I/O parallelism is considered to be a promising approach to achieving highperformance in parallel data warehousing systems where huge amounts of data and complex analyticalqueries have to be processed. This paper proposes a parallel secondary data cube storage structure(PHC for short) to efficiently support the processing of range sum queries and dynamic updates ondata cube using parallel computing systems. Based on PHC, two parallel algorithms for processingrange sum queries and updates are proposed also. Both the algorithms have the same time complexity,O(log^d n/P). The analytical and experimental results show that PHC and the parallel algorithms havehigh performance and achieve optimum speedup.

The rich accumulation of methane(CH_(4))in tectonic coal layers poses a significant obstacle to the safe and efficient extraction of coal seams and coalbed *** coal samples from three geologically complex regions were selected,and the main results obtained by using a variety of research tools,such as physical tests,theoretical analyses,and numerical simulations,are as follows:22.4–62.5 nm is the joint segment of pore volume,and 26.7–100.7 nm is the joint segment of pore specific surface *** the dynamic gas production process of tectonic coal pore structure,the adsorption method of methane molecules is“solid–liquid adsorption is the mainstay,and solid–gas adsorption coexists”.Methane stored in micropores with a pore size smaller than the jointed range is defined as solid-state *** within the jointed range,which transition from micropore filling to surface adsorption,are defined as gaseous *** outside the jointed range,where solid–liquid adsorption occurs,are defined as liquid *** evolution of pore structure affects the methane adsorption mode,which provides basic theoretical guidance for the development of coal seam resources.

针对存在突变测量偏差和未知时变量测噪声场景下的目标跟踪问题,该文提出一种偏差未补偿自适应边缘化容积卡尔曼滤波跟踪方法。首先通过建立差分量测方程来消除恒定的测量偏差,同时构建满足beta-Bernoulli分布的指示变量识别突变测量偏差,将相邻时刻目标状态扩维以满足实时滤波需求,利用逆Wishart分布建模未知量测噪声协方差矩阵,从而建立目标状态、指示变量、噪声协方差矩阵的联合分布,并通过变分贝叶斯推断来求解各个参数的近似后验。为减小滤波负担,对扩维后的状态向量进行边缘化处理,结合容积卡尔曼滤波方法实现边缘化容积卡尔曼滤波跟踪。仿真实验结果表明,所提方法能够同时处理突变测量偏差和未知时变量测噪声,从而对目标进行有效跟踪。

Polypores play a cru cial role in energy recycling and forest regeneration in forest *** majority of them are wood degraders;some are forest pathogens and others are ectomycorrhizal *** basidiocarps provide food and shelter for many organisms,mostly invertebrates,but also some vertebrates,as well as food and medicine for *** extensive research on the species diversity and phylogenetic relationships of polypores in recent years,there remains a lack of comprehensive understanding of their distribution patterns and species composition at the large *** of polypores from the tropical zone,including tropical Africa,tropical America,and tropical Asia,were analyzed for species diversity,distribution patterns,major taxa,and nutritional modes.A total of 1,902 polypore species was found in the three regions,representing 8 orders,46families,and 250 genera of *** orders Polyporales(especially the family Polyporaceae)and Hymenochaetales(especially the family Hymenochaetaceae)had the most prolific taxa,with their species accounting for 93.4%of the total polypores *** of 1,565(or 82.3%)of the total 1,902 species were found in only one of the three regions studied,and we treat them temporarily as"regional endemic species".Only 141species were shared among all three regions,accounting for a mere 7.4%.Tropical Africa and tropical America had the greatest number of shared species and the highest S?rensen similarity index(SC)*** forests had a higher species richness compared with temperate to boreal forests of the Northern Hemisphere,and in addition,also a higher proportion of white rot polypores compared to brown rot and ectomycorrhizal *** study outlines the distribution patterns and species diversity of polypores in the world,shedding light on their ecological significance in diverse ecosystems.

Emergence of ancient cities in relation to geopolitical circumstances and climate change during late Holocene in northeastern Tibetan Plateau, China

The study of the history of human activities in ancient cities has provided valuable evidences for under- standing the evolution of human-land relations during the late Holocene. Numerous ancient cities were discovered through archaeological surveys of the east Qinghai Province, located on the northeastern border of the Tibetan Plateau, China; however, the mystery of when or why these cities were built remains unsolved. As recorded in this paper, we sampled reliable dating materials from 47 ancient cities in the area, determined their ages by radiocarbon dating, and compared the dating results with historical documents and high resolution paleoclimate records to explore the influencing factors for the develop- ment of these ancient cities. The 54 radiocarbon dates indicated that most of these cities were built or repaired during the Han Dynasty （202 BC-AD 220）, Tang Dynasty （AD 618-AD 907）, the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period （AD 907-AD 960）, the Song dynasty （AD 960-AD 1279）, and the Ming Dynasty （AD 1368-AD 1644）. The radiocarbon dates correspond well with historical records of the area. Our work suggests the ancient cities in east Qinghai Province were likely built primarily for military defense, and may have also have been affected by climate change.

AIM: TO investigate the resistance rate of Helicobacter pylori(H pylori) to clarithromycin, metronidazole, amoxicillin and tetracycline to guide clinical practice, and to study the mechanism of Hpylori resistant to clarithromycin. METHODS: Thirty Hpyloristrains were isolated from the mucosa of peptic ulcer, gastric tumor and chronic gastritis patients, then the minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) to clarithromycin, metronidazole, amoxicillin and tetracycline was evaluated by E-test method. The sequence analysis of PCR fragments was conducted in 23S rRNA gene of H pylori resistant to clarithromycin to get the resistance mechanism of the bacteria. RESULTS: Among 30 Hpyloristrains, 7 cases were resistant to clarithromycin, 12 to metronidazole, 2 to tetracycline and no strain was found to be resistant to amoxicillin. The resistance rates were 23.3%, 40%, 6.7% and 0%, respectively. Three new mutation points were found to be related to the clarithromycin resistance in Hpyloriisolates, which were G2224A, C2245T and T2289C. CONCLUSION: In northeast China, H pylori shows high resistance to metronidazole, while sensitive to amoxicillin. The mechanism of resistance to clarithromycin may be related to the mutation of G2224A, C2245T and T2289C in the 23S rRNA gene.

