Starch/polyvinyl alcohol （PVA） blended materials for using as a solid carbon source （SCS） were prepared by blending PVA and gelatinized starch in an aqueous solution system, in which PVA served as framework material and starch as carbon source. The optimization of starch content and temperature effects were investigated. It was indicated that higher denitrification efficiency could be achieved with more starch in the materials. The average specific denitrification rates were 0.93, 0.66, 0.37 and 0.36 mg/（g·day） corresponding to starch content of 70%, 60%, 40% and 30% respectively at 37℃. The denitrification rates increased when operating temperature was raised from 23℃ to 30℃ and then 37℃. The mechanism of carbon release was analyzed incorporating the experimental results of abiotic release in deionized water. The organic carbon was mainly hydrolyzed by microbes, and the biological release efficiencies were at the range of 89.2% to 96.0%. A long-term experiment with a continuous flow reactor with SCS material containing 70% starch was conducted to gain some experience for practical application. When the influent nitrate concentration was in the range of 35.2 to 39.1 mg/L, hydraulic retention time of 4 hr, and operating temperature of 30℃, a nitrogen removal efficiency up to 94.6% and denitrification rate of 0.217 kg/（***） was achieved. The starch-based materials developed in this study can be used as a solid carbon source for tertiary nitrogen removal from secondary effluent.

Optical filters are essential parts of advanced optical communication and sensing *** them,the ones with an ultrawide free spectral range(FSR)are especially *** are promising to provide access to numerous wavelength channels highly desired for large-capacity optical transmission and multipoint multiparameter *** schemes for wide-FSR filters either suffer from limited cavity length or poor fabrication tolerance or impose an additional active-tuning control *** theoretically and experimentally demonstrate a filter that features FSR-free operation capability,subnanometer optical bandwidth,and acceptable fabrication *** one single deep dip within a record-large waveband(S+C+L band)is observed by appropriately designing a side-coupled Bragg-grating-assisted Fabry–Perot filter,which has been applied as the basic sensing unit for both the refractive index and temperature *** such basic units are also cascaded in series to demonstrate a multichannel *** work provides a new insight to design FSR-free filters and opens up a possibility of flexible large-capacity integration using more wavelength channels,which will greatly advance integrated photonics in optical communication and sensing.

为研究露天边坡破坏的细观机制,以石宝铁矿为研究背景,基于颗粒流软件PFC2D建立了露天边坡模型。对岩石材料的细观参数进行了标定,模拟再现边坡滑坡的发生及发展全程的细观结构演化特征。结果表明,在1.2倍重力工况下边坡总体稳定,坡体模型内部没有发生明显的滑动面,但坡面台阶的破坏,可能对后续的边坡稳定造成不良影响。该分析结果对该露天矿设计、优化与施工具有重要的指导意义。

为系统研究抽穗期高温胁迫对水稻产量构成以及稻米品质的影响,以江西省普遍推广种植的8个水稻品种为材料,测定各水稻品种在抽穗期高温胁迫下(38℃/32℃,昼/夜)抽穗期、穗部性状、产量构成和稻米品质的差异。结果表明,抽穗期高温胁迫下,水稻抽穗期缩短,穗部发育受到抑制,穗长和穗重显著下降。高温胁迫导致各品种产量下降了27.44%~40.33%,产量构成中以千粒重的下降幅度较大。高温胁迫导致籽粒淀粉和蔗糖含量、糙米率、精米率和整精米率下降,葡萄糖和果糖含量、垩白粒率及垩白度升高。黄华占和湘两优900在抽穗期高温胁迫下的产量损失较小,与对照处理相比,有较高的穗长、穗重和穗粒数,以及较小的籽粒淀粉和蔗糖含量下降幅度。产量损失较大的品种为粤王丝苗和湘两优2号。高温胁迫下水稻品种各指标的综合抗逆系数与产量损失高度一致。综上,抽穗期高温胁迫对水稻产量形成和稻米品质的影响具有一致性,产量损失较大的品种其稻米品质受影响也较大。

Tripterygium hypoglaucum extract ameliorates adjuvant-induced arthritis in mice through the gut microbiota

Traditionally,Tripterygium hypoglaucum(Levl.)Hutch(THH)are widely used in Chinese folk to treat rheumatoid arthritis(RA).This study aimed to investigate whether the anti-RA effect of THH is related with the gut *** main components of prepared THH extract were identified by HPLC-MS.C57BL/6 mice with adjuvant-induced arthritis(AIA)were treated with THH extract by gavage for one *** extract significantly alleviated swollen ankle,joint cavity exudation,and articular cartilage destruction in AIA *** mRNA and protein levels of inflammatory mediators in muscles and plasma indicated that THH extract attenuated inflammatory responses in the joint by blocking TLR4/MyD88/MAPK signaling *** extract remarkably restored the dysbiosis of the gut microbiota in AIA mice,featuring the increases of Bifidobacterium,Akkermansia,and Lactobacillus and the decreases of Butyricimonas,Parabacteroides,and ***,the altered bacteria were closely correlated with physiological indices and drove metabolic changes of the intestinal *** addition,antibiotic-induced pseudo germ-free mice were employed to verify the role of the intestinal ***,THH treatment failed to ameliorate the arthritis symptoms and signaling pathways in pseudo germ-free mice,which validates the indispensable role of the intestinal *** the first time,we demonstrated that THH extract protects joint inflammation by manipulating the intestinal flora and regulating the TLR4/MyD88/MAPK signaling ***,THH extract may serve as a microbial modulator to recover RA in clincial *** practice.
