Purpose:Traumatic brain injury(TBI),currently a major global public health problem,imposes a significant economic burden on society and *** aimed to quantify and predict the incidence and severity of TBI by analyzing its incidence,prevalence,and years lived with disability(YLDs).The epidemiological changes in TBI from 1990 to 2019 were described and updated to provide a reference for developing prevention,treatment,and incidence-reducing measures for ***:A secondary analysis was performed on the incidence,prevalence,and YLDs of TBI by sex,age group,and region(n=21,204 countries and territories)between 1990 and 2019 using the Global Burden of Diseases,Injuries,and Risk Factors Study *** in the age-standardized incidence rate due to underlying causes of TBI and proportions of minor and moderate or severe TBI were also ***:In 2019,there were 27.16 million(95%uncertainty intervals(UI):23.36-31.42)new cases of TBI worldwide,with age-standardized incidence and prevalence rates of 346 per 100,000 population(95%UI:298-401)and 599 per 100,000 population(95%UI:573-627),*** 1990 to 2019,there were no significant trends in global age-standardized incidence(estimated annual percentage changes:-0.11%,95%UI:-0.18%--0.04%)or prevalence(estimated annual percentage changes:0.01%,95%UI:-0.04%-0.06%).TBI caused 7.08 million(95%UI:5.00-9.59)YLDs in 2019,with age-standardized rates of 86.5 per 100,000 population(95%UI:61.1-117.2).In 2019,the countries with higher incidence rates were mainly distributed in Central Europe,Eastern Europe,and *** 2019 global age-standardized incidence rate was higher in males than in *** 2019 global incidence of moderate and severe TBI was 182.7 per 100,000 population,accounting for 52.8%of all TBI,with falls and road traffic injuries being the main causes in most ***:The incidence of moderate and severe TBI was slightly higher in 2019,and TBI still accounts for a signi

Fragments produced in the reactions of 69 MeV/nucleon ^(36)Ar and ^(55)MeV/nucleon ^(40)Ar on a Be target have been measured *** isotopic distributions from fragmentation reaction for both projectiles are reproduced by using a modified statistical abrasion-ablation *** isospin effect exhibits in the isotopic distributions produced in ^(36)Ar and ^(40)Ar *** evidence is seen for the disappearance of the isospin effect in fragmentation reaction.

Total reaction cross sections σR for some proton-rich isotones (N = 10) near ^(23)Al on a carbon target have been measured at intermediate energies in the experiment performed at the Radioactive Ion Beam Line of the Heavy Ion Research Facility in Lanzhou. The Z-dependence of σR shows a remarkable enhancement for ^(23)Al relative to its neighbours. The difference factor d has been deduced from the measured σR by using the Glauber or Boltzmann-Uehling-Uhlenbeck models. From the above analysis, a possible one-proton halo structure is suggested for ^(23)Al.

To construct and express the fusion protein Stx2B-IntiminC300 of EHEC O157 ： H7, and to further investigate its immunoprophylactic potential, the gene of Stx2B （stx2b） from EHEC O157：H7 chromosome was cloned into pMD18-T vector. Thereafter, the amplified gene was cloned into prokary- otic expression plasmid pET-28a （＋）-eaeC300, which was constructed previously. The recombinant pasmid pET-28a（＋）-stx2b-eaeC300 was transformed into E. coli BL21 （DE3）. After inducement, the protein Stx2B-IntiminC300 was successfully expressed and analyzed with sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis （SDS-PAGE）, Western blotting and N-terminal amino acid residual sequencing. To evaluate its immunoprophylactic potential, it was primarily purified by ion-exchange chromatography and injected into 30 BALB/c mice with AI（OH）3 in the subscapular region. Ten days after the last booster vaccination, 20 mice were attacked with EHEC O157：H7 lysate and the protective efficacy was observed. In the present study, the gene of Stx2B-intiminC300 was successfully cloned into pET-28a （＋） vector. The results of SDS-PAGE and Western blotting assay showed that the fusion protein was successfully expressed in the inclusion body form, accounting for 25 % of total expression products, and its molecular weight was about 43 kDa. The result of the N-terminal amino acid residual sequencing showed that it was identical to that of the molecular designed. The purity was about 75 % after primary purification. Animal tests revealed that the fusion protein Stx2B-intiminC300 has elicited high titer of protective antibody relatively. These results demonstrate that the fusion protein Stx2B-IntiminC300 is successfully expressed in prokaryotic expression system and shows certain immunoprophylactic potential.

