Herein,a pair of chiral macrocyclic luminogens derived from chiral 1,1-bi(2-naphthol)(BINOL)and tetraphenylethenes(TPEs)have been prepared with high yield via intramolecular McMurry coupling,in which the preferential helicity of propeller-shaped TPE units can be tuned via choosing proper chiral BINOL *** preferential chiral geometry of the macrocyclic luminogen was unambiguously confirmed by X-ray crystal crystallography and theoretical calculation,whereas the variable-temperature NMR spectra and chiral HPLC analysis further verified the intramolecular *** two chiral macrocyclic luminogens both exhibit obvious aggregation-induced emission behavior and mechanochromic luminescence ***,aggregation attenuated CD signals and circularly polarized luminescence were observed for these two chiral macrocylic luminogens in THF-water mixture and PMMA *** results had paved a new approach toward constructing chiral aggregation-induced emission luminogens(AIEgens)and their structural engineering.

A gear position decision method used in automated mechanical transmission is introduced. The algorithm of the mechod is composed of a driving environment and driver's intention estimator, the shift schedules suit for each typical driving environment and driver's intention situation, and an inference ligic to determine the most proper gear position for the present situation. The estimator identifies the driving environment and driver's intention features which are divided into some typical models. Based on the identified results, the algorithm works out the best gear position. It just simulates the course of driver's making gear position decision when driving a automobile with manual transmission. The test results show that the automated mechanical transmission with the method gives less unnecessary shifting and more proper gear position than common shift schedules.

Increased nitrogen use efficiency via amino acid remobilization from source to sink organs in Brassica napus

NoGo game is similar to Go game, that means they have similar notion of group, killing, stones and chessboard. However, their rulers are completely different, or opposite, like the first player suicides, kills a group, or has no more legal moves, the opponent will win the game. In this paper, the patterns of NoGo are expounded in detail. The pattern values, the pattern sizes and the pattern formats are discussed. At the same time, an optimizing pattern matching algorithm is put forward to find out the best move for NoGo game. In addition, if the best move has not been found by the matching pattern algorithm, a modified UCT algorithm is also applied to play the NoGo game. The experimental results show that the proposed approaches are workable for NoGo.

Nitrogen(N)is an essential plant growth nutrient whose coordinated distribution from source to sink organs is crucial for seed development and overall crop *** compared high and low N use efficiency(NUE)Brassica napus(rapeseed)*** and transcriptomics revealed that leaf senescence induced by N deficiency promoted amino acid allocation from older to younger leaves in the high-NUE genotype at the vegetative growth *** source to sink remobilization of amino acids elevated the numbers of branches and pods per plant under a N-deficiency treatment during the reproductive stage.A15N tracer experiment confirmed that more amino acids were partitioned into seeds from the silique wall during the pod stage in the high-NUE genotype,owing mainly to variation in genes involved in organic N transport and *** suggest that the greater amino acid source-to-sink allocation efficiency during various growth stages in the high-NUE genotype resulted in higher yield and NUE under N *** findings support the hypothesis that strong amino acid remobilization in rapeseed leads to high yield,NUE,and harvest index.

Indium arsenide phosphide(In As P)nanowires(NWs),a member of theⅢ–Ⅴsemiconductor family,have been used in various photonic and optoelectronic applications thanks to their unique electrical and optical properties such as high carrier mobility and adjustable band *** this work,we synthesize In As P NWs and further explore their nonlinear optical *** ultrafast carrier dynamics and nonlinear optical response are thoroughly studied based on the nondegenerate pump probe and Z-scan experimental *** different characteristic carrier lifetimes(~2 and~15 ps)from In As P NWs are observed during the excited-carrier relaxation *** on the physical model analysis,the relaxation process can be ascribed to the carrier cooling process via carrier-phonon scattering and Auger *** addition,based on the measured excited-carrier lifetime and Pauli-blocking principle,we discover that In As P NWs show strong saturable absorption properties at the wavelengths of 532 and 1064 ***,we demonstrate for the first time a femtosecond(~426 fs)solid-state laser based on an In As P NWs saturable absorber at 1.04μ*** believe that our work provides a better understanding of the In As P NWs optical properties and will further advance their photonic applications in the near-infrared range.

