For automated vehicles,comfortable driving will improve passengers’ *** fuel consumption brings economic profits for car owners,decreases the impact on the environment and increases energy *** addition to comfort and fuel-economy,automated vehicles also have the basic requirements of safety and *** this purpose,an adaptive cruise control (ACC) algorithm with multi-objectives is proposed based on a model predictive control (MPC) *** the proposed ACC algorithm,safety is guaranteed by constraining the inter-distance within a safe range; the requirements of comfort and car-following are considered to be the performance criteria and some optimal reference trajectories are introduced to increase *** performances of the proposed ACC algorithm are simulated and analyzed in five representative traffic scenarios and multiple *** results show that not only are safety and car-following objectives satisfied,but also driving comfort and fuel-economy are improved significantly.

We study the transient response dynamics of^(87)Rb atomic vapor buffered in 8 torr Ne gas through an electromagnetically induced transparency configured inΛ-***,the temporal transmission spectra versus probe detuning by switching on and off the coupling one show complex *** transmitted probe light intensity drops to a minimum value when the coupling light turns off,showing a strong *** at the moment of turning on the coupling light at a subsequent delayed time,the atomic medium shows a fast transient *** account for the transient switching feature,in the time-dependent optical Bloch equation,we must take the transverse relaxation dephasing process of atomic vapor into account,as well as the fluorescence relaxation along with the optical *** work supplies a technique to quantify the transverse relaxation time scale and to sensitively monitor its variation along the environment by observing the transient dynamics of coherent medium,which is helpful in characterizing the coherent feature of the atomic medium.

We report a sensitive detection of high Rydberg atom with large dipole moment utilizing its deflection near a pair of parallel cylindrical copper rods which are oppositely charged. When the low-field seeking state Rydberg atoms fly across the gradient electric field formed by the pair of rods, they will be pushed away from the rods while the high-field seeking state ones will be attracted towards the rods. These atoms will form different patterns on an ion imaging system placed downwards at the end of the rods. The spatial distribution of the deflected atoms on the imaging system is also simulated, in good agreement with the experimental results, from which we can deduce the quantum state information of the excited atoms. This state resolvable Rydberg atom detection can be used for the dynamics research of the dipole-dipole interaction between atoms with large dipole moments.

We have experimentally offset-locked the frequencies of two lasers using electromagnetically induced transparency（EIT） spectroscopy of ^（85）Rb vapor with a buffer gas in a magnetic field at room temperature. The magnetic field is generated by a permanent magnet mounted on a translation stage and its field magnitude can be varied by adjusting the distance between the magnet and Rb cell, which maps the laser locking frequency to the space position of the magnet. This frequency-space mapping technique provides an unambiguous daily laser frequency detuning operation with high accuracy.A repeatability of less than 0.5 MHz is achieved with the locking frequency detuned up to 184 MHz when the magnetic field varies from 0 up to 80 G.

We have presented a high resolution spectroscopy of Rb in magnetic field by far-detuning electromagnetically induced transparency(EIT).The EIT spectrum in theΞ-type configuration is usually companied by a double resonance optical pumping(DROP)due to the strong optical coupling between the two upper states,leading to the spectral lines seriously deformed and widely broadened for complex relaxation processes in *** we demonstrate a high resolution spectroscopy by far-detuning EIT for^(87)Rb 5S_(1/2)→5P_(3/2)→5D_(5/2)in magnetic *** method of far-detuning eliminates the relaxation in DROP to the most extent and decreases the spectral linewidth from more than 20 MHz down to its natural linewidth limit(6 MHz).The deformation of the spectral lines also disappears and the observed spectra are well in accordance with the theoretical *** work shows that far-detuning EIT is a reliable high resolution spectroscopic method when the relaxation in DROP cannot be neglected,especially for the case of transition to low excited states.

