Regeneration characteristics of gaps and their effect on Abies fargesii forests in the Shennongjia National Nature Reserve,China

Abiesfargesii is an evergreen tree species of the Pinaceae family, one of the most important cultivated timber species, endemic to China. It is of great importance for the maintenance of vegetation landscape and the preservation of endangered animal species. Community regeneration of forest gaps and their effect on A. fargesii forests in the Shennongjia National Nature Reserve were studied based on two-year field survey data. The results show that 1） forest gap regeneration is an important approach for the regeneration of A. fargesii communities; regeneration characteristics in the gaps of the broad-leaved species Betula albo-sinensis Burk. and the shade-tolerant species A. fargesii differed from those of understory species. 2） A. fargesii is most predominant in early gap regeneration but, over time, is gradually replaced by other species. Seedlings less than three years old accounted for 45.7% of all seedlings and only 6.3% of saplings older than seven years. 3） In terms of height and basal diameter in different sized gaps, size of seedlings showed the following trend： medium 〉 small 〉 large 〉 understory; the relative growth rate appeared in the same order. 4） The size of seedlings did not appear different between within-gap positions in medium and small gaps, but the tallest seedlings grew in the south of the large gaps and declined towards the center and north edges. 5） Principal component analysis suggests that the most important factors for the growth and distribution ofA. fargesii seedlings decreased in order of gap size, slope direction, gap microenvironment and tree-shrub-grass cover.

Changing Tendency Analysis of Chinese Normal Male's Semen Quality in Recent 25 Years:Samples from Chinese Documents

Objective To analyze the trend of change in semen quality of Chinese healthy men over recent 25 years. Methods A total of 115 reports were collected on quality inspection of semen of healthy Chinese men between 1985-2009 through literature search, which involved 23 126 persons from 69 counties and cities. Trend of change in semen parameters was analyzed by linear regression model and rank sum test. Results Sperm concentration and non-progressive motility （c%） declined, and the linear equation was of statistics value. Linear equations include y=2.968-0. 004x （P〈0.05） and y=3.204-0.026x （P〈0.05）. As the results of K-S rank sum test showed, the difference of sperm concentration and total sperm count in the three groups, i.e., the group for 1985-1989, the group for 1990-1999 and the group for 2000-2009 was of statistics value. Conclusion The semen concentration decline over recent 25 years （P〈0.05）. of healthy Chinese men appears a possible

AZD1775 synergizes with SLC7A11 inhibition to promote ferroptosis

Tumor suppressor p53-mediated cell cycle arrest and DNA damage repair may exert cytoprotective effects against cancer therapies, including WEE1 inhibition. Considering that p53 activation can also lead to multiple types of cell death, the role of this tumor suppressor in WEE1 inhibitor-based therapies remains disputed. In this study, we reported that nucleolar stress-mediated p53 activation enhanced the WEE1 inhibitor AZD1775-induced ferroptosis to suppress lung cancer growth. Our findings showed that AZD1775 promoted ferroptosis by blocking cystine uptake, an action similar to that of Erastin. Meanwhile, inhibition of WEE1 by the WEE1 inhibitors or si RNAs induced compensatory upregulation of SLC7A11, which conferred resistance to ferroptosis. Mechanistically, AZD1775 prevented the enrichment of H3K9me3, a histone marker of transcriptional repression, on the SLC7A11 promoter by repressing the expression of the histone methyltransferase SETDB1, thereby enhancing NRF2-mediated SLC7A11 transcription. This finding was also validated using the H3K9me3 inhibitor BRD4770. Remarkably, we found that the nucleolar stress-inducing agent Actinomycin D(Act. D) inhibited SLC7A11 expression by activating p53, thus augmenting AZD1775-induced ferroptosis. Moreover, the combination of AZD1775 and Act. D synergistically suppressed wild-type p53-harboring lung cancer cell growth both in vitro and in vivo. Altogether, our study demonstrates that AZD1775 promotes ferroptosis by targeting cystine uptake but also mediates the adaptive activation of SLC7A11 through the WEE1-SETDB1 cascade and NRF2-induced transcription, and inhibition of SLC7A11 by Act. D boosts the anti-tumor efficacy of AZD1775 by enhancing ferroptosis in cancers with wild-type p53.

Multifunctional Nacre‑Like Nanocomposite Papers for Electromagnetic Interference Shielding via Heterocyclic Aramid/MXene Template‑Assisted In‑Situ Polypyrrole Assembly

Robust, ultra-flexible, and multifunctional MXene-basedelectromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding nanocomposite filmsexhibit enormous potential for applications in artificial intelligence,wireless telecommunication, and portable/wearable electronic *** this work, a nacre-inspired multifunctional heterocyclic aramid(HA)/MXene@polypyrrole (PPy) (HMP) nanocomposite paper withlarge-scale, high strength, super toughness, and excellent tolerance tocomplex conditions is fabricated through the strategy of HA/MXenehydrogel template-assisted in-situ assembly of PPy. Benefiting from the"brick-and-mortar" layered structure and the strong hydrogen-bondinginteractions among MXene, HA, and PPy, the paper exhibits remarkable mechanical performances, including high tensile strength (309.7 MPa),outstanding toughness (57.6 MJ m−3), exceptional foldability, and structural stability against ultrasonication. By using the template effect ofHA/MXene to guide the assembly of conductive polymers, the synthesized paper obtains excellent electronic conductivity. More importantly,the highly continuous conductive path enables the nanocomposite paper to achieve a splendid EMI shielding effectiveness (EMI SE) of 54.1 dBat an ultra-thin thickness (25.4 μm) and a high specific EMI SE of 17,204.7 dB cm2g−1. In addition, the papers also have excellent applicationsin electromagnetic protection, electro-/photothermal de-icing, thermal therapy, and fire safety. These findings broaden the ideas for developinghigh-performance and multifunctional MXene-based films with enormous application potential in EMI shielding and thermal management.

