foundation beam model or a multi-floating-module model connected by elastic *** to equivalent displacement of the two models in static analysis,the problem of rotation stiffness of elastic hinges can be ***,based on the potential flow theory,the dynamic responding analysis of multi-floatingmodule model under wave loads can be computed in ANSYS-AQWA *** assembling the time domain analysis results of each module,the dynamic responses of the VLFS can be *** of the method is conducted through a series of comparison calculations,which mainly includes a continuous structure and a three-part structure connected by hinges in regular *** results of this paper method show a satisfactory agreement with the experiment and calculation data given in relative references.

Highly active electrocatalysts based on Layered Double Hydroxides(LDH)towards oxygen evolution reactions(OER)are required for the applications of renewable energy-conversion *** improvement of conductivity and electron-transporting capability for LDH materials remains an enormous challenge ***,we synthesized carbon nanotube supported quaternary FeCoNiW-LDH ultrathin nanosheets with 1 nm thickness via one-pot hydrothermal methods,which exhibit enhanced OER activity due to the synergistic effect of modified CNTs and doped W^6+onto LDH nanosheets *** loaded carbon nanotubes can directly result in the improved *** addition,W^6+doping in LDH can modify the electronic structure and further enhance the conductivity of ***-LDH/CNT exhibits a small overpotential(258 mV)at a current density of 10 mA·cm^–2 and low Tafel slope(41 mV decade^–1)towards OER in alkaline solutions,outperforming the noble metal RuO2 catalysts.

Side deep placement of nitrogen plays an important role in improving rice yield and nitrogen use *** studies have examined the effects of reducing the times of nitrogen(RTN)application and reducing the nitrogen rate(RNR)of application on rice yield and nitrogen use efficiency under side deep placement of nitrogen in paddy ***,a field experiment of RNT and RNR treatments was conducted with nine fertilization modes during the 2018–2019 rice growing seasons in a rice–wheat cropping system of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River,*** yield and nitrogen use efficiency were investigated under side deep placement of *** found that under the same nitrogen application rate,the yield of RTN3 increased by 9.64 and 10.18%in rice varieties NJ9108 and NJ5718,respectively,compared with the farmers’fertilizer practices(FFP).The nitrogen accumulation of RTN3 was the highest at heading stage,at 11.30 t ha^(–1)across 2018 and *** the same nitrogen application rate,the N agronomic use efficiency(NAE),N physiological efficiency(NPE)and N recovery efficiency(NRE)of RTN3 were 8.1–21.28%,8.51–41.76%and 0.28–14.52%higher than those of the other fertilization modes,*** led to decreases in SPAD value,leaf area index(LAI),dry matter accumulation,nitrogen accumulation,and nitrogen use *** results suggest that RTN3 increased rice yield and nitrogen use efficiency under the side deep placement of nitrogen,and RNR1 could achieve the goals of saving cost and increasing resource use *** fertilization modes RTN3 and RNR1 both could achieve the dual goals of increasing grain yield and resource use efficiency and thus are worth further application and investigation.

The excitation functions of two very similar reaction channels, 58Fe＋ 208pb→ 265Hs ＋ 1n and 58Fe＋ 209Bi → 266Mt ＋1n are studied in the framework of the dinuclear system conception. The fusion probabilities are found to be strongly subject to the structure of the driving potential. Usually the fusion probability is hindered by a barrier from the injection channel towards the compound nuclear configuration. The barrier towards the mass symmetrical direction, however, also plays an important role for the fusion probability, because the barrier hinders the quasi-fission, and therefore helps fusion.

In this study we have used a combinatorial approach for producing binary and ternary alloy thin film libraries using a lab-scale RF co-sputtering system. Initially we used two elemental sputtering targets, i.e. aluminum (Al) target and neodymium (Nd) target, to produce a film library of varying composition and successfully identified a suitable composition range (1.95–2.38 at% Nd) in which resistance to hillock formation and resistivity of the film spots were found to be satisfactory in annealed state (350°C, 30 min). In another case, in order to form ternary alloy composition library we have used two sputtering targets, i.e. an Al-0.5 at% Nd alloy target and an elemental Ni target. Though, co-sputtered Al-0.6 at% Nd-0.9 at% Ni alloy films showed satisfactory resistance to hillock formation and low resistivity after annealing, film deposited from a ternary alloy target with the same composition failed to show satisfactory resistance to hillock formation during annealing. In case of Al-0.6 at% Nd-0.9 at% Ni alloy target, 250 nm thick film showed poor resistance to hillock formation than the 500 nm thick film. This clearly showed thickness-dependent hillock performance of Al-0.6 at% Nd-0.9 at% Ni alloy. In this study it was found that, in addition to the process variables, metallurgical microstructure of the alloy sputtering targets had significant effect on the film properties which was not obvious from the results of films deposited using co-sputtering of the individual elemental targets.

With the incredible growth of high-dimensional data such as microarray gene expression data and web blogs from internet, the researchers are desirable to develop new clustering techniques to address the critical problem created by irrelevant dimensions. Properties of Nonnegative Matrix Factorization(NMF) as a clustering method were studied by relating its formulation to other methods such as K-means clustering. In this paper, by introducing clustering indicator constraints on NMF and incorporating manifold regularization to preserve geometric structures,we propose a novel manifold regularized NMF method that can simultaneously learn subspace and do clustering. As a result, our clustering results can directly assign cluster label to data points. Extensive experimental results show that our method outperforms related other methods.
