Intermetallic formation in sludge during magnesium(Mg)melting,h.lding and h.gh.pressure die casting practices is a very important ***,very often it is overlooked by academia,original equipment manufacturers(OEM),metal ingot producers and even die *** aim of th.s study was to minimize th. intermetallic formation in Mg sludge via th. optimization of th. ch.mistry and process *** Al8Mn5 intermetallic particles were identified by th. microstructure analysis based on th. Objective: Th. aim of th. work described h.re was to evaluate th. role of contrast-enh.nced ultrasound (CEUS) in response evaluation for unresectable advanced h.patocellular carcinoma (h.C) treated with.tyrosine kinase inh.bitors (TKIs) plus anti-programmed cell death.protein-1 (PD-1) antibody th.rapy. Meth.ds: A prospective coh.rt of consecutive patients with.h.C wh. received combined TKI/anti-PD-1 antibody treatment for unresectable h.C between January 2022 and October 2022 was included in th.s study. Th. patients underwent unenh.nced ultrasound (US) and CEUS examinations before treatment and at follow-up. Ch.nges in th. largest diameters of th. target tumor on unenh.nced US and th. largest diameters of th. enh.ncing target tumors on CEUS were evaluated. Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors (RECIST) version 1.1 with.unenh.nced US and magnetic resonance imaging/computed tomograph. (MRI/CT) and modified RECIST (mRECIST) with.CEUS and CEMRI/CT were used to assess treatment response. Results: A total of 24 h.C patients (23 men and 1 woman; mean age: 56.5 ± 8.5 y; Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer stage C, 62.5%; 29 intrah.patic target tumors) were studied. Calculations of degree of necrosis in th. target tumors revealed no significant differences between CEUS and CEMRI/CT (44.5 ± 36.2% vs. 45.3 ± 36.8%, p = 0.862). As for th. differentiation of responders from non-responders, th. agreement between RECIST version 1.1 of unenh.nced US and mRECIST-CEUS was poor (κ coefficient = 0.233). Meanwh.le, th.re was a h.gh.degree of concordance between mRECIST-CEUS and mRECIST-CEMRI/CT (κ coefficient = 0.812). Conclusion: CEUS proved to be superior to baseline US and is comparable to CEMRI/CT in defining treatment outcome for combined TKI/anti-PD-1 antibody th.rapy. © 2023 World Federation for Ultrasound in Medicine & Biology

CO_(2) flow rate increases,wh.ch.avoids h.gh.frequency and h.gh.amplitude th.rmoacoustic *** amplitude-damped ratio of dynamic pressure and Ch.can reach.as h.gh.as 98.75% and 93.64% with.an optimal open area ratio of 3.72%.NO_(x) emissions also decrease as th. jet flow rate increases,and th. maximum suppression ratio can reach.68.14%.Besides,th. flame sh.pe ch.nges from a steep inverted "V" to a more flat "M",and th. flame length.will become sh.rter with.CO_(2) opposing multiple *** research.ach.eved th. synch.onous control of th.rmoacoustic instability and NO_(x) emissions,wh.ch.could be a design reference for constructing a safer and cleaner combustor.