The low-melting glass of Bi2O_(3)-B2O_(3)-SiO_(2)(BiBSi)system was used for the first time for laser sealing of vacuum *** the condition of constant boron content,how the structure and properties vary with Bi/Si ratio in low-melting glass was *** addition,the relationships between laser power,low-melting glass solder with different Bi/Si ratios and laser sealing shear strength were *** results show that a decrease in the Bi/Si ratio can cause a contraction of the glass network of the low-melting glass,leading to an increase of its characteristic temperature and a decrease of its coefficient of thermal *** laser sealing,the copper ions in the low-melting glass play an endothermic role.A change in the Bi/Si ratio will affect the valence state transition of the copper ions in the low-melting *** absorbance of the low-melting glass does not follow the expected correlation with the Bi/Si ratio,but shows a linear correlation with the content of divalent copper *** greater the concentration of divalent copper ions,the greater the absorbance of the low-melting glass,and the lower the laser power required for laser *** shear strength of the low melting glass solder after laser sealing was tested,and it was found that the maximum shear strength of Z1 glass sample was the highest up to 2.67 MPa.

长江上游特有鱼类红唇薄鳅微卫星DNA分离及序列特征分析

为筛选出特异性高的红唇薄鳅微卫星位点,采用生物素探针(AC)13杂交和FIASCO磁珠富集法从红唇薄鳅基因组DNA中分离出一批微卫星序列,并对其序列特征进行分析。结果显示,157个单克隆中,阳性克隆为131个,阳性克隆率为83.44%。排除重复序列后,共得到69条重复类型和重复次数不同微卫星序列,阳性富集率为52.67%。在这些微卫星序列中,共检测到110个微卫星位点,其中90个二碱基重复微卫星位点,14个四碱基重复微卫星位点,6个五碱基重复微卫星位点。二碱基重复中,以AC/TG重复最为丰富(73个位点),四碱基重复中,AAAG重复数目最多(6个位点),只发现了1种五碱基重复TCTTC(6个位点)。微卫星重复次数在6~10次之间最多(65.45%),20次以上的较少(0.91%)。二碱基重复微卫星的变异系数最大(36.52%),四碱基重复类型的变异系数最小(26.75%)。红唇薄鳅微卫星以完美型为主(63.64%),复合型次之(23.63%),非完美型最少(12.73%)。筛选出的这些微卫星位点将对红唇薄鳅及近缘种微卫星分子标记开发和应用提供依据。

2011年7月—2012年4月对武汉市汉阳地区五个湖泊(后官湖,三角湖,南太子湖,墨水湖和龙阳湖)的水质及沉水植物进行了季节性调查,以了解湖泊富营养化现状及其对沉水植物的影响。结果显示:后官湖为中营养,而三角湖、南太子湖、墨水湖和龙阳湖为重度富营养,其中龙阳湖污染最重。共采集沉水植物7种,隶属于5科5属,主要种类为金鱼藻(Ceratophyllum demersum)、苦草(Vallisneria spiralis)和菹草(Potamogeton crispus)。沉水植物主要分布在后官湖沿岸带,其它四个湖泊中沉水植物已严重退化,仅在部分水域偶见。后官湖沉水植物盖度和生物量最大值出现在10月,分别为67.5%和5.58 kg/m^2,1月份较低,分别为29.3%和1.88 kg/m^2,优势种存在明显的季节更替。结果表明,汉阳地区湖泊沉水植物退化与富营养化引起的水下光照下降和高密度的水产养殖有关。

Three-dimensional fracture of UO2 ceramic pellets by phase field modeling

Fracture is the primary failure type for the UO2ceramic pellets,which are operated under irradiation and thermal processes,and physically confined by the *** this work,by combining closely coupled physical processes of heat conduction,heat transfer,and mechanical deformation with the cohesive phase field framework,we proposed a high-precision modeling of quasistatic cracking of three-dimensional （3D） UO2ceramic fuel pellets under high temperature and *** simulation results agree well with the experimental results,indicating that the proposed method has the potential to capture 3D crack modes in the interested time ***,we studied the relation of the 3D fracture patterns of fuel pellets with the peak power *** was found that the power level plays a critical role in determining the competition between radial and circumferential cracks,as well as transverse penetrating cracks.

目的:研究近25年来中国正常男性的精液质量变化趋势。方法:通过文献检索,收集1985～2009年间我国正常男性精液质量检测报告文献115篇,涉及69个县市的23 126人。用直线回归法和秩和检验分析精液参数的变化趋势。结果:精子密度、精子非前向运动率(c%)呈显著下降趋势。1985～1989年、1990～1999年、2000～2009年3组的精子密度、精子总数的秩和检验显示组间差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论:近25年来我国正常男性的精子密度可能呈下降趋势。