The neutron capture cross sections(n,γ)of bromine were obtained using the time-of-flight technique at the Back-n facility of the China Spallation Neutron ***γ-rays originating from neutron-induced capture events were detected using four C_(6)D_(6) *** pulse-height weighting technique and double-bunch unfolding method based on Bayesian theory were used in the data *** deductions,normalization,and corrections were carefully considered to obtain reliable measurement *** multilevel R-matrix Bayesian code SAMMY was used to extract the resonance parameters in the resolved resonance region(RRR).The average cross sections in the unresolved resonance region(URR)were obtained from 10 to 400 *** experimental results were compared with data from several evaluated libraries and previous experi-ments in the RRR and *** TALYS code was used to describe the average cross sections in the *** astrophysical maxwell average cross sections(maCSs)of ^(79,81)Br from kT=5 to 100 keV were calculated over a sufficiently wide range of neutron *** a thermal energy of kT=30 keV,the maCS value for ^(79)Br 682±68 mb was in good agreement with the KADoNiS v1.0 recommended *** contrast,the value of 293±29 mb for ^(81)Br was substantially higher than that of the evaluated database and the KADoNiS v1.0 recommended value.

为探索低浓度生化尾水生物深度处理的快速挂膜方法,采用4种方法(投加壳聚糖法、投加铁离子法、接种排泥法和自然挂膜法)进行挂膜,考察其对生物膜主要特性(生物膜量MLSS、胞外聚合物(EPS))和废水处理效果的影响.结果表明:在挂膜期间,投加壳聚糖法有利于生物膜量、EPS迅速增加,两者平均含量达到4种方法中的最大值,分别为(9.26±3.30)mg/cm^(3)和(4_(2.5)1±33.49)mg/(gSS),但其生物膜活性f值最低,污染物的去除效果不是最佳;投加铁离子成膜时,生物膜特性稳定,活性高,污染物去除效果最佳,COD_(Cr)、NH^(+)_(4)-N、TP去除率分别较快稳定在(66.13±2.30)%、(92.03±7.72)%和(62.75±4.41)%;接种排泥法的生物膜量、EPS均含量、污染物去除效果比投加壳聚糖、铁离子法稍低;自然挂膜法前期对污染物去除率低,稳定时间较长,除TP外,COD_(Cr)、NH^(+)_(4)-N去除率在挂膜后期与投加壳聚糖法、接种排泥法相差不大.综合地看,投加铁离子法,虽然生物膜量、EPS含量略低于投加壳聚糖法,但生物膜活性高、污染去除效果好,是低浓度尾水挂膜的最佳方法.

Introduction:Early and normative surgery is the only curative method for multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2(MEN 2)-related medullary thyroid carcinoma(MTC). Aims:To study the timing of prophylactic total thyroidectomy(TT) for MEN 2-related MTC with different RET mutations in a Chinese population,and to compare the sensitivity and accuracy of fully-automated chemiluminescence immunoassay(FACLIA) and radioimmunoassay(RIA) for serum calcitonin(Ct). Msthods:We collected 24 asymptomatic individuals from 8 unrelated Chinese families with MEN 2,and analyzed RET mutation and Ct *** we performed TT on 17 of the 24 individuals,including TT (2/17),TT with bilateral level VI lymph-node dissection(B-LND(VI);12/17) and TT with B-LND(VI) + modified unilateral/bilateral/local neck dissection(3/17). Results:Histopathology revealed bilateral/unilateral MTC in 15/17(88.2%;median diameter,1.0 cm) and bilateral C-cell hyperplasia in 2/17(11.8%;p.V292M/R67H/R982C and p.C618Y).Lymph-node metastasis/ fibro-adipose tissue invasion(p.C634R) or solely fibro-adipose tissue invasion(p.C634Y) were found in 2/ 17(11.8%).Elevated pre-surgical Ct(pre-Ct) was identified by FACLIA in 17/17(median age,24.0), while pre-Ct by RIA was found in only 6/15(P mality(one p.C634R individual had elevated Ct),and another 7 carriers still had consistently undetectable Ct by FACLIA. Conclusions:Our study highlights the importance and feasibility of individualized prophylactic TT for MEN 2-related MTC,based on predictive integrated screening of RET and pre-Ct ***,we recommend FACLIA to measure Ct for earlier diagnosis,treatment and follow-up monitoring of MTC.

mammalian target of rapamycin(m TOR) inhibitor as an attractive drug target with promising antitumor effects has been widely investigated. High quality clinical trial has been conducted in liver transplant(LT) recipients in Western countries. However, the pertinent studies in Eastern world are paucity. Therefore, we designed a clinical trial to test whether sirolimus can improve recurrence-free survival(RFS) in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) patients beyond the Milan criteria after LT. This is an open-labeled, single-arm, prospective, multicenter, and real-world study aiming to evaluate the clinical outcomes of early switch to sirolimus-based regimens in HCC patients after LT. Patients with a histologically proven HCC and beyond the Milan criteria will be enrolled. The initial immunosuppressant regimens are center-specifc for the frst 4-6 weeks. The following regimens integrated sirolimus into the regimens as a combination therapy with reduced calcineurin inhibitors based on the condition of patients and centers. The study is planned for 4 years in total with a 2-year enrollment period and a 2-year follow-up. We predict that sirolimus conversion regimen will provide survival benefts for patients particular in the key indicator RFS as well as better quality of life. If the trial is conducted successfully, we will have a continued monitoring over a longer follow-up time to estimate indicator of overall survival. We hope that the outcome will provide better evidence for clinical decision-making and revising treatment guidelines based on Chinese population data.
