Proteomics is becoming more and more mature, but the detection of low abundance proteins is still a difficult task. Laser-induced fluorescence（LIF） detection is one of the most sensitive detection methods in a capillary electrophoresis（CE） system. However, most proteins do not exhibit favourable native fluorescence, a derivatization procedure is necessary for LIF detection of proteins. Since the derivatization reaction between protein and fluorescent reagent takes place after the separation of protein, the separation cannot be compromised by multiple derivatization products, the post-column derivatization becomes an attractive method for derivatization in CE-LIF system.

The existing genetic models of the South China Sea(SCS)include an extrusion model of the Indochina Peninsula,a back-arc extension model,and a subduction and dragging model of the Proto-South China Sea(PSCS).However,none of these models has been universally accepted because they do not fully match a large number of geological phenomena and *** examining the regional tectonics and integrating them with measured data for the SCS,in this study,a back-arc spreading-sinistral shear model is *** is suggested that the SCS is a back-arc basin formed by northward subduction of the PSCS and its formation was triggered by left-lateral strike-slip motion due to the northward drift of the Philippine Sea *** left-lateral strike-slip fault on the western margin caused by the Indo-Eurasian collision changed the direction of the Southwest Sub-basin's spreading axis from nearly E–W to NE–SW,and subduction retreat caused the spreading ridge to jump *** study summarizes the evolution of the SCS and adjacent regions since the Late Mesozoic.

The recycling of waste polyethylene terephthalate（PET）, an extensively used polymer as plastic and fiber materials, has become an urgent topic due to the rapid generation and accumulation of plastic waste into the environment. Current chemical recycling approaches to depolymerize and convert PET into 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol（CHDM）, an important chemical in the production of advanced polyesters, predominantly use organic solvents, such as alcohols or dioxane. Herein, we developed an environmentally friendly and economically viable pathway for converting PET to CHDM using water as the solvent. In this process, PET is sequentially hydrolyzed in water, hydrogenated to 1,4-cyclohexane dicarboxylic acid（CHDA）, and then reduced to CHDM. The PET conversion rate is self-enhanced in aqueous medium via acid-catalyzed hydrolysis by the generated CHDA intermediate. A Pd-based catalyst（e.g., Pd/C） selectively hydrogenates the arene ring of the PET monomer, terephthalic acid intermediate, and a Ru-Sn/C bimetallic catalyst reduces its COOH to CH2OH group. At optimized reaction conditions, a complete conversion of PET and 80.1% yield of CHDM are obtained. Alternatively, this approach can also efficiently produce CHDA from PET, with a yield up to 86.4%.

Conductive polymer foam(CPF)with excellent compressibility and variable resistance has promising applications in electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding and other integrated functions for wearable ***,its insufficient change amplitude of resistance with compressive strain generally leads to a degradation of shielding performance during ***,an innovative loading strategy of conductive materials on polymer foam is proposed to significantly increase the contact probability and contact area of conductive components under *** inter-skeleton conductive films are constructed by loading alginate-decorated magnetic liquid metal on the polymethacrylate films hanged between the foam skeleton(denoted as AMLM-PM foam).Traditional point contact between conductive skeletons under compression is upgraded to planar contact between conductive ***,the resistance change of AMLM-PM reaches four orders of magnitude under ***,the inter-skeleton conductive films can improve the mechanical strength of foam,prevent the leakage of liquid metal and increase the scattering area of EM ***-PM foam has strain-adaptive EMI shielding performance and shows compression-enhanced shielding effectiveness,solving the problem of traditional CPFs upon *** upgrade of resistance response also enables foam to achieve sensitive pressure sensing over a wide pressure range and compression-regulated Joule heating function.

A computational model for an ozone oxidation column reactor used in dyeing wastewater treatment is proposed to represent,simulate,and predict the ozone bubble *** the hydrodynamics,mass transfer,and ozone oxidation reaction,coupling modeling can more realistically calculate the ozone oxidation bubble process than the splitting methods proposed in previous *** modeling is validated and shows great consistency with experimental *** verified model is used to analyze the effect of operating conditions,such as the initial gas velocity and the ozone concentration,and structural conditions,such as multiple gas *** ozone consumption is influenced by the gas velocity and the initial ozone *** ozone’s utilization decreases with the increasing gas velocity while nearly the same at different initial ozone *** results can be used in guiding the practical operation of dyeing wastewater treatment and in other ozonation systems with known rate constants in wastewater treatment.

Dendrite formation is a major obstacle, e.g., capacity loss and short circuit,to the next-generation high-energy-density lithium(Li)-metal batteries. The development of successful Li dendrite mitigation strategies is impeded by an insu?cient understanding in Li dendrite growth mechanisms. The Li-plating-induced internal stress in Li-metal and its e?ects on dendrite growth have been widely studied, but the underlying microcosmic mechanism is elusive. In the present study, the role of the plating-induced stress in dendrite formation is analyzed through ?rst-principles calculations and ab initio molecular dynamic(AIMD) simulations. It is shown that the deposited Li forms a stable atomic nano?lm structure on the copper(Cu) substrate, and the adsorption energy of Li atoms increases from the Li-Cu interface to the deposited Li surface, leading to more aggregated Li atoms at the interface. Compared with the pristine Li-metal, the deposited Li in the early stage becomes compacted and su?ers the in-plane compressive stress. Interestingly,there is a giant strain gradient distribution from the Li-Cu interface to the deposited Li surface, making the deposited atoms adjacent to the Cu surface tend to press upwards with perturbation and causing the dendrite growth. This provides an insight into the atomicscale origin of Li dendrite growth, and may be useful for suppressing the Li dendrite in Li-metal-based rechargeable batteries.