The modification and functionalization of peptides is of great significance in modern biotechnology and drug development. Here we report a highly reactive Michael-type warhead for the covalently modification of cysteine on peptide and protein. By installing a vinyl group onto a methionine residue of peptide,the produced vinyl sulfonium can be efficiently nucleophilic added by appropriate cysteine residue of this peptide, and thus yield a cyclized peptide. This peptide cyclization strategy was proven to exhibit improved cell penetration and good stability. Moreover, a peptide ligand bearing vinyl sulfonium could covalently bind to the cysteine in the target protein, indicating the potential of vinyl sulfonium as a novel warhead for developing covalent peptide inhibitor.

Estimation of Shallow Landslide Susceptibility Incorporating the Impacts of Vegetation on Slope Stability

This study aimed to develop a physical-based approach for predicting the spatial likelihood of shallow landslides at the regional scale in a transition zone with extreme *** landslide susceptibility study in an area with diverse vegetation types as well as distinctive geographic factors(such as steep terrain,fractured rocks,and joints)that dominate the occurrence of shallow landslides is *** article presents a novel methodology for comprehensively assessing shallow landslide susceptibility,taking into account both the positive and negative impacts of *** includes considering the positive efects of vegetation canopy interception and plant root reinforcement,as well as the negative efects of plant gravity loading and preferential fow of root *** approach was applied to simulate the regional-scale shallow landslide susceptibility in the Dadu River Basin,a transition zone with rapidly changing terrain,uplifting from the Sichuan Plain to the Qinghai–Tibet *** research fndings suggest that:(1)The proposed methodology is efective and capable of assessing shallow landslide susceptibility in the study area;(2)the proposed model performs better than the traditional pseudo-static analysis method(TPSA)model,with 9.93%higher accuracy and 5.59%higher area under the curve;and(3)when the ratio of vegetation weight loads to unstable soil mass weight is high,an increase in vegetation biomass tends to be advantageous for slope *** study also mapped the spatial distribution of shallow landslide susceptibility in the study area,which can be used in disaster prevention,mitigation,and risk management.

Investigating flexibility and stability boosting transmission expansion planning(TEP)methods can increase the renewable energy(RE)consumption of the power *** this study,we propose a bi-level TEP method for voltage-source-converter-based direct current(VSC-DC),focusing on flexibility and stability ***,we established the TEP framework of VSC-DC,by introducing the evaluation indices to quantify the power system flexibility and ***,we propose a bi-level VSC-DC TEP model:the upper-level model acquires the optimal VSC-DC planning scheme by using the improved moth flame optimization(IMFO)algorithm,and the lower-level model evaluates the flexibility through time-series production ***,we applied the proposedVSC-DC TEPmethod to the modified IEEE-24 and IEEE-39 test systems,and obtained the optimalVSCDC planning *** results verified that the proposed method can achieve excellent RE curtailment with high flexibility and ***,the well-designed IMFO algorithm outperformed the traditional particle swarm optimization(PSO)and moth flame optimization(MFO)algorithms,confirming the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

A Cascading Fault Path Prediction Method for Integrated Energy Distribution Networks Based on the Improved OPA Model under Typhoon Disasters

In recent times,the impact of typhoon disasters on integrated energy active distribution networks(IEADNs)has received increasing attention,particularly,in terms of effective cascading fault path prediction and enhanced fault recovery *** this study,we propose a modified ORNL-PSerc-Alaska(OPA)model based on optimal power flow(OPF)calculation to forecast IEADN cascading fault *** first established the topology and operational model of the IEADNs,and the typical fault scenario was chosen according to the component fault probability and information *** modified OPA model consisted of two layers:An upper-layer model to determine the cascading fault location and a lower-layer model to calculate the OPF by using Yalmip and CPLEX and provide the data to update the upper-layer *** approach was validated via the modified IEEE 33-node distribution system and two real *** results showed that the fault trend forecasted by the novel OPA model corresponded well with the development and movement of the typhoon above the *** proposed model also increased the load recovery rate by>24%compared to the traditional OPA model.
