Virtual speed sensors based algorithm for expressway traffic state estimation

The accurate estimation of expressway traffic state can provide decision-making for both travelers and traffic managers. The speed is one of the most representative parameter of the traffic state. So the expressway speed spatial distribution can be taken as the expressway traffic state equivalent. In this paper, an algorithm based on virtual speed sensors (VSS) is presented to estimate the expressway traffic state (the speed spatial distribution). To gain the spatial distribution of expressway traffic state, virtual speed sensors are defined between adjacent traffic flow sensors. Then, the speed data extracted from traffic flow sensors in time series are mapped to space series to design virtual speed sensors. Then the speed of virtual speed sensors can be calculated with the weight matrix which is related with the speed of virtual speed sensors and the speed data extracted from traffic flow sensors and the speed data extracted from traffic flow sensors in time series. Finally, the expressway traffic state (the speed spatial distribution) can be gained. The acquisition of average travel speed of the expressway is taken for application of this traffic state estimation algorithm. One typical expressway in Beijing is adopted for the experiment analysis. The results prove that this traffic state estimation approach based on VSS is feasible and can achieve a high accuracy.

Traditional green band was focused on straight lines. However, the origin and destination of the main traffic flow in the road network are usually diagonal. Apparently, a straight green band cannot meet the traffic demand in this case. Therefore, it is necessary to study green band with turnings in the zone traffic signal coordination control. This article focuses on the method which could compute the optimal route for an extra traffic flow of commuters and set the green band in a square area of 4*3 intersections, given the basic information of road conditions, traffic volume, split setting, etc. In the simulation, this article uses the data from Huilongguan area in Beijing. Using the Synchro to simulate the road network, it distributes the traffic flow of commuters into four routes respectively and gets the reports of network performance after simulation of each situation. The reports shows that the optimal route, which performs better in the measure of effectiveness, such as delay per vehicle, stops delay per vehicle, speed, fuel combustion efficiency, width of green band, bandwidth efficiency, is exactly consistent with the results calculated by Rout-Choice model.

As section average velocity that is one of the most important traffic flow parameters has a wide range of sources of data, different sources of data vary in standards, advantages and disadvantages. Single-detect equipment can’t meet the needs of multi-purpose and different environments. What’s more, under certain conditions, the detector performance is defective, and it can’t get rich and high-quality section average velocity information. The paper will try to use B-P neural network to do date fusion, to get more realistic traffic flow speed information, to provide a basis for traffic management, control, and induction measures. Taking Beijing as the research background, the expressway section average velocity of multi-source data is adopted to do data fusion in the final section of the study.

为探究美国烤烟的风格特征及其代表性香味成分,通过感官评价、烟气粒相物分析、相对气味活度值(ROAV)分析等,以烟气粒相物含量和转移率为基础进行烤甜香精仿配。结果表明,美国烤烟主要风格特征为干草香、烤甜香和树脂香;主要烤甜香成分为甲基环戊烯醇酮、乙基环戊烯醇酮、甲基麦芽酚、5-羟甲基糠醛和糠醛,前4种成分的ROAV大于1,是主要香味成分,糠醛的ROAV为0.1~1,是重要辅助修饰成分;5种成分转移率为2.67%~33.61%。根据其烟气粒相物含量和转移率进行仿配,仿配香精烤甜香韵突出,与美国烟叶风格类似。

Vehicle classification is now an important part of Intelligent Transportation Systems(ITS).Especially in toll station and parking,real-time vehicle classification technology is used to determine the vehicle information.A novel method based on frequency domain energy spectrum of geomagnetic sensor for real-time vehicle classification was proposed in this *** to the definitions of eight frequency domain energy formulations,the energy values with different frequency regions could by *** with those energy values,the optimal frequency region and energy formulation were *** each vehicle classification has a specific energy region,the classification of each vehicle can be easily differentiated by its energy *** show that the vehicle classification method proposed in this paper has an excellent performance and the average accuracy is more than 90%.Besides,the algorithm makes it easier for applications in sensor nodes with limited computational capability and energy source.

Root-associated bacteria play a vital role in the growth and adaptation of host plants to drought stress. These bacteria can be classified as rhizoplane and rhizosphere bacteria based on their distance from the root surface. Tomato plants are often exposed to periodic drought and nitrogen (N) addition throughout their life cycle, but the impacts of these factors on the plant and root-associated bacteria are not well understood. To gain insight into this relationship, we conducted an experiment to monitor the effects of periodic drought and N addition on rhizoplane and rhizosphere bacteria of tomato plants. Drought and N addition had interactive effects on plant and soil properties, which varied with the timing of drought. There were clear divergences in community traits such as alpha diversity, beta diversity, and network topological features between the two types of bacteria. The rhizoplane bacteria showed lower alpha diversity but higher beta diversity and were more sensitive to drought and N addition than the rhizosphere bacteria. Nitrogen addition could downsize the effects of drought on rhizoplane bacterial community compositions. The higher proximity to the root might induce a community to develop more cooperation between different members to cope with plant metabolites, as revealed by the more connected and modularized community network of the rhizoplane bacteria. Drought at the seedling stage had great legacy effects on plant and soil properties. It may enhance selection, cause the dominance of deterministic processes in the assembly of rhizoplane bacteria, and reduce bacterial community network complexity. In conclusion, N addition could interact with drought in affecting tomato plants and their root-associated bacteria, depending on the timing of drought and the fineness of root niches. The higher sensitivity of rhizoplane bacteria to drought and N addition calls for more research due to their higher proximity and importance to plants in future environment