AIM: To study the capacity of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BM-MSCs) trans-differentiating into islet-like cells and to observe the effect of portal vein transplantation of islet-like cells in the treatment of streptozotocin-induced diabetic rat. METHODS: BM-MSCs were isolated from SD rats and induced to differentiate into islet-like cells under defined conditions. Differentiation was evaluated with electron microscopy, RT-PCR, immunofluorescence and flow cytometry. insulin release after glucose challenge was tested with ELiSA. Then allogeneic islet-like cells were transplanted into diabetic rats via portal vein. Blood glucose levels were monitored and islet hormones were detected in the liver and pancreas of the recipient by immunohistochemistry. RESULTS: BM-MSCs were spheroid adherent monolayers with high CD90, CD29 and very low CD45 expression. Typical islet-like cells clusters were formed after induction. Electron microscopy revealed that secretory granules were densely packed within the cytoplasm of the differentiated cells. The spheroid cells expressed islet related genes and hormones. The insulin-positive cells accounted for 19.8% and mean fluorescence intensity increased by 2.6 fold after induction. The cells secreted a small amount of insulin that was increased 1.5 fold after glucose challenge. After transplantation, islet-like cells could locate in the liver expressing islet hormones and lower the glucose levels of diabetic rats during d 6 to d ***: Rat BM-MSCs could be transdifferentiated into islet-like cells in vitro . Portal vein transplantation of islet-like cells could alleviate the hyperglycemia of diabetic rats.

With the aim of providing effective periodontal disease therapeutic method, multilayer membranes which were loaded with drug for guided tissue regeneration were prepared using an immerseprecipitation phase inversion technique. Single layer, bi-layer and tri-layer membranes were fabricated with chitosan used as cartier and tinidazole as medicine model which was loaded on the membrane. The influence of layer on structure and properties of membrane were studied by SEM, UV spectrophotometer and mechanical test. Drug release properties of three types of layer membranes were also investigated. The results showed that release rate could be slown down in both bi-layer and tri-layer membranes （to 11 days and 14 days respectively） and tri-layer membrane lasted the longest. After a process of rapid release, the concentration of tinidazole which was released by the membrane was maintained at an efficient dosage level. Compared with single layer and bi- layer membranes, we found tri-layer membrane could play a role in controlling low-rate drug release especially at the early stage of release, and keep an efficient dosage at affected part for a long period of time. The loss of drug which loaded on membrane decreased from 84.6% for single layer to 13.04% for tri-layer. The mechanical strength of three types of membrane were detected and showed that it could meet the requiremens of clinical practice. The membranes especially with tri-layer could be more valuable in application.

Objective:To investigate the high risk factors and methods of prevention and treatment of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) in assisted reproductive techniques (ART).Methods: Clinical data of 93 cycles of OHSS patients after IVF-ET treatment from Apr. 1989to Oct. 2002 were analyzed ***: (1) A large number of follicles stimulated, luteal phase support with HCG and pregnancy were high risk factors to induce OHSS. (2) Longer disease process, more severe symptoms and more albumins used for treatment of OHSS were commonoy observed in pregnant patients with OHSS compared with non-pregnant ones. (3) Vena dropping human serum albumin is one of the most successful treatment as plasma expanders through restoration of colloid osmotic pressure; paracentesis is necessary for critical OHSS patients with severe ascites and hydrothorax;(4) Occasionally therapeutic abortion of an early gestation may be an only way for lifesaving when all other methods have ***: OHSS is a serious complication of controlled ovarian hyperstimulation. Proper prevention and treatment of OHSS are important for patient safety in ART.

Simulations of electron zebra stripes in the inner radiation belt using a composite empirical electric field model

The phenomenon termed “zebra stripes” manifests as regular patterns in the energy-space(L shell) spectrum of energetic electrons(ranging from tens to hundreds ke V) within the inner radiation belt. These structures exhibit drift-periodic behavior and commonly arise from large-scale electric field perturbations near the substorm onsets. In this study, we introduce a composite electric field model and replicate the formation, structure, and evolution of zebra stripes using a bounce-averaged test particle code under this electric field model. High-resolution measurements of energetic electrons obtained from the Van Allen Probes and the recently launched Macao Science Satellites-1 are used as initial conditions and served to validate our test particle simulations. Comparative analyses between observed data and simulations demonstrate our test particle method's efficacy in capturing zebra stripes' general behavior. Moreover, the composite model proves capable of reproducing realistic variations in the electric field within the inner radiation belt to a certain extent. Nevertheless, subtle differences emerge in the flux strength and the positions of stripes. These disparities primarily stem from limitations inherent in the electric field model and the initial conditions of the simulation. Acknowledging that the model represents an average case, it is conceivable that real-world scenarios may deviate from the average, thereby introducing variations in the observed phenomena.

Overexpression of low-density lipoprotein receptor prevents neurotoxic polarization of astrocytes via inhibiting NLRP3 inflammasome activation in experimental ischemic stroke