The origin, development and expansion of prehistoric agriculture in East Asia have been widely investigated over the past two decades using archaeobotanical analysis from excavated Neolithic and Bronze Age sites. Research on prehistoric agriculture has predominantly focused in the valleys of the Yellow River and the Yangtze River. Agricultural development during the Neolithic and Bronze Age periods in the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau of southwest China, an important passageway for human migration into Southeast Asia, still remains unclear. In this paper, based on macrofossil and microfossil analysis and radiocarbon dating at the Shilinggang site, we investigate plant subsistence strategies in the Nujiang River valley during the Bronze Age period. Combined with previous archaeobotanical studies in the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, we explore agricultural development processes in this area during the Neolithic and Bronze Age. Our results indicate that rice and foxtail millet were cultivated in Shilinggang around 2500 cal a BP. Three phases of prehistoric agricultural development in the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau can be identified: rice cultivation from 4800–3900 cal a BP, mixed rice and millet crop(foxtail millet and broomcorn millet) cultivation from 3900–3400 cal a BP, and mixed rice, millet crop and wheat cultivation from 3400–2300 cal a BP. The development of agriculture in the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau during the Neolithic and Bronze Age periods was primarily promoted by prehistoric agriculture expansion across Eurasia, agricultural expansion which was also affected by the topographic and hydrological characteristics of the area.

AIM: To evaluate the effect of aclacinomycin A-loaded magnetic polybutylcyanoacrylate nanoparticles on gastric tumor growth in vivo and in ***: Magnetic polybutylcyanoacrylate (PBCA)nanospheres encapsulated with aclacinomycin A (MPNS-ACM) were prepared by interracial polymerization. Particle size, shape and drug content were examined. Female BABL/c nude mice were implanted with MKN-45 gastric carcinoma tissues subcutaneously to establish human gastric carcinoma model. The mice were randomly divided into 5 groups of 6 each: ACM group (8 mg/kg bin); group of high dosage of MPNS-ACM (8 mg/kg bin); group of low dosage of MPNS-ACM (1.6 mg/kg bin); group of magnetic PBCA nanosphere (MPNS) and control group(normal saline). Magnets (2.5 T) were implanted into the tumor masses in all of the mice one day before the ***-mentioned drugs were administered intravenously to the mice of every group on the first day and sixth *** the mice were sacrificed, tumor weight was measured, and the assay of granulocyte- macrophage colony forming-unit (CFU-GM) was performed on semi-solid culture. White blood cell, alanine aminotransferase and creatine were examined. 3-[4-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) was used to examine the viability of MKN-45 cells afger incubation with different concentrations of ACM, MPNS and MPNS-ACM suspension respectively for 48 ***: Content of ACM in MPNS-ACM was 12.0% and the average diameter of the particles was 210 nm. The inhibitory rates of ACM (8 mg/kg bin), high dosage of MPNS-ACM (8 mg/kg bin), low dosage of MPNS-ACM (1.6 mg/kg bin)and MPNS on human gastric carcinoma in nude mice were 22.63%, 52.55%, 30.66% and 10.22%, respectively. There was a significant decrease in the number of CFU-GM of bone marrow in ACM group compared with control group,whereas no obvious change was observed in that of the nanosphere groups. The values of 50% inhibition concentration (IC50) of ACM, MPNS and MPNS-ACM were 0.09,

AIM: To study the effects of chromic-P32 phosphate (32p colloids) interstitial administration in Pc-3 implanted pancreatic carcinoma, and investigate its anticancer ***: Ninety-eight tumor bearing nude mice werekilled at different time points after the injection of 32Pcolloids to the tumor core with observed radioactivity. The light microscopy, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and immuno-histochemistry and flow cytometry were used to study the rates of tumor cell necrosis, proliferating cell nuclear antigen index, the micro vessel density (MVD). The changes of the biological response to the lymphatic transported 32p colloids in the inguinal lymph node (ILN) were dynamically observed, and the percentage of tumor cell apoptosis, and Apo2.7, caspase-3, Bcl-2, Baxrelated gene expression were observed ***: The half-life of effective medication is 13 dafter injection of 32P colloids to the tumor stroma, in 1-6groups, the tumor cell necrosis rates were 20%, 45%,65%, 70%, 95% and 4%, respectively (F= 4.14-105.36, P＜0.01). MVD were 38.5±4.0, 28.0±2.9, 17.0±2.9, 8.8±1.5,5.7±2.3 and 65.0±5.2 (t= 11.9-26.1, P＜0.01), *** TEM fairly differentiated Pc-3 cells were found. Thirty days after medication, tumors were shrunk and dried with scabs detached, and those in control group increased in size prominently with plenty of hypodermic blood vessels. In all animals the ILN were enlarged but in medicated animals they appeared later and smaller than those in control group. The extent of irradiative injury in ILN was positively correlated to the dosage of medication. Typical tumor cell apoptosis could be found under TEM inanimals with intra-tumoral injection of low dosed 32P colloids. The peak of apoptosis occurred in 2.96 MBq group and 24 h after irradiation. In the course of irradiationinduced apoptosis, the value of Bcl-2/Bax was down regulated; Apo2.7 and caspase-3 protein expression were prominently increased dose dependently. CONCLUSION: 32
