Is Peer Victimization Associated with Higher Online Trolling among Adolescents?The Mediation of Hostile Attribution Bias and the Moderation of Trait Mindfulness

Background:In recent years,online trolling has garnered significant attention due to its detrimental effects on mental health and social *** current study examined the influence of peer victimization on adolescent online trolling behavior,proposing that hostile attribution bias mediated this relationship and that trait mindfulness moderated both the direct and indirect ***:A total of 833 Chinese adolescents completed the measurements of peer victimization,hostile attribution bias,trait mindfulness,and online *** mediation analysis was performed to examine the relationships between these ***:After controlling for gender and residential address,the study found a significant positive correlation between peer victimization and online trolling,with hostile attribution bias serving as a *** addition,trait mindfulness moderated the direct relationship between peer victimization and online ***,the effect of peer victimization on online trolling was attenuated when adolescents had high levels of trait *** results of the study emphasized the joint role of peer and personal factors in adolescents’online trolling behavior and provide certain strategies for intervening in adolescents’online trolling ***:The results of the study suggest that strategies focusing on peer support and mindfulness training can have a positive impact on reducing online trolling behavior,promoting adolescents’mental health,and their long-term development.

Microfluidic preparation of surfactant-free ultrafine DAAF with tunable particle size for insensitive initiator explosives

High purity and ultrafine DAAF (u-DAAF) is an emerging insensitive charge in initiators. Although there are many ways to obtain u-DAAF, developing a preparation method with stable operation, accurate control, good quality consistency, equipment miniaturization, and minimum manpower is an inevitable requirement to adapt to the current social technology development trend. Here reported is the microfluidic preparation of u-DAAF with tunable particle size by a passive swirling microreactor. Under the guidance of recrystallization growth kinetics and mixing behavior of fluids in the swirling microreactor, the key parameters (liquid flow rate, explosive concentration and crystallization temperature) were screened and optimized through screening experiments. Under the condition that no surfactant is added and only experimental parameters are controlled, the particle size of recrystallized DAAF can be adjusted from 98 nm to 785 nm, and the corresponding specific surface area is 8.45 m(2)g(-1) to 1.33 m(2)g(-1). In addition, the preparation method has good batch stability, high yield (90.8%-92.6%) and high purity (99.0%-99.4%), indicating a high practical application potential. Electric explosion derived flyer initiation tests demonstrate that the u-DAAF shows an initiation sensitivity much lower than that of the raw DAAF, and comparable to that of the refined DAAF by conventional spraying crystallization method. This study provides an efficient method to fabricate u-DAAF with narrow particle size distribution and high reproducibility as well as a theoretical reference for fabrication of other ultrafine explosives. The binding and structural basis of fox ACE2 to RBDs from different sarbecoviruses

Hemin blocks TIGIT/PVR interaction and induces ferroptosis to elicit synergistic effects of cancer immunotherapy

Thromboangiitis obliterans(TAO)is a rare,chronic,progressive,and segmental inflammatory disease characterized by a high rate of amputation,significantly compromising the quality of life of ***-Miao-Yong-An decoction(SMYA),a tradition-al prescription,exhibits anti-inflammatory,anti-thrombotic,and various other pharmacological ***,it was fully proved to be effective for TAO therapy,but the specific therapeutic effect of SMYA on TAO has been ***,deep unveiling the mechanism of SMYA in TAO for identifying clinical therapeutic targets is extremely *** this study,we observed elev-ated levels of IL-17A in the peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs)of TAO patients,whereas the expression of miR-548j-5p was significantly decreased.A negative correlation between the levels of miR-548j-5p and IL-17A was also *** vitro ex-periments showed that overexpression of miR-548j-5p led to a decrease in IL-17A levels,whereas downregulation of miR-548j-5p showed the opposite *** a dual luciferase assay,we confirmed that miR-548j-5p directly targets ***,serum containing SMYA effectively decreased IL-17A levels by increasing the expression of *** importantly,the results of in vivo tests indicated that SMYA mitigated the development of TAO by inhibiting IL-17A through the upregulation of miR-548j-5p in vascular *** conclusion,SMYA significantly enhances the expression of miR-548j-5p,thereby reducing the levels of the target gene IL-17A and alleviating *** research not only identifies novel targets and pathways for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of TAO but also advances the innovation in traditional Chinese medicine through the elucidation of the SMYA/miR-548j-5p/IL-17A regulatory axis in the pathogenesis of TAO.

Pyrimethamine upregulates BNIP3 to interfere SNARE-mediated autophagosome-lysosomal fusion in hepatocellular carcinoma

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common tumor types and remains a major clinical challenge. Increasing evidence has revealed that mitophagy inhibitors can enhance the effect of chemotherapy on HCC. However, few mitophagy inhibitors have been approved for clinical use in humans. Pyrimethamine (Pyr) is used to treat infections caused by protozoan parasites. Recent studies have reported that Pyr may be beneficial in the treatment of various tumors. However, its mechanism of action is still not clearly defined. Here, we found that blocking mitophagy sensitized cells to Pyr-induced apoptosis. Mechanistically, Pyr potently induced the accumulation of autophagosomes by inhibiting autophagosome-lysosome fusion in human HCC cells. In vitro and in vivo studies revealed that Pyr blocked autophagosome-lysosome fusion by upregulating BNIP3 to inhibit synaptosomal-associated protein 29 (SNAP29)-vesicle-associated membrane protein 8 (VAMP8) interaction. Moreover, Pyr acted synergistically with sorafenib (Sora) to induce apoptosis and inhibit HCC proliferation in vitro and in vivo. Pyr enhances the sensitivity of HCC cells to Sora, a common chemotherapeutic, by inhibiting mitophagy. Thus, these results provide new insights into the mechanism of action of Pyr and imply that Pyr could potentially be further developed as a novel mitophagy inhibitor. Notably, Pyr and Sora combination therapy could be a promising treatment for malignant HCC.
